The park has various unique areas, and is well shaded and serene. There's a lot of twists and turns, hidden areas, and elevation changes that make the park feel bigger than it is. There was a cool breeze through the canopies on a very warm day and garbage cans to dispose of our leftovers. When we stumbled upon the gorgeous flower gardens, I could not believe it. There were multiple gardeners working outside of the conservatory and although it was closed, I can't imagine that there was anything more beautiful inside than what we saw outside. We were able to sit over at the benches and rally enjoy the fountain and manicured flowers. There was a large, veryrude family that did come through who wanted to scream at their kids and then try to take photographs in front of the flowers like a happy family. Then allow their smaller children to stomp through the flowers and scream loudly while they stared at their phones. And there were of course at least two young ladies posing for "the gram" that picked flowers and made obnoxious gestures in ridiculously skimpy clothes... I guess those types of things can't be helped these days and they are no reflection on the garden itself, just be prepared for your peace to be interrupted. We also made a quick stop at the Rose garden which I did not find to be quite as beautiful but smelled lovely... There were just too many bugs and it was there were just too many bugs and it was far too warm to spend much time there. If I lived closer to this park, I would come everyday to listen to the sound of the fountain and appreciate the beauty of the topiaries and flowers and I would recommend a stop here for anyone who appreciates the beauty of nature.

The playground and splash pad were a little small, but the playground seemed pretty new with fresh wood chips giving it a nice smell. The kids loved it and it was nice to have small benches to sit on around the fence line. There's a 9 hole frisbee golf course I'll have to come back and try. It looked like a decent course that was well maintained. Also, there was a nice, small basketball court with 4 hoops to play on. Bathrooms were what you'd expect at a large park (clean, but smelled like an outdoor bathroom). There was at least one large gazebo with tables under it and I believe some bbqs.

Bigger playground area with newer equipment including swings and slides for bigger kids. Careful in the summer as the surfaces get hot. Tons of grass and open area. At the time of this visit they were doing a catered event with bounce houses and little food trucks. Plenty of parking in the lot or on the street. For residential parks this is as good as it gets. :)

What it has going for it: - good fencing, gates and entry area - decent size run - dog drinking fountain - poop bags provided - limited views of river What it has going against it: - no small dog run - ground cover is packed dirt...bad drainage - no shade - limited seating - no parking close to run When they were planning Riverstone Park I am sure they needed to check off the box for a dog park, but I think it was at the bottom of the list of priorities since there doesn't seem a lot of thought was put into the planning of this dog park. Access is from the Centennial Trail. The closest parking is on West Suzanne Rd or you will have to park at the parking lot for Riverstone Park and walk over 1/3 mile to this dog run. This public dog run/park is being used mostly by the tenants of the adjacent Riverstone apartments. Add shading, more seating and better ground cover and this is a 3 star dog park/run. Fixed the drainage issue, add a small dog run and better access and this could be a 4 star dog run/park.

Beautiful park and trail system just across the river from downtown Post Falls…read more Park itself is nothing to write home about IMHO. There's a big grassy area near the river and the usual amenities. Playground is small and lacking much equipment. The trail system is pretty awesome however. You can start out walking right past the dam, which is a damn fine dam, if on the smaller side. Water roars through the canyon forming impressive white water peaks and roiling whorls of awe-inspiring magnitude. Watch your kids. More than a couple spots where a slip could mean certain death. Once you get back into the trails it is confusing AF. Very hard to know where to go and the trail markings are hardly helpful and seem to switch up randomly. Lots of spots where people like to rock climb. Overall the terrain is rugged with a lot of ups and downs, light to medium scrambling, and rough terrain. Not recommended for the elderly or people with legs for arms and arms for legs. You can do the whole loop in 1.5 hours or so. Bathrooms are port-a-potties. There is a building but it was locked up on my visit.
