Small Beer garden which is nice and can be accessed from the main entrance or conservatory. Can be a little bit noisy due to the road though. A decent sized car park is attached to the pub. I've been here two or three times recently and it's certainly not an issue. Excellent well cooked meat, nice properly cooked veggies (not soggy and tasteless) and the best bit.....they actually advertise a "Trio" where if you can't decide which roast to have, you can have a nice juicy slice of each. Even better, they do a "Monster" where you get a double portion of Meat. Great food, reasonably price (but great value) combined with 2 or 3 very nice guest ales available most days and some very helpful smiley staff and I couldn't think of a better place to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Nice pub, nice beer, nice food served by nice staff…read more This is what it is, an out of the way boozer serving good quality pub food. The building itself is steeped in history with many a ghost story behind it and a few stories as such adorn the wall letting you know all about it's history. The food is good, some hits and some misses, but overall good fayre. The Sunday dinners are very good, good enough for me to have my christmas dinner here, but this is mainly because of my next point. The one thing which I like is the friendly atmosphere helped by the always friendly staff. All in all a good boozer with good food and a great atmosphere
