My favorite brands are here (Billy Reid, theory, Vince) and the selection of each brand is quite good. In addition, I have found the service to be fantastic and attentive. The prices are not cheap, but these are labels you would find in the finest department stores. If you wait for their end of season sales, you can get some ridiculous bargains. Michael carries brand names which are not readily found at the outlets such as Rodd and Gunn and Castaway of Nantucket. He also carries brands which are designed and manufactured under various French labels. The shop is small so Michael's selections of clothing and brand names have to be spot on...and they are. I found Michael to be very helpful in explaining the size, cut, and quality of clothing labels with which I was unfamiliar. My initial reaction to his clothing selections focused on a much younger demographic. I was, however, pleasantly surprised that mature men can wear his clothing with equal style and fit. (It also helps that a Golden Retriever greets you at the door as I have six Goldens). The sartorial offerings seem to change frequently thus suggesting regular visits. If only cognac or wine were served casually weekend afternoons to serious customers...life would be more wonderful! I found the best means to connect with Michael to inquire about specific brands is through social media under the shop's name. This worked well in a recent purchase. I would encourage anyone visiting RB to visit MGT and Toggery on Baltimore Avenue. Much has changed in the RB I knew as a child. But one thing that RB has always provided its visitors and residents is a fine selection of unique shops and shopping experiences. It is important to support small and local shop owners. Retail trends suggest a return to small shops and personal service. MGT and Toggery is one such shop.
