I went to Fitch's for an auto body repair estimate. They were my first stop and it's a good thing…read morethey were not my last. I called ahead and made an appointment to make sure the shop could devote time for the estimate inspection. Mark eyeballed the damage, took some photos and ran the estimate. The inspection took all of 30 seconds. Back in the shop, he noted he was unable to find a price or availability for a basic part for a vehicle less than 10 years old. He claimed the pandemic continues to create scarcity in parts and he might be able to find one at a salvage yard if he's lucky. The next shop I went to had no problems finding a price and the part Fitch's claimed no longer exists. They ran their hands along the panels and noticed subtle damage Fitch's shop completely missed. The third shop I went to did a thorough inspection, looking into and underneath places Fitch and the other shop didn't bother to check and they identified additional damage and showed me what they found so I could see it for myself. So ... needless to say Fitch's is not getting my business. I cannot speak to the quality of Fitch's actual repair work; but I do know that they missed several significant items that needed repair in their inspection. The damage to my vehicle was relatively minor, but they missed so many things their estimate was half the amount of the other two shops. I hate to think what they would miss on a major repair. The owner was personable and polite, so they get one star for that. I encourage anyone getting an estimate at Fitch's to get a second opinion, just in case my experience is not unique.

In the past when we had to have auto body repair done it was like "O no " who are we going to get…read moreto do it. We have not had good luck. More then once the paint hasn't matched with other auto body shops. But we have Had Probst do more then one repair. Paint match is awesome. Not that anyone want to have to have auto body work done. But a lest now I know it will match and be done right. No worries. They have went above and beyond.
