Shrimp wontons and fries
Night Ryder I.

4.5 Stars - W.O.W.'s offerings appealed to me the most out of the many food trucks present at the Passport to the World event held at Mills Pond Park in Fort Lauderdale. I ordered the shrimp wontons and oxtail tacos. I've since learned to restate my order so I get exactly what I want. Only wanted shrimp wontons but was given shrimp wontons with fries. Same price @ $15.50 but without fries included more wontons--which were my focus. The wontons were delicious and I really missed the additional three I would have gotten. I'm not a fan of crinkle cut fries but they were good, freshly fried and crispy. Anyway, the oxtail tacos were tasty. There was something off though. Maybe because some strips of the shredded meat was a little hard. Otherwise, the meat was well-seasoned. Top notch presentation--ample portions, sturdy containers, neatly assembled, including utensil/napkin pack and delicious dipping sauces. Staff were okay. Seemed more focused on fast, accurate, order output than smiles and chatting up customers. I paid with cash and was shorted my exact change (coins) without explanation, just given a blank look. Maybe the crew person expected me to say keep it all as a tip. I would have if I'd gotten a thank you for my almost $40 order.

I decided to try WOW at the Night Market at the mall in Pembroke Pines. The jerk chicken wontons caught my eye when I made rounds to see what trucks were offering. I got them with fries. Wontons were smaller than expected but thought maybe they would taste awesome anyways. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. Didn't really taste the filling at all, especially with all the very crunchy wrapper. It came with 2 sauces that I'm not familiar with the flavors of. They were fine. However, if you dip into those, that is really becomes all you taste. I was rather glad I got the order with fries because I would have been even less full than I was without those extra carbs. The fries were nice and hot, slightly on the crisp side. Slightly seasoned with something not very bold that I couldn't quite identify. I think it was $15.50 for the 10 with fries. Not a taste or cost I can justify again.

Asian Caribbean fusion food truck with tasty bites. Their menu has common known dishes (wontons, rice bowls, hand heads & tacos) with a unique fusion twist. A few of their unique items are the calypso shrimp wontons, bulgogi beef rice bowl, jerk chicken quesadilla and short rib tacos. I went for the (12) calypso shrimp wontons. With the wontons they give you the option of ten wontons with fries or twelve wontons. They come with two dipping sauces that paired perfectly with the calypso shrimp wontons. They were crunchy (not greasy) and the filling was delicious. I quite enjoyed them. Especially with the dipping sauces. Next time they come around I want to try their jerk chicken wontons, jerk chicken quesadilla and cheesecake wontons ;))

I found this food truck on Instagram through a friend's page. The food looked really good so I decided to try it when they were at a weekly food truck event in the AMC parking lot. Since then, I have been there on a Thursday several times to eat some of their delicious food. They provide flavorful food for reasonable prices. You are given a good portion of food that does not take long to get after placing your order. Customer service is always great. I usually get their spicy chicken sandwich, but today I ventured out and tried the jerk chicken quesadilla. It had a generous amount of chicken in it and instead of using tortilla, they used pitas which gave it a delicious twist. It came with seasoned crinkle fries. I got all of this food for $12. I recommend everyone to try this gem. There are so many delicious options.

Drove to Pembroke Pines for a certain food truck, tried a few others as well but this one ended up being the winner. Service was on-point and easy. Food was delicious, unique and it was priced appropriately. This is basically everything a food truck should be. We had the jerk chicken quesadilla. It comes with a side of seasons crinkle fries. There's a generous amount of chicken in it. Instead of tortilla they use a thin pita which gives it a nice taste and makes it more filling. Food came out hot, definitely has a spicy kick but it's not overwhelming. I usually don't like crinkle fries but these were great. There's a lot of flavor, I really enjoyed the food. It was delicious. Overall a very positive experience and I am looking forward to trying more of their items. Pines is definitely far for me though so hopefully they can come to the margate or Coral Springs food truck nights in the future.

Only had the mint green tea lemonade and guava cheesecake wontons. I really liked the wontons but they seemed tiny for the price (4 for $7.00). Drink was refreshing

I didn't know how much I loved wontons until I had these Caribbean fusion wontons. They're the perfect bite size flavor bomb for your mouth. Since they opened (2016), Ive had all flavors like the shrimp, chicken (jerk Nd regular) cheesecake and the "Woubles" which is inspired from the Trinidadian Street food Doubles. Though W.O.W can be found at multiple food truck round ups in Miami, my favorite is when they are stationed at my favorite Caribbean parties or "fetes" as well call them. They are super friendly and nice especially when you can't make up your mind (trust me - they're all amazing!!) and make sure you smother or dip them in the wow sauce or the garlic sauce ooooorrrr both. Lol. Also, make sure to take a sip of a fresh Trini soda like Solo or Apple J. You won't regret it!! They also announce their weekly schedule on Instagram so look them up and stalk them lol.

This is indeed what fusion looks like. They took wontons which is a popular appetizer in Trinidad and added additional Caribbean based fillings. Although Shrimp is the most popular and can be found all over T&T, they took a creative spin and added things like Channa, Jerk chicken, pork and even cream cheese. I was first introduce the famous WOW truck from Miami Carnival events back in 2018. Since then, I would be sure to order delicious shrimp and chicken wontons every chance I get. Whichever wontons you decide to get, be sure try their Mint Green tea Lemonade, it is refreshing.

Delicious! Caught them at the Heritage Park Food Truck invasion for the first time. We ordered the wings with fries. They took about 10min because they fry them fresh. The crust was amazingly crispy and they had a lot of flavor. I really enjoyed them with the white sauce (forgot the name) which reminded me of a garlic aioli with a hint of sweetness. We wanted to try the cheesecake wontons as well but were too full from other trucks by the time we got the chance. Overall I really loved it and will stop by again in the future.

Caribbean fusion wontons?! I never thought this would have been such a great mix! I ordered the shrimp wontons that also come with a side of fries. The wontons were fried to crispy perfection. The shrimp was well seasoned on the inside, reminded me of a garlic shrimp my family makes. The fries are also well seasoned crinkle fries, very addictive! They have two sauce options, one called the wow sauce and the other a garlic sauce. The wow sauce is like a spiced upp ketchup that I could not get enough of. I would love if they bottled and sold this! The menu also provides asian Caribbean fusion rice bowls, jerk items and a shrimp burger, which I must try on my next visit as I kept hearing great reviews on.

WOW never fails to please! I've had their food a couple times when they would be at Pines & Douglas on Wednesday evenings. I don't think they go out there anymore, but you can usually find their schedule on their IG page. The WOW truck was at my job for lunch yesterday and I was super hyped to get my fix! I ordered a shrimp burger (classic trini street food) with fries and an order of shrimp wontons. Us trini folk love our wontons!! The service was great. It took a few minutes for them to make the shrimp burger but it was well worth the wait. The fries and the wontons were fried to perfection and everything was seasoned well with generous portions. Not forgetting their pepper sauce... it is soooo yummy. It's hot but tasty. Their garlic sauce is also seasoned and has a great flavor as well. If you're from Trinidad, you know how important it is to "dress" your food with ENUFF garlic sauce. The "WOW sauce" was good but I am not a fan of sweet sauce and it did have a tamarind flavor. They have a lot of options on their menu. I urge you to try them if you haven't done so already. They also sell their sauces and I'm pretty sure they also sell frozen wontons for you to take home. It's worth the money, the wait, and the drive! It's great to have a trini food truck out here

Always excited to see this food truck at any venue. The shrimp wontons are a must. The flaky wonton skin with the warm flavorful shrimp makes my mouth do a happy dance. It takes a little while to receive but that just means the food is coming out fresh out the fryer. For the first time I tried the woubles which is a combination of curried chick peas and potato, a play and around the wontons and doubles he fed woubles. I was so pleasantly surprised. Can't believe I haven't tried it sooner. The warm curry chick pease flavor with the tender potato and the crunch of the wontons.... all I can say is WOW! The name is fitting for the business. They also have burgers and a cream cheese wonton for dessert. I enjoy everything that comes out of the truck. Looking forward to seeing the truck again at the next event

I loved the wontons and the dipping sauces. I normally do not like many dipping sauces but I enjoyed both of theirs. I visited them on Wednesday at Volunteer Park and they guy was nice. Not very helpful with the suggestions lol but I guess it really is just up to your taste/preference. I chose the Calypso shrimp wontons and I have no complaints. I like my wontons super crunchy/crispy and they were just that. They also offer other items as well but you should definitely try their speciality item (wontons).

I got the spicy tuna and it tasted very fresh. I couldn't really taste the flavor on it so much but it was delish regardless. They had so many options to choose from with some toppings being extra money like mango, masago, avocado, and imitation crab. I got the initiation crab and it was my FAVORITE part of my bowl! The build your own was nice and the lady behind the counter gave generous portion sizes and allowed me to get my sauces on the side as I was trying them for the first time. They do have bowls already customized but it was nice to build my own, they even allow you to do half/half with different proteins and I liked that they offered shrimp and chicken for cooked options for those who do not like raw fish. Also can do rice, salad, or half and half as base! The mochi was fab, some of my friends got boba and bubble teas and they raves about them. Definitely a good spot for a big portion and a good price for a fresh tasting meal! If I am back in this area I will definitely be making a stop back. Ps. Get the ponzu sauce!! It was AMAZE!

Small, but homey with welcoming, friendly staff. Each and every server contributes pleasant conversation to the experience. Very clean and well managed as you are invited to sit anywhere as drink orders are immediately taken and menus provided. Servers are skilled at explaining choices...and there are many. My very favorite thing is their tofu soup! Happiness is seeing them approach the table with a huge, steamy, bubbling, fragrant cauldron of this liquid heaven! Creamy, silky, soft tofu melts in your mouth with a rich, flavorful broth. My go to is the clam or seafood. It comes with a raw egg to crack and mix into the broth that arrives still boiling in the bowl. Their banchan is delish and refillable on request. Other favorites teok bokki with fish cake, dyoza boiled or fried, galbi (short rib) and a similar dish made with chicken that I don't know the name of. I have recently tried their k-ramen soup and now am faced with the dilemma of choosing that or sticking with my tofu soup addiction!! Yes, a little pricey but well worth it with generous portions and almost always have to take some home. If you are close by, treat yourself. If you need to travel to Weston, do it. You will not be sorry. I saw very few negative reviews and I just gotta say I was left thinking they must be living in an alternate reality or they are devoid of working taste buds!!
