It's great that they will soon be expanding with the opening of the restaurant and hopefully will be there for a while to come so I can visit again.

The owner showed us round the accommodation that is available at the back of the public house, he showed us the disabled room, which was very well equipped, we would not hesitate to stay there or recommend it to anyone. There are plenty of parking spaces at the rear of the pub. We will return in the future to dine again.

The food is standard pub fare but good quality and sensibly priced. Minimal use of microwave, as far as I could see. The pub is patronised by locals and walkers on the Durham coast path.
