Counselor with Thriveworks had a session with my 13 year old. His first and last session, she was…read moreonline with him for about 8-13 minutes, my son comes downstairs and says that the session is over and that the counselor he saw that day was not going to see him anymore. I asked him why? He said that while he was talking to her she asked him what was going to be a good time to see her, he said Saturdays, she told him "I can't do Saturdays" told him that the session was over and that he was going to start seen a new counselor/therapist that works on Saturday. I called them immediately after and told them what happened. They apologized and said that she was not supposed to ask him about the schedule since he is a underage kid, I told them that I as the parent had already discussed the times he was going to be able to meet with her which were Friday's. Again they apologized and said that they would not charge for the session since the counselor prematurely ended the session at 13 minutes. After that call I never heard back from thrive-works, not even to help me find a new therapist/counselor. After almost a month I finally hear back from them via text saying I need to pay for the session, they are charging me $99 for the 13 minute session. I called them after I received the text and spoke to a different agent, she said that the meeting was not 13 minutes that it was 20 minutes, I asked for the zoom recording to confirm the length of the session. Stated that I need to email them a request to release medical records, but that they were still going to charge me regardless. Please Stay away from this company. Not very professional and they don't seem to care about their patients. Seems to me that Ms. Miracle my sons counselor/therapist who had the session with my son that day just wanted to get off the zoom meeting and get on with her Friday, she probably had somewhere to be. I wish I could give 0 stars. I can not comment on the counselors, as I am not even to that stage…read more First, I tried to setup membership and appointments for my two sons. This took over an hour on a call and we finally had two appointments set. Unfortunately, this was setup incorrectly, and I was not able to fill out forms for both because they needed multiple email addresses. Keep in mind, I am the parent and these are underage children. Second, after we got beyond the setup hurdle (which was another hour), it was 20 hours before the first appointment and still no link for the session. I call again, and they go through all the information and confirm I filled out consent forms and paid (oh yes, the payment went through with no issue - they have that down). After many standbys, I was told they needed the reach out and have the therapist send another link (no original link was sent - not in spam or anywhere else). I noted my son's appointment had disappears and the service person said she had to do it to get him back in the system, which made no sense, but it would be fine. Call ends. Third, I find that my son's appointment is still not reinstated, so I have to call again, only to be told it was canceled. At first they asked if I canceled, then they admitted it was an accident, which they could not easily correct. Many holds later, I am told I will get a call before the end of the day and they refuse to help me further. There were a couple other calls that went nowhere and after nearly 4hrs I am dissatisfied and my children have not been helped. Such a terrible experience.
