This was the final stop when exploring Philly with my friends, and I have to confess that was amazing. The vibe, the different types of music and the people makes you have a unique experience at Woody's. Can't wait to come back to Philadelphia and have another fun night in here!

This place is so fun! Woody's always brings the unpretentious party. Better yet is that the street it's located on is closed to vehicle traffic so the party just pours outside. I was recently here for Halloween and I wouldn't have wanted to spend it anywhere else lol. The best thing about any bar in my opinion is the people. It's just cool here. Woodys does have an upstairs and I believe they charge a $10 cover. They're also connected to Globar, which I've never been to. As of recent I believe they've removed most of the bar seating - perhaps due to covid. Once you leave you find yourself in a good neighborhood. The PATCO station is nearby if you plan on heading to Jersey. Across the street from Woody's is a pizza shop. And just a few stores down from Woody's is some of the best fried chicken in the city: Wishbone.

First off the drinks I think we're way overpriced the last time I've been there . 15 dollars for a vodka coke ( even with their cheapest vodka ) and it wasn't even that strong. They also seem to have got rid of their food menu which was very disappointing. The dancefloor cover for the upstairs portion was unavoidable and was 20 dollars . I did have fun , tho the floor was sticky and was not clean. I understand it's a club and drinks can spill , but this was right when the floor opened. Crowd was great and sociable . Bouncer was also awesome and let me in without a problem . I guess I'm coming here only for special occasions or when I have the money.

Look the fact is Woody's is a good time. The gays have done it again, no surprise there. There are four different areas to the club, and all of them have a different vibe. Downstairs there is the main bar area, which looks like where the bar fight scene took place in the Sonic the Hedgehog film (Great movie by the way. You don't need to know a lot of Sonic lore to get into it, but obviously that would help a lot). Good place to talk to the gays and drink while listening to music. Next to that is a well lit dance room that feels very swank and happening; Rouge the Bat would definitely be most comfortable here. Upstairs is where the real magic happens imho. There's two more bars with dance floors. The main one is large and has a wall of flashing multi-colored lights. It gives off the same vibe as Casino Park in the original Sonic the Hedgehog game. It's fun but there are a lot of sweaty gays there because it's very hot. That's why my favorite area is the other upstairs bar, which seems to be where the entirety of the world's air conditioning is focused. Seems like a scheme that Dr. Robotnik would cook up. Loses a star because apparently people get drugged here a bunch.

$24 pre-tip for a vodka redbull. This isn't a luxe cocktail lounge in Paris - what gives with these prices? Hard pass and a never again.

Awful experience. For a gay bar it's not very welcoming or accepting when you're transgender I suppose.

I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.

I got the mozzarella sticks were bomb with the sauce and I got the creamy Mac and cheese. I was excited for the Mac and cheese because I had one last night that was amazing from somewhere else. I got back to my hotel my second but I found a hair. Like a fatty I threw it to the side and kept eating it anyways. Unlike a true fatty, I didn't finish it. So unholy for a Mac and cheese lover like myself... but it was too acidic for me. I couldn't keep eating it. So I'm basing this review solely on the food. The service seemed ok? This way it was easy for our group to talk. I saw someone else drinking a drink that looked really good so I just ordered that without looking at the menu.
