My wife recently bought the In Air E-Z build model. It was my job to put it together.
Parts were all there. So too was the instruction sheet . It was obvious to me at that point that no expense was spared to make this a memorable experience. The instructions were very poor and the size of the print and visuals miniscule. How any company doesn't have the common sense to make this easier to read and follow is just unthinkable. Especially when you are working with miniature parts.
So after about an hour of E-Z building, the model was complete. No, not all the parts fit, three parts had no instruction and of course they didn't all snap together as advertised.
I called their customer service number but since it was Sunday I had to leave a message. I will wait to see if I hear back and what their answers will be and update my review at that point.
Admittedly, I was never a big fan of these types of toys. Had this been purchased at a DollarStore or Five Below this review would not have been written. However at $12.99 plus tax it is a total rip off. Made in China of course I would guess that the all in cost of this item including drop shipping to the USA is under $2.00 or less. Great margins for a real piece of plastic crap. Experiences such as this is why Toys R Us and other toy retailers have bitten the dust. This company can't be far behind. read more
