Luckily the wedding venue manager had a list of vendors and Rich Smith Photography was one of them. I reached out and instantly hit it off with Rich. He thoroughly explained the process, was very attentive to detail, responded quickly to all my emails, and just made me super comfortable that he would be perfect for the job. I went on his website to learn more and see samples of his work and was thoroughly impressed with not only how he captured beautiful naturally occurring moments in his photography but also how open he was about his background and his family which made me realize he was a good person. We took a trip to Tennessee to view the wedding venue and meet all the vendors and as part of the photography package, Rich offered us an engagement photo session for free. He was accommodating to work that in to the short time we were visiting. This was really helpful in getting to understand his style, and for just learning in general how to have pictures taken of us (which in my opinion is the hardest part). We got more comfortable as time went on and Rich made suggestions and creatively interpreted our ideas. If we were uncomfortable trying something, he didn't push us at all. It had to be tough for him because I hate having photos taken of me but he was so patient. The value you get for your money is just incredible. We added on a photo booth package that will allow our guests to take fun and goofy pictures at the wedding that they get to download after the event. It's not your typical photo booth, it will be an actual photographer that can help give direction in lieu of a machine you work yourself. From the samples Rich sent, guests love participating and look like they have a blast doing so! So far, the pictures from our engagement photo shoot were awesome. He had our photos ready right on time as he promised. Communication was great too: he put our photos online right away and explained the process for downloading them for print and to use for our save the dates. We're so happy with how they turned out. We cannot wait for our wedding day to work with Rich again. I highly recommend having Rich document your special occasions. You will not be disappointed!

Casey is well connected within the wedding industry in Chattanooga and did a great job of lining up vendor options. We met to talk about what I wanted and then she made her recommendations of vendors and had me meet with several to decide. She set up the meetings and attended them with me to make sure to ask all the questions that I literally had no idea to ask. She helped create the day-of schedule and coordinated with all of the vendors on specifics. On the day of the wedding, everything went off perfectly (or if something didn't, it was handled and I didn't know about it- Awesome). Casey had one of her teammates, Hannah, stay with the bridesmaids all day and she helped steam bridesmaids dresses and kept us on schedule for the first look and pictures. At the reception, Casey and her team made sure we ate and adapted the timeline to the flow of the party, as needed.
