Beautiful multi-use park and recreation area in Post Falls. The park planners did a great job integrating spaces with the landscape. The park has various unique areas, and is well shaded and serene. There's a lot of twists and turns, hidden areas, and elevation changes that make the park feel bigger than it is. Not much to look at right now as much of the park area is under construction and the water isn't in full flow. So I would probably give this a miss until the construction is done. Otherwise, it would be a pretty cool little spot to visit while in the area. read more

Great park with nicely paved trails appropriate for kids, bikes, those who may be older or have mobility issues, etc. It's currently under construction but still a nice place to get outside. Park space for kids is limited but there are a few swings, a climbing area and a couple of slides. Picnic tables are available and it seems to be a good fishing spot as there were quite a few fishermen about this afternoon! read more

I was in the area and saw he beautiful pictures of this park and had to come and see for myself. It was a pretty small park, but it had a lot to see and places to take pictures and to relax and enjoy the view. The park also had a few historical/information places so you can read the history about the dam and how everything came to be. There was a field trip the day I visited but it didn't ruin my experience. The children were so amazed at everything and heir teachers added to our experience because they gave more information that we didn't know. There is also a small pond there that you can fish there. There was a family their fishing together. They caught 4 fish! Overall it was a great park and experience. read more

Nice park for a brief strong and a little history. The reader boards are very well done. We only stayed for about 15 minutes as the park was busy and masks were rare. The Spokane river was beautiful. read more

What a great little park to stretch your legs. My 4-year old son and I walked the loop and saw the dam. They have a playground with older equipment, but it would be fun for most kids. This is a great park that feels very safe. You can see clearly through most of the park as you venture. There are informational post about the history of the area. There is a play ground, a fishing pond, a walk over bridge and many other areas of interest. There are Poke Stops and lots of Pokemon appear. One trip I caught 3-4 Magikarp, which I thought were silly cause they just flop on thier sides. But have you seen what they evolve into?! There is plenty of room for catchers, families and leashed dogs to explore. read more

Post Falls Park is a great little park that is handicap accessible for all to enjoy. It offers educational signs to explain how and why the dam was built. There is a small playground for children to play. They can also feed the ducks in the ponds. The restrooms were clean, which is always greatly appreciated by me. One of the fine examples of public space in Post Falls. The park is situated on the north channel of the hydroelectric damn that gives the town its namesake. This park has a few options for visitors and a majority of it is wheelchair accessible with paved paths everywhere. There is a fishing pond setup at this location and this area was dedicated as a family fishing area with special rules for kids and fishing. Check out the regs book. Parking lot usually has plenty of space for parking. The view from the walkway of the damn is amazing. I would try visiting when the river is at its full fierce speed of spring thaw and admire the power of the water cascading down the falls-the noise is impressive. This park is riddled with ducks and geese-and a few sketchy marmots. We've had a great time wandering around, feeding critters and enjoying nature in the park. This is a MUST SEE visit for visiting out of towners. read more

Catch it in the spring when they are letting the runoff out its a site to see and worth the small 2 minute walk.

A peaceful place to visit while in Post Falls. Nice walking paths, play area for children, picnic benches to enjoy some food and relax. There are also grills so you can bring food and cook. When the dam is open it is quite a sight. Still nice to view when not open though. Many viewpoints with information available at each spot to educate viewer. Lots of ducks, geese on site. PLEASE PLACE YOUR TRASH IN ONE OF THE MANY GARBAGE RECEPTACLES AND NOT ON THE GROUND. read more

FP is a staple in PF (Post Falls)...the name of the town literally comes from the notion of the falls created by the damn. That is what this is...a glorified viewpoint of a very heavy water flow being held by the damn. When they release it the view is pretty wonderful. The falls are massive and immediately flow into a mini cannon with a few sharp turns...making for some great rapids and a mist that reaches the top of the rock walls. The park itself is really small. I cannot even recommend​ it as a place to get steps in (unless you are willing to do laps...yes I have done this). If you are visiting...the park is really accessible and worth the quick trip to see...but don't go out of your way to get here. Really this is more of a sentimental place for locals. The old damn sits just off to the side of the entrance walkway and there is a bit to read about its history. The playground has changed a lot over the years (it has the only remaining merry-go-round in PF if your little ones are looking for one) but it is nice enough. The real point of interest here is the fishing pond that went in. ID Fish and Game stocks the pond every year (remember anyone over 14 needs a license to fish). There are picnic tables to use for a gathering or just a lunch with family. The park definitely serves it purpose:) read more
