You might not realize how huge and dangerous some of these birds really are, but they average about 9 feet to 12 feet tall and from 250 to 350 pounds. And, they can be quite deadly. During the mating season, the males will instantly try to attack you if you get close. They've got about 6 to 10 different ostriches in separate fenced off areas. If you pay a few dollars for a tour, they will walk you down and show you the different ostriches they have, as well as provide some pretty interesting ostrich facts. Their feet are crazy as they are the only two toed bird on earth. Looking at them it is easy to see how they are related to dinosaurs because it looks just like a dinosaur foot. You can also buy ostrich eggs if they have them available, which are equal to about 24 to 36 eggs. The flavor and consistency is actually pretty good as well and very similar to chicken eggs. They also sell honey and a bunch of other things. Also, in certain times of year, you can go and see the baby ostrich chicks that they raise. If you're feeling adventurous, this is definitely worth a trip, especially if you have kids. This has become a fun stop we started making on our annual visit to the California Poppy Preserve in Antelope Valley. I would call ahead and see what's going on with tours and everything else. Five stars.

The location it self it's beautiful near mountains. They also have restrooms and playground for kids. They also have little shop they sell ostrich eggs which are huge and they even have home made honey. Amazing place would definitely be going back!!

The entry of the trail has a dent in the highway rail. It's white. I didn't snap a pic of it but check out the other reviews here. They helped me out a lot in finding the exact location. Hiked down the trail and came across a small trail going down the hill aside from the main trail. I didn't think it was anything so we kept walking. Don't do that, when you see that little trail going downhill, that's the way to the cave. There is so much brush and loose gravel so be very careful. Walk down that small trail and walk down to the left. When we visited there was a small stream of water. The cave is very visible from the stream and was hard to get to because of the water around it. But I'm sure during the other seasons it's not that much of an issue. We heard something moving around us, we thought it might be other people. Turns out it was a pack of coyotes who did not want us there. We made the mistake of taking our dogs. Those coyotes were hungry and gave no fucks. They were not scared of us and hunted us out of there. Be super careful and respectful. I've heard that the owners of the property and neighbors are not too fond of people going down there, so don't be surprised if you get someone telling you to leave. We didn't see anybody. Tips: Lots of poison oak, cover up! "Leaves of three, let it be" Sunscreen Water NO PETS Watch out for all wildlife Be discreet Enjoy!

There are some hiking trails about as well, but there is also a lot of private property, so before you go trips along any trails and make sure that allows public access.

When you think of a motel, you might automatically picture a rundown, sketchy type of…read moreestablishment....but honestly, Santa Clarita Motel completely surprised me in the best way possible! The property was very well maintained, conveniently located, and had plenty of easy parking. I stayed here for one night during the Boots in the Park festival on a busy Saturday night, and I was genuinely impressed that my room only cost about $125 considering the demand in the area. Definitely a great value! My room (Room 107) was surprisingly large, modern, and comfortable. It included a desk, dresser, walk-in closet style with ironing area, microwave, refrigerator, and a very spacious bathroom. I also appreciated being conveniently located near the laundry room and ice machine... One thing that really stood out was how quiet the property was -- especially for a Saturday night during a festival weekend. I was able to relax and sleep comfortably without noise issues! Hotel manager Nim and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout my stay, especially with helping me out last minute during checkout. Their hospitality really made the experience even better. Overall this place offers both value and convenience in a great Santa Clarita location. I would absolutely stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a clean comfortable, budget-friendly stay in the area!

They're going to take your money and then make you feel like a prick for asking where to park Fuck this place.
