Communication was not very good at all. I received a couple of emails saying that my appointment…read moreneeded to be changed and then when I went to make a new appointment, it said that they didn't have anything available forever! It could be that my case isn't something that they want to take on, but for me, it would be nice just to have talked to somebody. I guess I'm not going to bring them enough money. I have been physically injured in my eye and emotionally and financially injured, but I just guessed that this isn't something that they are concerned with it because I'm not a big money maker here for them

My dad and mother in law had Carol do their living trusts a few years ago per my recommendation,…read moreand everything went smoothly. So my wife and I decided to call and setup an appointment for our own trust, the lady answering the phones said Carol schedules all of her appointments and that she'd take my information and pass it on to Carol and i would receive a call to setup appointment....... I waited 3-4 weeks , never received a call back and called the office again and told the receptionist what happened and she said she would make a note of that and pass it along to Carol. Once again i never heard back about making an appointment . My dad and Mother in law had no issues and a pleasant experience with setting up an appt and creating a trust , but my wife and I weren't so lucky . It feels weird to recommend someone to a couple family members and then have a bad experience myself. I'm not sure if it's just incompetence from the receptionist or business is so good that it doesn't matter if you return phone calls to potential customers, either way it left a bad taste in my mouth and I will take my business elsewhere. My mother in law had her sister call Carol a week ago after moving here from out of state and hadn't heard back so I can only assume that this is normal for her office to drop the ball and you should consider yourself to be lucky if you actually get a return call. You don't get a second chance to make a first impression, I definitely wouldn't recommend this law office to anyone again .

I came to Lance having received advice I didn't like from a previous lawyer about a business…read morepartnership dispute. Lance listened to my situation and provided options that no other lawyer had expressed giving me an exit from the problem! He formulated an excellent contract, actively handled communications and pushed a deal through with the other side in extreme resistance. I am going to do whatever it takes to keep this guy in my corner moving forward. He's pricey, but worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY of his hourly fee. He billed honestly, and consistently guided our efforts toward choices which would ensure that the goal was accomplished with the smallest possible bill from him.

Lance Maiss is unprofessional, rude, and arrogant. I reached out to my MetLife Legal Law Plan…read morethrough my employer looking to consult an attorney on the process of small claims after my neighbor was caught on dash cam hitting my parked car and now refusing to take financial responsibility. I mentioned I have never been through the small claims process before and asked for advice on the process. The only thing he was correct on was the need for the demand letter. He told me I could print it up and leave it at my neighbors door which was the absolute wrong information. He also said I only needed to wait seven days after providing the demand letter. I wasted my time going to the courthouse yesterday only to be told the demand letter must be sent certified and then wait 15 days after it is received before I could file a small claims case. The gentleman at the post office knew and explained the process better than this attorney. I filed a complaint against him with Met Life Legal as they should not be paying for him to provide wrong legal advice.

Keenan Hawkins of Mobo Law was very effective in quickly helping me handle a tricky tenant lease…read moretermination situation in Reno. Although the laws in Nevada are quite landlord-friendly, there are many legal details required in properly delivering notices to tenants. Keenan let me know my various options while strategizing on the best way to insure that the tenant vacated without incident. In the end, he prepared a contract that made me feel secure in releasing some of the security deposit early in exchange for the tenant leaving on time. Had I not had the attorney's guidance, who knows if the tenant would have vacated and I may have been out way more money in having to evict. He responded quickly and worked efficiently throughout the process. I will definitely consult Keenan Hawkins of Mobo Law for Nevada Landlord matters in the future.
