I grew up watching legends like Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus on TV with my grandpop. Having already worked with two different instructors as an adult, I was really just looking for a refresher to get back on track. I decided to try Dolphin Highlands Golf Course. Unfortunately, I missed my first appointment, but the staff was great about it and gave me some free range balls to make up for it. However, the environment was a bit distracting--it was hard to understand how people focus there with planes from the Middletown Airport flying overhead the entire time. When I finally made it to my second lesson, I met my coach 1-on-1. Tim is highly knowledgeable, clearly knows his stuff, and has been in the game for a long time. That said, during our session, he focused heavily on how PGA legends hit the ball, constantly referencing players like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and Arnold Palmer. Personally, I prefer a coach who assesses my natural swing and makes minor adjustments from there, rather than trying to completely restructure my form to copy someone else. After all, I am unique--complete with a beautiful face and bronze skin! I believe in playing my own way. Honestly, people should try hitting the way I do, because I can drive the ball incredibly far, especially for an amateur. While I still recommend him as a coach because of his expertise, he just wasn't the right fit for my personal goals. Everyone is different, and that's the beauty of being human; we all have the freedom to grow and make our own choices here in the US. I hope this review helps you decide if Dolphin Highlands is the right spot for you!

Definitely better on the weekdays. I'm slightly torn on exactly how to raid it because I love the fact that this is about the course and I love the fact that it's under $100 to Play. Really wonderful bones... nice views... great hole designs... built on land that it was a former iron mine, which gives it a unique vibe. And it feels slightly whiny to say it... There seems to be no effort put forth by the Pelvo's staff or Stoner Commons ground staff maintain a course worthy of the cost to play. All it requires is about 15 minutes or less each day to walk the course with a leaf blower to create a clean, clear, presentable , and playable course. Upon complain, cashier said they try to blow it off "every once in a while, but our gas blower needs gas". Suggestion, be proactive and get gas and do it, or get a battery operated one, but who knows, then the battery might not be charged. If you plan on playing here, suggest inspection first and then decide if worth pay to play.

The view was pleasant in a country environment. The only negative was the young lady who rang us up was no where to be found when we arrived and as she was ringing is up we had to tell her three times that one of the players was military she was so out of it. Admittedly, she was also no where to be found when we wished to play a second game so we just kept going. After our two rounds we decided to partake in the music bingo the Stoner grill was hosting. So we ordered a few drinks and played until it was done.

The pool and pool areas are clean. There is a basketball court, playground, shuffle board, & volleyball net. Grassy area to play baseball or throw frisbee. There are umbrellas and shady spots. There are three pools: baby pool, diving board area in deep end, and 3' to 5' pool with funky slides. Pizza place will deliver to the pool. You can take water aerobics classes at night. Swim lessons are offered for a price. The life guards are absolutely fabulous to the kids learning. ‍‍‍come have fun in the sun!

All at the same time! Lots of things for your kids to enjoy. Plenty of deck space, but few/no chairs so bring your own blankets/chairs.
