Last year one of the level four beds, half of th face bulbs did not work. This year in one of extreme beds, the fans would not come on. When I told the girl at the counter, she said "oh yeah, those haven't worked in forever". Once inside it is nicer than expected. I was greeted right away by the front desk gal who very welcoming. I explained to her my needs and what I wasn't sure I needed haha. The prices at this place are much more competitive than the other spots I visited prior to Elite tan. I actually left a tanning spot that day due to its overpriced packages. I decided on a 5 sessions "Gold package" + a bronzer that was recommended by the front desk gal at a 2 for $12 deal + a little pickup me beverage total $80.00. Not too shabby!! I entered the tanning bed it was clean for sure a bit outdated, but clean. They also offered in the room a clean hand towel, sanitized goggles and a pre packaged sweet treat. The bulbs felt like they were just changed and 9 minutes in the stand up bed did it for me. I am used to tanning my skin does very well and tans easily. Unfortunately, there was no music that I could figure out how to use so I turned up my pandora and listened to my music that way. Overall I recommend this place Cleanliness - 5 Friendliness- 5 Knowledge of products- 5 Price - 5 I am glad I chose this place over an overpriced spot. The only issue I had was I was not offered to be shown how to use the tanning bed and although I have years of experience in had to kind of figure this bed out and I still don't know if it's possible to play music in there.

Then, on November 1st, I was charged for a full month's membership. When I went back today, the doors were locked with a master lock and the building was completely empty. There was a sign on the door saying they were moving to another city and that I could visit another McDonough location, which is over 45 minutes away from my home and the now closed location was less than 10 minutes. They had to know they were not renewing their lease when I signed up 2 weeks ago.

I called the facility the very next day and asked if I could either get a refund or a trade in for spray tan instead of beds the girl at the front desk was very nice and called the manager and then called me back and said no they cannot and there was no explanation as to why. I then since I only went once if I could give the rest of my sessions to a and once again, the front desk called the manager, and she said no, and gave no other explanation all of this the girl desk said the she would call me. It's been three days and she hasn't called me once I've worked at a tanning salon before and I know how these packages work. It could've been totally doable to transfer my services to another girl, but instead management ignored me and just said no with no reason as to why. again, this place is nice and the staff very nice and friendly, but poor management.

Three or Four times while working at Designer Tan my check was 2-3 days late. When I called the female owner , I was ignored. The male owner began to bring the checks after that;But there is no guarantee what time of the day you will be paid or if he can even make it that day. You also DO NOT receive a pay stub even when you request one!! The female owner degrades and curses out employees for things out of their control. Such as Tanning beds messing up, Computer or Wifi issues, etc. There is no promotion system by any means. I was told upon hire that I would get a raise within 3 months. After 3 months , I was then informed that a promotion happens after a year. For $8.00. You will most definitely do things NOT in your job description. The worst part of all is the owners and manager who treat you and speak to you with no regard to your emotions.
