I don't let the female barber cut my hair, no offense to her, just prefer AJ. I've heard from friends that she doesn't do as good of a haircut.

Ask for Melvin when you go here, he runs the place and always gives a good reliable cut, no frills. The walls are adorned with pictures of John Wayne and other various actors from the 50's and 60's, the magazine rack is well stocked with content ranging from hunting, guns in general, motorcycles, military aircraft, and general outdoor type stuff. The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is because aside from Melvin the other barbers here seem to come and go, often the wait time can be a little long.

He appeared unfamiliar with techniques and wording such as proper layering, undercuts, taper fades and sideburn shaping. After I explained the difference in haircut from the reference video, he attributed the outcome to the client wanting to resemble the model rather than adapting the cut using appropriate techniques. The barber also used vulgar wording when provided feedback, I am hoping for more professionalism in an open family-friendly shop! He was also unwilling to review short reference videos provided by the client and instead wanted to get over it fast. He pointed me away from the mirror so I wouldn't look at his lack of skill until the end. I'm hoping to have a better experience with the Korean staff and will provide an update afterward.
