It hit the spot. For my meal I got a burger which was great, menu was in Polish but bartender helped explain things to me (other than a few words like tomato my Polish vocab is lacking!). The fries had some rosemary or spices on them and were delicious. It was a lot of food and I couldn't finish it. Next up I got a beer they just tapped while I was there which was awesome. Until recently, when I had some time to kill after work and wanted to sit down somewhere to read a book but didn't feel like going to the Starbucks on the other side of the street. Okrąglak must have been amazing during the summer. Now, when they've removed their little outdoor seating arrangement and the customers are left with a couple of tables and bar stools inside, we end up with a tiny bar with huge windows and an amazing view at the Palace of Culture. I had a mug of mulled wine (12 pln) and enjoyed it very much. It wasn't entirely suited for my planned activity, which was reading a book, as mentioned above, but it was nice and cozy anyways and the bad lightening didn't stop me. The barman was nice with a smile on his face so I have absolutely nothing negative to say on that matter. I hope they'll remain a part of the vast map of Warsaw's pubs and clubs because I'd love to come here next summer! In the mean time, pop by for a mug of mulled wine or beer (they also have a wide selection of other alcoholic beverages and typical "pub" snacks, btw).

The bartender said a table had asked to watch the England-Brazil match. A few guys from that table looked up at the TVs every few minutes and left in the 55th minute. My pick from the menu was the seafood mix, which came with a mix of shrimp, octopus, and squid in a buttery, garlicky white wine broth, along with baguette slices and two different dipping sauces (a citrusy yellow sauce and an herbaceous green sauce) served in hollowed out halves of limes. The flavors of the seafood and the sauces were simply incredible, and the bread was the perfect vessel for mopping up the broth. We also ordered the "Swieza ryba z grilla," a whole grilled sea bass, which was stuffed with herbs on the inside and seasoned perfectly on the outside, creating a moist interior and a crispy, flavorful exterior. The delicious fish was served with a long, crispy crouton, along with a colorful array of pickled vegetables including beets, cucumbers, cauliflower, carrots, and radishes. I have had some great kielbasa homemade in Poland and this was almost on the same level. Their location is quiet and tranquil. Even with the occasional car passing by and a footpath by the main entrance, it felt like the outside world melted away. Conversation is easy to continue even in the middle of a tourist attraction.
