We have been staying at Lost Lodge for over 7 years and these cabins are definitely my and my friend's favorite place to stay at Lake Cumberland. It isn't far from my boat at Conley Bottom and the cabins can't be beaten (especially for the great price)!

The woman who owns the place was extremely rude when she saw my service dog and complained that there would hair on stuff. We were also told we had to keep the AC on low. What really burned me up was her mention of her "Mexican speaking cleaning lady who doesn't speak English or clean well". Now if that wasn't bad enough, this woman tried to charge a security deposit for a trained service dog, which is illegal. When I mentioned that ADA laws forbid charging a security deposit, she got nasty. I can show the text messages if needed. We were then asked to vacate the cabin. We got back to the cabin after cutting our day short, she had turned off the AC in our cabin! She claimed that we had to leave due to a sewer issue in another cabin, but I spoke with the occupants and they let me know that she was full of crap and there was no issue with the sewer system. Now, if you looked at their website, you would think that this was a resort-like setting with a river and boating on-site. The reality, it's a trailer park setting with cabins and there is nothing on the premises except a tiny little plastic "pond" and a mound of ashes out back that they call a fire pit. Save your money and stay somewhere else. Do not support someone who discriminates against the disabled.

Because I was in the middle of moving from Kentucky to Colorado I was needing an emergency place to stay, I luckily found this wonderful motel, and I am forever grateful and very much appreciate everything they offered. As this is a family owned operated I understand why you cannot make reservations online. My boyfriend booked during a tournament at a very reasonable nightly rate for 8 nights. During his drive he had car troubles and was not able to make his check in on time. After a call to the hotel they were will to work with us to remove the first night at no charge which definitely is not something a normal chain hotel would accommodate. During my boyfriends stay he had nothing but nice things to say. The staff were friendly, always going above and beyond, and the coffee, selection of donuts, muffins, and variety of bars were always available in the morning. The room was clean, the room was big with lots of space with a walk in closet which was nice, and the beds were comfy. I was so impressed after flying in and meeting the staff and seeing just how awesome this hotel was I couldn't help but leaving them a personal note at check out for being so great and really making it a home away from home. Hope to see you during our next fishing tournament. Heather & Dustin

I found this place months ago and my initial plans in February fell through, so on July 3rd as I planned a work related adventure in the area, I remembered this place. I called pretty much at the last minute and was welcomed by Michelle. She isn't actually onsite but met us a few miles away (not because we were lost or anything). I will admit, I'm extremely picky when it comes to hotels and resorts, so I was worried and didn't want to commit before checking it out. Michelle was extremely gracious and showed us around the entire house. It passed the test and I chose the "Lakeside" room. The room had it's own bathroom, and was immaculate. It was the only room in the inn with a private patio. When we first arrived it was loud because it overlooks the lake and it was a busy weekend. The view... why do we travel out of state when we have so much beauty within Kentucky?! The bad news: it's on the market for sale... If you have $775,000 and decide to buy this place, hit me up because I'd love to stay here again. The owner, Mr. Noble was a bit unwelcoming at first, as Michelle was showing us around. I guess that's what he pays her for anyway. As he sat in the living room, watching The History Channel on the community tv, my talkative husband got him to open up and he explained that this was Mrs. Noble's dream and she passed away five years ago. They built the 8,000 square ft home ten years ago. Breakfast was prepared by Michelle and we ate in a community setting, there was only one other couple and Mr. Noble. I don't mind the shared seating because I cruise a lot and that's the norm on a cruise. But if you don't like that, a B&B probably isn't for you. I don't think that I would've enjoyed it as much if the house were full to capacity. Check out was at 11:00 and they were expecting a full house in the 4th. The price was a bit steep, over double the rate that I was quoted in February. I think that if they were to lower the rate on non holidays and weekdays, I bet they would get more visitors. All in all, it's a great getaway with an awesome view.
