He provided a detailed estimate for the job and was very honest and detailed about possible additional costs which could become evident once the old roof was removed. After doing some soul-searching, I've decided to edit my review…read more I appreciate that Rob helped me with my project, especially during Covid. The crew was very nice and skilled. They wanted me to be happy with the work. If we stayed with the original plan of having the workers stay the full 15 hrs, there wouldn't be this issue and I would have $800 back. I didn't want or need a rush job done. I only want to pay $2100. Not $2900. I was willing to pay a few hundred more for additional supplies. Adding more workers was never discussed. I don't think that it's fair or right to throw this fee at me because you added another worker.

However, every now and then you come across a business that truly believes in the motto "the customer comes first". This has been my experience with Briggs Landscaping as they have consistently exceeded my loftiest expectations. Briggs did an extensive overhaul of our front yard. The work involved clearing and grading the yard, hauling, dumping and spreading loam, building a flower bed and laying sod. The quote they provided was the best of three estimates provided. Due to an unbelievably wet and cold April, they got behind in their schedule, however Diane (Office Manager) constantly communicated with me on a weekly basis. She was absolutely fantastic. During the week leading up to the work, she provided me perfect details which allowed proper coordination with my irrigation guy. When the work started, the team was prompt, pleasant and professional; great guys! However, the work hit a major snag when they discovered a major root system under a large, grounded, pine tree stump...they were forced to bring in more heavy equipment and the two day job turned into a much larger project to get rid of the huge roots. They constantly communicated the game plan and in the end, the yard and flower beds looked so beautiful. We got the invoice today and even though they probably spent a dozen or more man hours removing the huge pine roots, they honored their cost listed in their original estimate! I will never use another landscape company other than Briggs! They do all the thoughtful touches that make them great. They carefully removed and saves all perennials for us to use elsewhere, they transplanted an Azalea bush...they even put loam and grass seed around some bare spots in the backyard! The perfect landscape company...scratch that...the perfect company!!! Thank you Briggs...clearly customer service is alive and well with you. You have earned me as a faithful customer for life!

Two years to the day we are still not done and continually find problems. We have finally decided to bring a home inspector in to go through the house with a fine tooth comb to try and get all of the issues resolved which will never get done by hh. Just a few problems to mention; crooked moldings, plumbing and electrical issues, multiple Floods, tiling issues, splitting of floors and woodwork. Horrible horrible craftsmanship. Bottom line there was no supervision at all. Never the same subs. Absolutely no pride taken in their work. Harbor homes put a wooden tent sign on our yard for advertising. Somehow it fell over and sat in the mud for over six months. That says it all. We have started a support group for irate hh customers who have all had the same experiences with these people. Never have we seen such dishonest, immoral, disrespectful and unprofessional people. None of us can figure out how they stay in business. Do not use them!!!!! Highly dishonest, but worse, horrible builders!!!

If you're looking for an outfit that can do any job, from building entire houses start to finish,…read moreto simply building you a deck or replacing stairs, Longfellow Design Build is an excellent choice. They have pros in all of the building trades: foundations, HVAC, framing, electrical, plumbing, interior design, specialty kitchens and bathrooms...it an all-inclusive experience and they handle everything. Their name says it all. Design Build. That's what we wanted and that's what they delivered, every step of the way, including permitting with the town, architectural drawings, elevations and blueprints, engineering schematics and plans, and of course all elements of construction both outside and inside. We contracted Longfellow to design and build an entire 2ndfloor for our cottage in the Swifts Beach area of Wareham. They worked closely with us and provided several options for materials, fixtures and appliances, flooring, lighting, etc. They invited us to consult with them at every stage, and they willingly changed some of the plans during construction when we asked for some additional windows and partition walls. No problem. We were so pleased with the end-result of our new upstairs that we had them renovate our downstairs, too. We had them re-shingle our entire home, add new hardwood floors throughout the downstairs, insulate, drywall, and plaster all of our 1st floor walls, replace some windows, and replace all of our downstairs electrical outlets. These folks are fast, too. Honestly...in two days' time they demolished our roof, framed and decked the new 2nd floor, erected all of the outer walls, framed the new roof which included a massive, sturdy LVL beam for the ridge board, and then sheathed and wrapped it all in Tyvek. We were dumbfounded. Their electricians are first rate, and fast. It's the same with every other aspect of their construction, including keeping the yard clean and being courteous to our neighbors. They have several skilled crews and multiple trade masters on their team, with showrooms in Falmouth, Osterville, Sandwich, and Harwich Port. They also construct and remodel homes in the local towns off-Cape, which was the case with us. In short, Longfellow Design Build took our three-season cottage and transformed it into beautiful, comfortable, weather-tight, luxurious, year-round home, AND THE PRICE WAS RIGHT! We are so glad we entrusted them with our whole-home makeover. They hit a home run for us. Cally Robyn Wareham, Massachusetts
