It was during a cold snap in February of 2022, and I had an issue with my electrical service at a rental property that I own....and this problem resulted in a very upset tenant. Rusty came to the property and solved the issue on a Saturday night when the Cats were playing ! He detected a loose terminal, solved the matter and enabled me to confidently communicate the solution to the tenant. They are good local guys that I trust. I don't have a lot of electrical work but they know their stuff and do what they say they are going to do.

What I like about them is that unlike most electricians, they don't charge a service fee to show up. The bill is only for the hours worked. Heads up: both times, they arrived quite early (30 and 45 minutes early). I'm not sure if this is how they always are, but I'd recommend being in touch the day-of if you work full time and aren't planning to be home until close to the time you scheduled.

Normally, I wouldn't post anything negative (at least not to this extent), but we really got taken by this electrician. He was hired to replace an outlet at our pool pump and add three additional outlets on our pool deck. Originally, he was to have used the current outlet location, replace the plug, add an on/off switch and run conduit over to the deck and install three outlets on the deck. I had to do the digging myself for him to bury the conduit to save a little money. The project ended up costing us $440 and the switch worked for a day and then stopped. The breaker kept tripping and we initially thought that it was the pool pump, but even when nothing was plugged into the outlet, the breaker still tripped. I reached out to the electrician 6 times with no response. We ended up having to get another electrician to come and look at the switch/breaker. This time, we used the recommendation of realtor friend. The junction box that 64 electric installed was full of water and ended up shorting out the outlet at the pool. We had to end up having all of the wiring replaced as well as the plug & on/off switch and the breaker. $1122 as of the time I am putting in this note. I reached out to 64 electric again today before I put this note in, but no response. The electrician working on the plug now said that it looked like someone had quickly put in the wiring, boxes as cheaply as he could, took our money and ran. The guy from Electric might be an okay electrician to some, and he sold himself up quite high with us, but he is definitely not okay as a human being to me.

He was kind, professional, knowledgeable, and did a fantastic job. (He's a Master Plumber) At all times he kept in communication...texting before he came to the house. (Cecil's also sends a text with a map so you can follow on the map when he's on the way) Love that! The repairs were done quickly and correctly, and everything is working great now. It's rare to find a home service company that communicates well, shows up on time, and genuinely cares about doing things the right way. These days it is hard to get anyone to even answer the phone. These guys are scam artists. They work off commission, so they will charge customers 3-4 times the…read moregoing rate. They are ripping off people who don't know any better. Stay away and do your due diligence in getting other quotes. 2k for 2 surge protectors that cost 85$ each and five minutes of labor (cost should be 600$ at most). 22k for plug and switch change out is ridiculous (should be 7k at most and maybe 10k if its a worst case scenario). 2300$ to change 6 smoke detectors (360$ in materials after labor 800$ at most). 600$ for a diagnostic fee is outrageous to figure out why a plug isn't working and not even fix it (most companies can diagnose and fix the plug for 250$ which is their minimum). 70$ just to come give a quote (quotes are free with most companies).

He told me that there were two possibilities for the problem, a cheap option and a more expensive one. I liked how he recommended that we try the cheap option and see if it worked first. That's the way I prefer to do business. So far, the washer has been draining without issue. I'm out a $39.99 service fee. I think it was well worth the price. Denny explained that if the washer required more drastic repairs, they waive the service fee. In the end, these guys seem like honest, knowledgeable repair technicians. I would definitely recommend and use again.

I've had the honor of working with him on multiple occasions when he came to repair appliances, and each time, he has been extremely kind, professional, and pleasant to work with. Most recently, while Barry was repairing my stove, I experienced an unexpected water break in my bathroom--a pipe burst, and water was pouring everywhere. I had no idea how to turn it off, but Barry jumped into action without hesitation. He quickly helped shut off the water, preventing further damage, and even assisted me in calling the emergency rental number to get additional help.
