All the people on this office are wonderful! Very respectful and diligent! Dr Jo sets the standard!

This place is very inefficient. The check in process takes 30 minutes. They still do a significant amount of paper registration and charting. *paper...really?!?* I felt like I was in a 1990's clinic. They don't actually triage you until one hour after the scheduled time. I learned my lesson not to go back here again. Hope everyone can learn from this. read more

Dr. Won Jo is great! Have gotten an endoscopy and a colonoscopy done in the last year there. He is very knowledgeable and professional as well as the anesthesiologist (wish I had gotten her name). It is a slow process--both times I was there took over 3 hours--that would be my only complaint! I would highly recommend the Doctor for any gastroenterology needs. read more

Dr. Jo is a highly competent specialist in gastroenterology, whose training and teaching background include stints at Harvard University Medical School. He is a caring physician who administers painless colonoscopies; obtains and carefully evaluates all available relevant data before commencing treatment of a discovered physical condition; and will even reach out to patients who he believes need to be consulted, and see them on short notice. I have now had two painless colonoscopies performed by Dr. Jo at Redlands Community Hospital spaced years apart, as well as a physical examination and a few office visits with him. Office staff is lazy, and doesnt seem to care about anything but personal chatter. Called 5 times to confirm an appointment without a return call. The Dr changes his schedule and cancels your appointment repeatedly. All this and we havent even seen the doctor yet..... there has to be better offices or at least better run offices. read more

The office staff is horrible! I made an appointment for my father months in advance and since he needs a driver I took the day off work. We arrive and they told us that his appointment was reschedule and yet neither one of us was notified. I then set the appointment for another day. When we arrived for the rescheduled appointment they told us once again that his appointment was for another day. This is not acceptable! I took two days off and the staff do not take any accountability- always shifting the responsibility and telling us they "didn't updated it in the computer" or "their supervisor made the appointment". Now they tell us we can be seen but we've been in the waiting room for over an hour. This office needs to get their s*** together. read more

Absolutely unacceptable!!!.... I set an appointment two months out, came in even a few minutes early to my scheduled appointment. When I walked in, there was LITERALLY NOT ONE SINGLE SEAT available to sit in with well over a two hour wait. (See photo below, there was at least 30-40 people). They offered to put a chair in the hallway for me to sit). I asked how can this happen, and was told that the doctor "overbooks" in case of an occasional cancellation. The thing is, I understand a slight overbooking, however, this was a clear DISREGARD to my schedule. (Basically, the doctor does NOT VALUE my time over his, and figures I have nothing better to do than to sit and wait for him). They could of called so that I can re-Arrange my appointment, or plan for child care, etc.) As a comparison, I just saw the head neurosurgeon at a children's hospital for my daughter who only kept me waiting less than 10 minutes. Arrived at office prior to 9.00 am appointment for a medical procedure . Watched as numerous people came in after me and were processed before me. Finally after 1.5 hours of this we left. No one said the reason for the wait . This appointment was scheduled 2 months prior. I'm not sure if the Dr. takes his regular patients first and then takes referrals but what happened to me was unacceptable. I can't blame the Dr. as I never met him. Another note is that you must have a driver to take you home after the procedure, so another person was also inconvenienced. Will not be going back. read more

Had my first colonoscopy with Dr. Jo at age 60. It was a piece of cake; I was worried for nothing. The hardest part was drinking the gallon of PEG solution, use a straw and chill it in the refrigerator before drinking, makes it go down so much easier. There were absolutely no side effects, I was able to eat normally immediately after the procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Jo for professionalism, care, and fantastic staff. The day after the procedure you can expect a call from his staff to inquiry how are you are feeling and to see if there are any complications, for me there were none. I praised that kind service, something unheard of in the fast food style of a lot of Dr.'s now a day. Word of advice, stop eating solid food a full 2 days before the procedure. Stick to jello and clear soups, water, tea, coffee. read more

Avoid this Dr. and Mountain View Surgery Center for your screening colonoscopy. It is a one-size-fits-all, assembly-line, low-cost, high profit procedure done in a warehouse in an industrial park. You get no consultation or information in advance, see the Dr. only briefly a few minutes before the procedure when you are already sedated, have no choice or control, and are kicked out the back door as soon as they are done. They use "conscious sedation" which they say makes you comfortable, but for me it meant that I experienced severe pain, but was helpless and unable to speak to tell them. A very bad experience. My PCP said this was the only Dr. I could see. Afterwards, the insurance co. said I could have requested someone else, which I will do in the future. I also recommend doing research on the internet to inform yourself about the procedure, especially choices and effects of prep and sedation. read more
