The kids' ministry and student ministry teams do an incredible job as well. If you're looking for a church where people are warm, grounded, and scripture-focused, I'd definitely encourage checking it out!

I immediately knew this would be my church home from the day I moved out here. I haven't changed my…read moremind now for over 3 years. The preaching is outstanding, the teaching apart from the pulpit is as well. This isn't a religious country club. This is a community of people who love the worship of God, who love one another and who love the lost. Sunday school classes are referred to as equipping classes as we take our Christianity with us 24/7, equipped to take the Gospel with us wherever we go. Examples of classes are Biblical Counseling, a series on the Puritans, Church History and a Biblical class on marriage. As this is a quickly growing church with an elder based church government and with a number of deacons as well, there is continuous training for those desiring to minister in the church. From Grow Groups, Women's Ministry, Men's Ministry, Children's Ministry etc., you aren't just thrown into positions without equipping. For men we have a large class that meets for two years going through subjects like Systematic Theology, Biblical Ministry and Counseling, Preaching etc. Outreaches into the surrounding communities is standard fare, from teams going out with Gospel Tracts, witnessing in the streets, college campuses, parks, door to door, Gideon's Bible distribution and open air preaching. The children's ministry is outstanding, teens as well and college age students. The service toward seniors is worth mentioning. My wife and I have my 92 year old mother living with us and she has Alzheimer's. The women in the church have gathered around us helping with my mom and nurturing us as well during this trying time. Serving one another is paramount and becoming more like Christ. We teach, reprove, correct and train in righteousness which is our responsibility according to the scriptures. We have mentoring for those want that and church discipline for the purpose of restoration. If you like the ministry of men like John MacArthur or Steve Lawson, you will like this church. I am not in leadership and I am 69 years old. I have been a Christian for over 50 years and have attended a number of churches. This is only the second church I have belonged to that get a five out of five rating. We are welcoming brothers and sisters in Christ to worship with us in Spirit and Truth. Soli Deo Gloria!

I wanted my family in church, and through a series of events we found LSCC. That little church community revolutionized my marriage, my children's walk with Christ, my friendships -- I could go on & on. It frightens me to think that I could have gone my whole life thinking I was a "good Christian" when I was so very far from being "all in" with Christ. Randy is the REAL DEAL, and if I could be half the woman Darla is, I'd be doing great! I saw a review stating that the church wasn't Bible believing/teaching, and with all due respect, that simply isn't true. In fact, Randy didn't even plan on being a preacher, he just wanted to have a really good community Bible study, and it blew up. That's right, the entire church started out as a Bible study. Honestly, I feel if time wasn't a constraint, Randy (and the other pastors) could preach for HOURS and we'd all be glued to the lesson. The "Digging Deep" Bible study is offered before church (and during the week) and takes you further and more richly into the Scriptures that surround Sunday's services. In fact, I grew up in traditional Protestant and Catholic Churches, and it wasn't until I started to attend LSCC that I actually studied and understood the Bible. The services are honest, timely, Biblical, and I can count on one hand how many times I made it through one of Pastor Randy, Pastor Amber or Pastor Rob's sermons without bawling my eyes out. To that end, it was the first place I ever audibly heard the voice of God. I had authentically felt the presence of the Lord, but never heard Him. And, to be honest, I always made fun of/questioned folks saying "God told me...", until it happened to me, right there in LSCC. And, I'm not the only one...I've seen hardened veterans, big burley cow hands, little old ladies and 7 year old children all walk down the aisle with tears in their eyes as they accepted Jesus into their hearts. The Next Gen program (lead by Pastor Amber) is mind blowingly amazing. My three year old's only fits were when we'd tell him it was time to leave Sunday school. My six year old accurately and contextually quotes Scripture. Also, I teach high schoolers who attend LSCC and they are all authentically pursuing their Great Commission. So, if you have kiddos and you care about their walk, get them to LSCC ASAP. We're now in Montana, and the absolute hardest part of leaving Texas wasn't leaving family and friends, though that was hard, it was leaving LSCC. We cried during after our last service there, and bawled some more when Pastor Amber prayed over our family as she said her goodbyes. We now go to church in-person here, but watch the LSCC online service on Monday mornings, because nothing here compares to the message and Great Commission work being done at that little Cowboy church in Montgomery, TX. If you want a REAL, all in, unbridled, unfiltered relationship with the Lord, and a community and leadership to help you get there, Lone Star Cowboy Church is where it's at.

The administration is terrible and cannot be trusted. A personal attack was leveraged at my spouse by a member of the administration after we had problems trying to understand why my child was being singled out constantly. We tried several times to work with the school staff but it ultimately ended in them trying to insinuate that my child has a mental disability. My child was kicked out of the preschool without notice. Bottom line, my child has been evaluated and is fine. In my opinion they just won't take the time to if your child doesn't fall in line.

This is a review of their day school...... Tomorrow's Promise…read more........................ My son and I were beyond blessed to find this school. In his 4 months there, he learned so much more than he had at Primrose (and I was paying a fortune there for his education). Here the classrooms were smaller. The attention (and love) to the students was exceptional! My quiet 2 year old son started coming home singing his ABC's, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Twinkle Twinkle and other songs. He had been in speech prior to starting and even the speech therapist said he has come a long way (and almost ready to exit speech therapy) just by being in this school. I am so blessed for Ms. Faith and Ms. Lori who loved my son like their own. On his first day there, they knew I was nervous and they sent me pictures during the day to show how much fun he was having. Mom son actually loved going to school....in his the 2 year old room - they painted (his favorite), played outside, gardened!!!!, were read too, colored, worked on letters, sang songs, danced, attended chapel and had weekly themed lessons. And the teachers do a great job keeping you informed and letting you know of upcoming lessons......Can you tell, I LOVE this place! Thank you MUMC for loving and educating my child and for hiring teachers who really care!!!
