I was starving and opened it up and there was a hair in there. I walked back in and showed them and all they did was make another sandwich (which I did not eat). One very fake "sorry" and future discount or free sandwich. All the younger adults in that line up have lots of hair and they should be wearing some sort of hair net-not just a visor that literally does nothing which is obvious by my hair in my sandwich. Things happen and I get it but make it right and also they need to improve in proper rules for restaurants.

What an awesome hidden gem! So many times as we have driven…read moreby and never stopped, but that will be a thing of the past! We stopped in for breakfast (served Saturdays & Sundays) and had an amazing meal. I had the traditional English breakfast with Bangers, Bacon, baked beans, mushrooms and eggs that I couldn't finish. Hubby had their corned beef bowl with homemade corned beef and an amazing chimi churry on top. We also discovered that they have Guinness on tap with nitrogen! The only other place in town that we know has it on tap, doesn't have it on nitrogen, so you won't be getting that traditional settling a nice pint of Guinness. We will certainly be coming back!

4.5/5 stars I had this bookmarked in Yelp to try and today…read morewas the day! I drove down Douglas looking for it but no luck so I called. It is in the courthouse on the second floor! I found parking right in front that I took for a sign the food would be good. After you enter the front doors, you go straight ahead down the hall and down one flight of stairs to get to the Hideout Cafe. It's named right! Luckily, there was someone who directly us there. We ordered a French dip with a cup of soup and a patty melt with fries. The French dip was good-though, different from what I think of as a French dip. Think of it as a sandwich you dip in au jus and you'll enjoy it. The soup of the day was tortilla and it was delicious!! The patty melt was the winner of the day. Maybe they serve healthier food because it's in the courthouse because the patty melt was excellent and wasn't greasy like most are! Service was amazingly nice & cool. She even brought out food out to the table. Ambiance is lacking because it's in a big room with tables around and lacks warmth. That brought it down a bit but the food makes up for it. I would definitely go here again if I was nearby.
