On top of that, the gym offers fun challenges at various times during the year that help keep us motivated and on track, as well as occasional fundraising events that bring everyone together for a great cause. When I came to the Hampton Roads area 6 months ago, I needed to find a gym to call home. I wanted…read moreto stay away from the 'big box' gyms because I didn't want to get lost in the shuffle. Just when I thought my search was futile, I came across Body B D Gym. When I sat down and told Peter my goals, he listened and put me on a workout program to reach those goals. His patience, willingness to "re-teach" bad habits, encouragement, and sound advice (after much of my whining) was a definitely a push in the right direction. He helped me get to the point where I even competed in my first bodybuilding competition. A glutton for *ahem* punishment, I am looking to him again to compete in my next competition. Pete's style of training and Sherry's Saturday Morning Bootcamp are the tickets to push me that much further. D'shawn, Peter, and the rest of the crew are amazing and very supportive and very happy I have found a new place to call home. They are not just a gym but a movement!

Are you looking for real progress and long term consistency? Sometimes the difference between just…read morefollowing a workout plan and actually succeeding with one comes down to your trainer's ability to help create real mind-muscle connection through understandable cues and explanations, not just demonstration. This nuance helps you truly connect with an exercise and understand why you're doing it in the first place. I had the opportunity to train with Coach Jackson today and his verbal cues and constant engagement made a major difference in the quality of my workout. He brings a supportive, high-energy approach that keeps you pushing while making sure every movement is intentional and effective. Just as importantly, he clearly practices what he teaches. His physique reflects the same discipline, knowledge, and execution he brings to his clients. It's hard to deny when the results are standing right in front of you. I've been a member of this gym for many years and Coach Jackson is by far the most approachable, knowledgeable, and accessible on staff trainer available to us as members of AF.

I have been working with Brian for the past few years. I…read moreoriginally started out with extreme pain from my neck all the way down to my lower back. I could not stand I could not sit everything hurt all the time. I tried acupuncture, deep tissue massage, fascia, relief, chiropractor, and EMS therapy, and even the massage gun. Nothing helped with the pain. During my fascia release appointment, she told me about Brian and the work that he does. I was very skeptical but I was in so much need of help that I decided and went for my one hour consultation. I ended up telling him I needed a few more months to think about it. however, one month later I messaged him and asked how soon I could get an appointment with him and sign up for a 12 week session. Within a week he had an appointment open for me. From that moment, I had a one hour session with him once a week for 12 weeka. during that time I did stop going to the gym to do weightlifting and instead I focused on natural movements such as running. After my 12 week session, (five months later, I ran my first marathon) a year after that I ran my first ultra (31 miles.) and just last year I did my first bodybuilding bikini competition. That 12 week session truly changed my entire life. I am pain-free and I still continue to do a lot of the movements that I originally did during that 12 weeks session and I feel great. A few months ago, I went back basically for a follow up session since I hadn't been there for a long time. We added a couple new routines to help with my internal hip rotation. So far, I have nothing but positive reviews. I have never felt better in my entire life and I'm 41 years old. The pain that I was going through was on and off throughout my entire 30s. Seriously, if you ever feel like there's no hope that your body is in so much pain and you don't know what else to do, reach out to Brian because in 12 weeks I tell you your life will change and you will never look back. The only thing you're gonna be thinking is I wish I would've done this sooner.. Brian and Liz are both amazing at what they do.
