World famous fish N Chips? The owner must be pretty bold to put up a name like that :) I had the barramundi and chip. Not the best I had - not enough salt on the chips and the fish was really oily. The underside of the fish was soggy because the batter was soaking in oil. bleh. However, it is probably the better choice amongst the food options in Huskisson. We waited about 20 mins for our food on a winter weekend......so I cannot imagine what it would be like in the summer. read more

What's a beachy town without a token fish and chip shop ... and a world famous one at that? HA don't know how world famous it is, but what I can tell you is BEST CHIPS in all of Jervis Bay. Moey-ed on in on a Saturday arvo and this place was full to the bream .. couldn't believe we had the opperchtunaty to try Hussky's world famous fish - ok enough of that !! So they have a load of fish on display, ranging from whole marlins to salmon all the way through to the standard white flesh fillets of dory, barramundi, perch, ling, snapper and the ever tasty trout. In addition to fish, they have the standard prawns, calamari and squid. I couldn't go past the special of the day - grilled dory with chips for $12.50 and for $5 extra, a large container of salad. Make sure to tell the crew if you want dressing in the salad (they won't ask), or if you want sauce (get the chilli mayo for your chip dipping pleasure). Speaking of, if you don't go ahead and ask for chicken salt on your chips (cause yet again, they wont ask) - I'm sorry but are you on drugs? Look beyond the name of this restaurant - I know super cheesy but the fish here is fresh and straight from the bay and thereabouts. So I will recommend the salt and pepper prawns and a grilled Dory. The portions are massive but above all the owner is awesome! I overheard her talking about her past career in regional sales and radio and we got talking as she was serving, but she is always busy setting the tables and making sure they get cleaned timely as soon as the customers go. Not to mention her family she commands ready to do her bidding as and when. A well oiled machine and great fish to complement. Also this place is probably a cheaper option in comparison to the rest of the places to eat on the street. Didn't disapoint. read more

Such a bold bold name! Funnily enough the world famous part completely escaped my notice until the day after I ate there - I chose to eat there purely because what beach day is complete without fish and chips?! My companion and I had the seafood pack for 2. It really could feed 3 - 4 though! Especially if your fried food tolerance ain't high! You get 3 fish cocktails, 3 calamaris, 1 prawn and 1 seafood stick each plus a lotta chips. It was all crispy and tasty though the chips were slightly on the less crispy side. I'll be back if I'm in the area again (to complete my beach experience) but it's nothing to write home about! read more

Naming an establishment world famous, does not world famous make. Growing up in England perhaps spoiled my tastebuds for a quality fish and chip shop. Frozen chips removed from the Fryer whilst they're still anaemic leaves them hard in the middle. These chips were not cut on site! We had the Hoki and barramundi which were both ok albeit not cooked long enough. I hope I wake up tomorrow without food poisoning. I was a little disappointed with the twenty minute wait when they weren't very busy. Maybe changing their name from world famous to mediocre would be more of an accurate description. Waiting time was 45 minutes which is ridiculous. Food was okay but not sensational. Based on wait time would not return nor recommend to others. read more
