They had just opened and I walked in to peer at their selections. Horchata! Sold. And then Turron. Ice cream selected for 2.70. The Horchata featured chufa's distinct flavor quite well. The Turron had the ground almond taste that I'm accustomed to. I was pleased with both flavors, the density, and their lasting impression on my palate.

There are Spanish and English menus to order from. What I ordered: I got the curry chickpea wrap and the devolución juice. They were reasonably priced for what they were. The wrap came with mixed root chips. The wrap had a nice curry flavor, but it was light and not overwhelming. The juice was very beet-y, but tasted sweet as well. I will be back sometime to try one of their smoothie bowls!

Bubble Tea in Spain...achievement unlocked…read more After days of tapas, paella, wind and sangria, all I wanted was some bubble tea. Wowble delivered. I was impressed with the variety of drinks they offered. They have numerous drinks made with fresh fruit, fruit flavored boba and also other add-ins (nuts, jelly, cookies). They also have a hot drink menu, which is nice for the winter days. I ordered a coconut bubble tea which was delicious. The boba were a bit chewy, but the tea was very flavorful. There were small coconut grains within the tea, which was a pleasant surprise and added even more coconut flavor to the drink. My girlfriend's jasmine milk tea was likewise tasty, with strong jasmine flavor without being overly sweet.

It's a small stall walk up counter with no seating, which is pretty common in Madrid as I found during my travels. I asked for the most popular drink which I was told was the Mojito, and it comes with popping jellies. I opted for the more common tapioca pearls instead. The drink was OK, but now I wished I had gone for a creamy smoothie option instead. Fun to try, but probably would not order Mojito again.
