The staff is friendly enough and the room is nice, but the outdoor patio and patio furniture were dirty and covered with bird poop and the view is non existent. Tried to move to an upper room but couldn't accommodate . Kind of surprised since they didn't seem busy. Also the pool, hot tub and rec room are closed for renovation, so again surprised they wouldn't try harder to get a better room.

Lobby, about to renovate
Ashley P.

A true three-star average, some aspects of this property are five stars and some are one or two. First off, the front desk service is spectacular. Every staff member I encountered had great customer service, and the manager brought donuts from the bakery across the street, which was a really nice touch. They don't offer breakfast, but they have hot chocolate, coffee, tea, and water in the lobby. The staff even gave our friend a ride to Walgreens to pick up some things. Worldmark has nice amenities, including a fitness center, outdoor gas grill, board games and movies, and fireplaces in the lobby and in each room. They are beginning renovations, so hopefully the bad stuff will all be moot points in the future. The rooms are extended-stay type, with a living room space and kitchenette. They have a small fridge, dishwasher, and microwave, but no stove/oven. They do have a full guest kitchen you can use, but it seems odd to offer pretty much everything to cook for yourselves except the oven. They had coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the room as well as popcorn, which was cute. We had a studio and our friends had a one-bedroom. You could easily sleep four in the one-bedroom as it has a Murphy bed in the living room and two full bathrooms. The studio only has a Murphy bed, and it wasn't great. It was squeaky and the mattress was lumpy. There was also no large overhead light but several canned lights you had to turn on for adequate lighting in the room. The bathroom was large with plenty of towels and toiletries, but the ceiling was very low; I'm 5'2", and I could touch it. A tall person wouldn't be comfortable in the shower. And our showerhead was pretty awful; it was an old Delta pull-out and it sprayed water every direction and was super high pressure. Also, the water wasn't very hot. There were also a few insects. We had two spiders and a few flies in the room during our four-night stay. Maybe the renovations were shaking things up, but it was a little gross. I will say for there being renovations, it was still pretty quiet. Good things: the staff, the location (walk to several galleries, shops, and restaurants), the ample space, the cozy lobby; bad things: the shower, bugs, and Murphy bed. A Murphy bed or pull-out couch is fine for the living room area, but all the rooms should have at least one real bed with a decent mattress.

The amazing great room from the second story balcony, Taos Worldmark Wyndham.

Checking in was super easy, the staff were really helpful with all of our questions. I have a bad sense of direction and every time I got lost there was someone there to walk me where I needed to go. My massage with Laya Watts was amazing, probably the best one I ever had. I felt so relaxed and rejuvenated. It was a wonderful experience. The food in the restaurant was very good but I wished there were smaller portions of some things. I got a salad and it was fantastic but I only ate about half of it and I really didn't want to go back into the pools on a full stomach. My only criticism was that the showers in the spa locker room were spotless in the morning but by mid day they really needed a cleaning. It's not the spa's fault that it was dirty but some people are just slobs. I would have been good if they had someone come in and clean at least once during the day.

Thank you all for making my birthday and our 20 anniversary so amazing! everything was very nice except the food and drinks not so much. first time I was there on Monday afternoon, I waited 25 min. at least before even being acknowledge or even said anything to me. the bartender girl looked like she was very overwhelmed! and i ordered a grilled artichoke which was great! and i didn't mind waiting but found out the cider i was charged 8.60 for a cider they don't carry. and the young man who came in after was complaining about the gal who just left and didn't set up anything for him. he was nice as but the next day i came in to order dinner so i got the 22 buck smash burger and when i got it back to my room. it wasn't smashed it was an anemic 2 patty, it doesn't say on the menu it had 2 patty's and it wasn't even good at all. so i came in and told the guy and all he did was apologize. i should have asked for the manager but i thought he would have offered me to credit me or replace it. but nope. then I asked him if I could have a cider and he said 7+ some change so i asked him how come the girl charged me 860 and the guys like she shouldn't because we no longer have that cider they are great at being consistent with inconsistency's like the food/prices. than my fiancée showed up the next evening then i took back to the wine bar and we ordered another artichoke and i think all employees at the restaurant/wine bar seemed overwhelmed. but after we waited for a little bit we got the artichoke and it was was raw and tough, so i sent that back and then my man ordered fajitas. He ordered the steak and shrimp, but we got the combo chicken steak and shrimp and there was absolutely no flavor at all. and the chicken/ steak were not cut properly, they looked hacked up. at the same time we were ordering a very tall guy walks in kind of red hair and I guess it was the owner son and the young guy that was taking his order kind of catered to him not us because we waited a while again, but it's all good. The tall young man was very polite though!! the guys are aware that Guy was very nice but come on because the owner Son comes in and ordered a bunch of stuff. so after that i asked for a second artichoke and it was even colder but what ever! not even cooked but how do you grill an artichoke and have it underdone?. so our third night we came in and order a pizza the meat lovers well meat lovers ha ha ha really seven pieces of bad pepperoni and maybe eight pieces of of horrible Italian sausage. And then they don't give you any or offer us any Parmesan cheese or red pepper so here's the good part I went and I spoke to Santiago who was a young guy willing to help me and he said I can get you a container full of Parmesan cheese and red pepper. I said thank you so much. and it was so refreshing to have someone provide me with outstanding customer service skills. so it doesn't take much to make a guest feel special. ! so i asked him can i speak to your manager? this guy walks out, not really even caring what I was saying, but I said Santiago's outstanding employee, you can in his eyes. He wants to make people happy. I told him he is the best employee you have so far. and he goes I'll put that in my report and i shared you need help with your staff and their guest service skills. he said yes i do and walks out while i was still speaking with him, he had no clue i was an on-boarding master trainer for huge companies in calif, anyway these people need big help here judt because if they want to continue to be a luxury resort then they should hire luxury people luxury as in people who love to show up for work and want to create an experience for everyone at Ojo Caliente restaurant and hopefully the new mgr gal will do her magic. but the guy manager did not seem to care or he was over it! Santiago. He's so young provided such a can-do attitude and had passion!. So I would give it a five star for Santiago, but the food in the inconsistency of pricing I was here and Sarah was an awesome incredible massage therapist so if you ever at Ojo Cali please check santiago has the natural gift for the service industry. anyway! please whoever looks at this review from Ojo caliente's restaurant. there was really no rude people just some people do not really care or not properly trained. that starts at the top. and maybe someone should come in and show them how to have fun again while providing 5star guest/customer service. anyway all in all i had a fantastic time here! massage was fantastic, rooms were beautiful bed was so cozy the bedding wow, you guys just need some retraining! or someone to come in and revamp your training and find their passion again!

From the friendly and welcoming hosts to the absolutely stunning landscape, this place is totally amazing. The Casita - We were lucky and got an upgrade to Upper Stream. What a gorgeous place. Warm wood floors, a full and well equipped kitchen, a nice gas fireplace, little touches around the place, all really made it feel incredibly cozy and welcoming. We ate out a few times but brought plenty of food to cook breakfast and lunch on site. Our stay lasted four days, so it felt almost like home! The Land - I am an urbanite, so this place was literally nirvana to me. We saw a hawk in action, and heard coyotes. We went on a nice walk, along the dry river bed and up into the hills. I was giddy with the the views and plant life bursting around me. Just be sure to bring a hat! It's bright/warm out there (we were there in early October). I fell in love with the pond! It was an oasis in the dry climate of New Mexico. We spent a lot of time sitting up there, taking in the view. My traveling companion went swimming, too! I can't say enough good things about Cliff River Springs. Those four days will stay with me for many, many moons to come.

This place is tucked away with a couple of other hotels and ski-focused businesses. Our room was nice and large, including the bathroom. You were able to see the mountains from our room window. Since it was near the end of the tourist season, there weren't very many people staying there. Additionally, they have a parking garage at the bottom of the building which requires a code to access. They also had a restaurant and bar that we didn't take advantage of since the bar is only opened seasonally. There was a rec room with TV, pool table, foosball table, and piano. My only problem with this hotel was there was no air conditioning. I understand that most of the time a/c is not required given the area but it would have been useful. Having the window open didn't fully cool down the room. There was a box fan in the room, but it was so loud, you wouldn't be able to sleep it with it on. I liked where this place was located as it was near some walking trails. Also the stray dog cantina is right across the street (you can see my review). I will definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to others.

We were worried that our kids would not like this type of vacation, as we are not "Horse People" and had never been to a Dude Ranch before. After the 2nd day at RTR all five of our kids told us we needed to sign up for the next year as they were having such a great time. We have now been to RTR five times and have already signed up for the summer of 2024. RTR is set in the beautiful San Juan Mountains right next to the Conejos River. The ranch backs up to the Rio Grand National Forest which provides endless opportunities for horseback riding or hiking in a gorgeous environment with no crowds. You can go the whole week without seeing anyone besides the RTR staff and guests. There is so much to do at RTR: Horseback riding, fly fishing, hiking, skeet shooting, archery, swimming, poker night, Western Dance Night, etc. What really makes this so special is the incredible staff. Everyone from the management team to the wranglers, fisherman, wait staff, maintenance staff - they are all wonderful people and have always provided an awesome environment for our family. And a week away from screens and devices makes RTR even better. The one drawback is the food is too awesome and it's easy to gain a pound or two as the meals are plentiful and delicious! The big surprise for our family after our first visit: We asked all 5 of our kids what was their favorite part of the week. They all said "Western Dance Night". They had the best time doing something they had never done before. We are not Horse People or Cowboys but one week out of the year we put on our western wear and we fit right in. It was crowded with day pass users. We decided not to rub shoulders so we hung out at the deeper sages pool, salt water pool, and eucalyptus steam room. Those were less crowded, however still not the relaxing spa experiences I had envisioned. It was more of a resort pool feel. There were people talking and laughing so loud. I mean, yay!! You're having fun, great! But this is supposed to be a spa, meditation, yoga, tranquility?? To Ojo's credit, one of the attendants actually did ask some guests to lower their voices. The changing rooms also felt dirty and need to be cleaned more often. Esp with the number of guests. Services: I did get a massage and it was nice and relaxing. The facilities themselves were very basic. The waiting room decor was bland and all they had was plain water and a kettle to make your own tea. The door to outside was kept open so there were all these big flies by the tea and diffuser. Lodging: we stayed in a double on the 2nd floor. There's no elevator. You can ask them to bring your luggage up if heavy. The room itself is basic and dated. The carpets and drapes especially need a refresh. There's tea and refillable water bottles you can use. No coffee. Dining: we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Blue Heron and the food was good. Dinner had the best service and food. The steak and trout were delicious and large portions. Breakfast was hit or miss and service was slow. The French toast was good, but my friend's eggs Benedict the eggs were not runny. The yolk was thoroughly cooked. Staff: everyone was very helpful and nice. Location: far from town, 15 mins to airport. Overall, it might be nice if this is your first spa experience.
