I like the flasher system whereby they know you're a first time visitor so you can park closer. Aside from that however they really need to work on their first time visitor game. The congregation was in Holy Huddle mode and we were the visiting team. I definitely did not feel welcomed here at all. By way of example most other churches will actually walk you to the kids program so you don't get lost and also so they can have someone at the drop off point kinda help your child get acclimated. Here they just tell you which way to go. And of course we got lost. When we eventually got to the kids building we told the adult at the front my kid was a first time visitor and they just said she was in the right place. And that's it. Not even a smile. No hi welcome. I seriously thought about just leaving at that point but I figure since we drove all the way here we'd give them a try. As I left the kid building, the kiddo was just sitting there by herself. And When I picked her up I saw the girls small group she was in had formed a circle of seats with the teacher, but my kid's chair was the only one outside the circle. I asked her what happened and she said they didn't make room for her. It's one thing if you do that kind of stuff to an adult. Another if you do it to a kid. Based on this experience alone I would not entrust my kid to this place again. While I did like the senior pastor's sermon, this church is a hard pass for us. I actually heard someone from this church at my workplace say they're not looking to grow the membership as they got more than they can handle. I actually couldn't believe they said that at first. But now I witnessed this attitude myself at the church. The Frozen Chosen. At the sermon today they said they're big on missions. A bit ironic actually because back at the home church it's like the Great Omission. They should work on their home game first. Get back to the basics and get their house in order before focusing energy on sending folks out of their flock to the rest of the world to do missions. After visiting this church it makes me not want to look anymore. Or at least take a break from looking. I can see why non-Christians would be turned off from Christianity with experiences like we had here. Maybe I'll try again someday. After the bad after taste from this place has dissipated. But that may be a while. read more

A great spirit filled church with lots of family and other activities for people of all ages. Their mission and community outreach focus is very strong. And I like that the pastor preaches from the Bible. It's conveniently located near Creekside in the Woodlands area. read more

Pastor Jeff is a man of humility and prayer. He leads the congregation by example and does so with love. I have been in many different denominational churches and a few non-denominational and I have never encountered a pastor with such a heart for the Lord and the people he shepherds. As someone else said, "He's the real deal." Wednesday nights are the best service of the week! They offer a wonderful kids ministry, as well as ministries to teens, young adults, marriage, recovery, men' and women's ministry. There is a place for you! This is a warm and welcoming church with a lot going on both inside and outside the walls. God is clearly at work here.

Have been apart of this church for a little over 12 years now. Jeff is the real deal & leads with humility, love & truth. No church is perfect or community of believers & we have definitely had our struggles. But what matters most is how it's handled , & grace, reconciliation, healthy spirituality, love and admitting fault are keys to a healthy and holy church environment. You gotta be able to always be open to grow and learn and that's what I love about Woodsedge is we are never close minded to be better. Last to add the most important factor is the emphasis on the importance of prayer which no Christian can live without. read more

A strong outreach church that has many programs for any families in need. However, throughout the virus they claim that collections remained unaffected and in fact we're supporting members requesting financial aide. My request were never responded to. An organizational slip maybe. In September the Church as stated by Sr Pastor has significant internal issues. This is not evident as virus protection such a temperature screening will not happen by policy of leadership. This is a clear risk that is not found in medical offices and other churches. They are VERY HIGH COVID-19 RISK! Unfortunately a predominately white church where he who has the gold rules. Not the Golden Rule. read more

The pastor is wonderful. I have gone here off and on with my family, but people seem to be a bit "clickish". They are not very welcoming to newcomers and they ask for volunteers for groups, but you try to sign up by email or leave a message and nobody calls you back. If you are going to ask for volunteers at least respond to them. Jeff the pastor is wonderful and his messages are wonderful. May the church members should make it a point to greet someone they do not know each week. People want to be accepted. read more

I have moved a lot and gone to a lot of different churches. This church by far has been the most accepting of my family and I. I have fallen on hard times and the ladies in the church have lifted me up and prayed with me. It took time to feel comfortable with everyone because it was a new town and new church. Everyone was always so friendly and helpful with anything I needed. I thank God for showing me this church. It also is the perfect size church it's not to big (where it is hard to make friends) and not to small(where everyone knows your business). I highly recommended this church. Just go one day with an open heart and open mind listen to the pastor. Watch the people and there families this church is like a big family! Always remember that there will be sour people but all you can do standing in the church of God... is pray for them God truly is only love. If you come across someone different from that, they might be having a bad day, they might be fighting a battle you might not see, or they just woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I have grown up in this church. There is no group of people more loving and accepting as those at Woodsedge. The pastor Jeff Wells is so loving, dedicated, and passionate about his messages and all the people. I can't stress enough about how wonderful, welcoming and loving all the people are. No matter who you are, where you are in life. No matter what they just want you to feel loved and welcome. It's the best. It's like walking in to a home of a really big family. The love for God and people that everyone has is simply radiant. I would definitely say that you are absolutely welcome. Anyone and everyone. Join our family.
