Windjammer park is one of the most beautiful and accessible parks in the area. To start things off,…read morethere are a couple beaches scattered throughout the peninsula along with some docks too. There is a pavilion with benches too which can make for some scenic picnics. In the summer, the park can get pretty busy but nothing unbearable as there is plenty of space. Make sure to be careful with parking as you need a Tega Cay parking pass and sometimes police will make rounds. The main attraction of the park is the sunset during the summer. Towards the back of the park, there are plenty of benches and swings that overlook most of Lake Wylies. As the sun sets, there is a perfect angle that makes for an amazing view. All in all, this park is worth a visit and makes for a fun, cheap outing.

One of Tega Cay's oldest parks, it sits at the end of one of the longest peninsulas of the town. The park features playground and picnic sites that are directly on the lake as well as covered picnic shelters, restrooms and a beautiful scenic overlook. Friday nights are when the Carolina Show Ski Team puts on their free waterski shows. Note that parking is by permit only and the permits are not free. There's also no walking here from anywhere other than very nearby as no public transport visits this deep into Tega Cay. [Review 13069 overall, 386 of 2020.]

Rock Hill's flagship park, Cherry Park is free to access and open from 7am to 11pm (summer hours)…read moreand 7am to 9pm (winter hours). The park is a large 68 acres and is chock full of scenic trails, playgrounds and all sorts of other stuff for outdoors. Five lighted baseball fields, all with skinned infields and fencing. Enclosed dugouts, electronic scoreboards and seating for 500 people at each field. Yes, there is enough parking. The walking trails run about 1.5 miles. There are some permanent structures with bathrooms and concessions. The first aid room is open during tournaments. Other mulit-purpose fields for soccer, football and even concerts or large festivals. Truly a stunning park and Rock Hill has done well. [Review 13034 overall, 351 of 2020.]

Stopped by for the Perfect Game tournament. It's a cute little park with ample parking spots…read more There's a statue in the center of the drop off area which is a nice touch. Tournament was delayed by two hours due to rain. When we arrived the fields looked great and there was ample space to set up your own seating. A few trips were made to the bathroom by my group and no complaints. At one point, one person when to the concession stand to see what was on the menu as we were starting to get hungry. Come to find out that even though teams were still playing, the concession stand had closed. Most places would make an adjustment to their schedule for delayed tournaments to ensure they stayed open during the last games. This may be an external group that runs them, and I get it, it's just tough to corral hungry children and convince them they'll be fine for awhile longer.
