Over the years, when flying back home I've always got myself inked and boy I am so stoked and happy to chance upon the Workaholinkz crew. Can't say enough words to express how much I appreciate their service. Spoke to previous artists about the concept I had in mind but all fell through. So I made a search of a shop that 1) near my place of residence 2) have experience working with oriental tattoos 3) have good reviews. Luckily I was able to find Workaholinkz. So did an inital follow via Instagram and of course rabbit hiole myself to the various works of the artists and their main guy (s/o Ricson). I was pretty impressed with their projects so I slid a DM for an inquiry. A few moments later, Angel (another s/o) responded snd we chatted about my current ink and explained my idea. She was very accommodating and professional. Took the time to understand my style and concepts. Also noted down my schedule and did the follow ups too. Aside from those, one of the best things she did for me was hook me up with their awesome artists - Ronnie and Mike. I'm so glad I was introduced to them and got to work on my project. There's alot of great things to say about them too! First their punctuality and professionalism! We scheduled an initial personal consult to discuss my idea and they were on the ball when it came to the meeting. They were receptive, critical and provided great positive views. They also tool the time to hear my story and put the story into pictures and identify as to how they would be able to execute it. They definitely had the vision! After we worked out and finalized the idea, Angel an the boys did their thing (comms, follow-up, sketches,), we were able to set dates when to do the project. The shop is clean and well looked after (big shoutout Ken). The vibe is so chill and relaxing. It is exquisite in that apart from the usual tattoo paraphernalia and stuff, the shop had different works of art action figures, masks, books that added to the character of the place. The music selection was awesome too! I had 2 sessions done and it was all good and worry free. Mike and Ronnie tool turns to do the project. I really have to say that it feels as though they have a hive mind wherein they can easily pickup on ideas and if you are able to work with them, you can see that they can easily keep up with each other's task and ideas. Them guys are so chill, funny and experienced it was really a vibe working with them. I told my stories and they told theirs and I learned about the culture and business too which I should say another plus! Anytime you get to learn from someone or some people, you know it's a good thing. I guess with the length of this review, you can definitely see my satisfaction, appreciation and approval of Workaholinkz. If you are reading this review - best look them up in your socials. If you're thinking about getting yourself inked, get in touch with them and put that initial consult through. I promise you you'll be loolked after. I messaged over yelp and I got immediate assistance from Angel. She was able to note down all the information I provided and then handed me off to Ricson over messenger. The whole process took place a week before I came to the Philippines so if you're overseas, they are really accommodating! Once the date got closer, Ricson showed me my design and then we talked over the process. He was very communicative and it's helpful I was able to pay through PayPal! Which helped with converting currency and providing a down payment. I got to the area of the shop through Grab so it wasn't hard to find. Once I got there, Ricson even helped accommodate me by getting me some food because it was my first time getting tattooed. They made me feel like I was at home and I didn't want to leave haha. The process took about 4 hours I think, quicker than I thought. He made sure I was comfortable and we had a couple of breaks. The whole team are fun to converse with which made the process nice and they made sure the tattoo was clean and that in the end of it I was able to get to my grab safely. I hope to go here again for my next tattoo. Ricson did an amazing job! I wish I took better pics but maybe I'll go back and edit in more pics once the tattoo is healed. :) read more

Ricson Bueta is truly an amazing tattoo artist and in my honest humble opinion, the best in his field of work. My wife and I found his shop through yelp and we started the initial communication regarding what we wanted done, our requested day for both of our session, and other pertinent details. He was very responsive and accommodating which was extremely important for us especially given that we were still here in the US during this entire initial communication and we were not scheduled to arrive in the Philippines until weeks later. Ricson was able to accommodate us on our requested date and time. Upon landing in NAIA, we immediately headed to his shop. I informed him right away of this once I got a Philippines SIM card installed on my phone. Much like our previous communication, he was again very responsive. I even informed him that we were going to be late because of the ridiculous Manila traffic and he understood. Our initial meeting was one that I will never forget. Ricson's shop is nestled right in the heart of Anonas and Aurora Blvd in Project 3 to which my mom reminded me that my early childhood years until I was about 7 yrs old was relatively close by in Project 4. The shop itself was very welcoming and tidy which is another big plus to us. Ricson was engaging in a tattoo session when we arrived but still took the time to acknowledge my wife and I and went over the details of our tattoo. He actually suggested a few key meticulous details on my full right leg wrap tattoo which at the end, made a significant difference. See, here is another example of an exceptional tattoo artist where even taking a quick glance at his canvas and suggest a few details that makes a remarkable difference at the end. Ricson Bueta did exactly just that. The rest of his staff were equally just as nice and accommodating. They really made you feel comfortable and at ease. First session was my wife. It was a tattoo on her upper left arm which was her bouquet of flowers on our wedding. He provided 3 different stencils, to which all were excellent, and had my wife select the one she liked best. End result was absolutely AMAZING !!! We knew beforehand that Ricson was extremely talented but the final masterpiece even exceeded our expectation. It was absolutely perfect. Not to mention, he voluntarily came in an hour earlier than his scheduled shop is to open just to make sure my wife's session is done in a timely manner given our plans that evening and how important it was that we do not miss it. This allowed us plenty of time to go about our plans as scheduled even with the unbearable Friday rush hour traffic in Manila. Customer service at its BEST !!! My session came the next day after my wife. I arrived there a bit early to secure parking as it was very limited. Toochie, his apprentice, was the first one there. I managed to engage in a conversation with him as he was cleaning up the shop and preparing for my session. I learned that the awe inspiring paintings in the shop was also all done by Ricson. Each one was truly a masterpiece just like all of Ricson's tattoo. We got started as soon as he arrived. He knew exactly of the kind of concept I was looking for and I trusted him implicitly and allowed him to do the design entirely. My polynesian tribal design he masterfully freehanded (YES FREEHANDED) was epic just based on the details he mentioned as he was free handing it on my right leg. My session was just a few minutes shy of 12 hrs, yes 12 straight hours. We started at 2 pm and ended at 1:48 am when I looked at my watch. We engaged in some conversation throughout the entire session that made me realize even further that my wife and I definitely found our one and only tattoo artist. My masterpiece was beyond epic. The line work was perfectly on point, mind you this was all freehand. The overall end result was even better than what I anticipated and I was just left speechless. One important key factor that I wanted to point out here, which was a major factor on how I was able to endure the straight 12 he session, is ma gaan ang kamay ni Ricson. As in sobrang gaan. I was at ease the whole time. The only part that really tested my pain tolerance was towards the end which was the geometrical hexagon design but given the part of leg this was, I knew it was gonna sting. I couldn't be happier on the end result. Just like my wife's, it was absolutely perfect !!! Thank you very much again Ricson and the whole Workaholinkz staff. My wife and I's masterpiece was truly the icing on the cake on our short trip there in the Philippines. We'll see you again in 2 yrs. read more

Coming from the states, this was my first time getting a tattoo. I was a little hesitant at first, but Ricson gave us excellent service.
