Here's my story. I needed an ECM for my Volvo. I contacted World and sent them my old ECM to be rebuilt along with a check for $350.00. After several weeks, I called to find out where my ECM was. For 6 weeks, every time I talked to them the answer was my ECM was shipping on Friday. Out of frustration I posted a comment online regarding the poor/lack of service. He called me and threatened me with legal action. I did get another ECM for my car, not from World who after a number of years still has my old ECM and my $350.00. In fact 2 years after he stole my ECM and money somebody else who he fucked wrote a comment similar to my complaint, so he wrote to me and threatened me with legal action again! If you need an ECM and can't find one anywhere else, you'd be best advised to buy another car than to be ripped off by this unscrupulous thief. read more

This guy is a scam artist. I suggest you look at other businesses before sending this guy one penny. Take a look at his reviews on Yelp and online. They are horrible!!! He has been accused of doing the same thing over and over again. I count almost 90 bad reviews online. Now after he made promises to return my money. He does not return phone calls or emails. He originally asked for $650 dollars then he phoned me about a month later and suggested I needed a rebuilt ECM. He wanted to charge an additional $2200. I declined his outrageous price and had him return my ECM. I was able to fix the ECM for a total of $1000 from a reputable ECM business out of Texas. Thomas said my money was going to be returned shortly after I received my ECM back. Of course, the guy has stiffed me like it seems he has done the other Yelpers. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! **** AVOID THIS COMPANY AND ITS OWNER!!!!**** I Contacted WorldECM.com, operated by one Thomas Thompson in early FEB of 2016 of Summerville Ga. to repair an engine control module. On Feb 9th, I sent the part to the 84 Dandelion address along with payment via money order. I was promised a 3 day turn around, which did not happen. He claimed that my part was defective and suitable replacement would be needed. I promptly sent the additional money as he indicated he had located a suitable replacement and would obtain it as soon as the money was received. Since, I have repeatedly requested a time frame for this service, all I get is one excuse after another. To date I have received nothing, despite almost daily requests to return my part and my money. After a call to the County seat, he may not have business license. On the surface it appears their really is nothing legitimate about this man/ business. DO NOT TRUST HIM WHATSOEVER!. No matter what he says its all just smoke and mirrors. He has now stated that I will not get my cash or part back until I scrub the web of any complaints.(paraphrased) If I did, I would have to wait 30 or more days for a partial refund. He does not accept credit cards ( that should tell you something! ), which is a mistake, as you have no recourse save a lawsuit. My opinion is that he scams people out of money and relies on the fact that because he lives in Georgia folks just give up trying to get a satisfactory results. I took my vehicle to the repair shop the end of Feb. 2017 to have the ECM replaced. A couple days later the repair shop said they found a place in Georgia that could rebuild my ECM and have it flashed or programed and returned in a few days all while saving me a lot of $. WHAT A MISTAKE ! ---- READ ALL THE REVIEWS ON THIS COMPANY posted elsewhere. After confronting the repair shop in regards to the whereabouts of my ECM I was told they had sent it to World ECM. I was told that it was going to cost an additional $319. to have my ecm replaced.. Finally on March 20th 2017 I contacted World ECM asking why my ECM had not been returned as requested prior to and was told by Thomas Thompson that I didn't understand,,,,,, Yes I do Mr. Thompson, -- You are not a man of your word and a very bad business experience !!! read more

Thomas Thompson is not recommended! The service consists of good ol boy talk until you are shipped a defective part. This business person then accuses you of fault for the broken part, keeps your money and will not respond. I complained and this business owner has researched me, my property, my employment and even said he will have 'Bikers" come to my home. What business person acts like that? Buyer beware. read more

Told me I would have my part in a week. Keeps telling me no latter than Wednesday, then Friday, then check with me next week. Then he goes into the part is hard to find and he'll send it when it comes in. This guy has lots of scam reports on google. Wish I would have googled before hand. He is very good at calling and e-mail but stringing you along until you pass the 45 days to dispute at PayPal. Don't let him string you along past 45 days if you are dumb like me and order from him in the first place. I called and said I wanted a refund as he still didn't have my unit and he would send it when he got it. He said if I wanted a refund he would withhold a $149 diagnostic fee. Why would you charge a diagnostic fee when we already knew it was bad. Stay away from this guy, he understands how to manipulate you to just keep you thinking the nightmare will be over in a "couple more days" and he promises to take care of you. Any respectivle business doesn't refuse a refund when they have repeatedly never followed through on their promises. read more

He sold me a bad part, wouldn't honor the "lifetime warranty" and has numerous bad reports on ripoffreport.com I posted a complete review there along with several other people. DO NOT DEAL WITH HIM!! you will be sorry. He'll start out sounding nice, and when things go sour he'll ignore your calls and emails and when he does talk to you he'll insult you and treat you like crap. BEWARE!! Minus 0 Stars!!! This guy is a crook. He took me for 500$, it took 4 months to get a junk PCM, another 3 months to try and get my money back and the "REFUND FORM" that never made it. This guy is just a pack of lies on top of lies. Reported him "TOM", to the Better Business Bureau and am waiting for the results. I have never came across a guy that just keeps telling lies. Worst service ever,i've been waiting for my original ECM and partial refund but till this date have not received anything.DON'T do bUSINESS with this lair & crook it's been almost a year and still no resolution from this Con man who laughs at you when you call & acts like he's so busy he don't know who you are and does not remember what you want when you call.He still has my original ECM he is holding hostage even after i signed,had notarized & returned his confidentiality letter not to say anything negative about his bad service back in December i still have nothing from Tom the crook.Don't use this guy if you need your equipment in a timely manner,Horrible bUSINESS & yes i used a small b because i don't consider this a business,just a ripoff. read more
