I love Dr. Fu, and have been a patient of his for years, but I am done with this practice after dealing with the same shady billing practices I am reading about in other reviews. I went to another OB/GYN closer to my house, had the same lab work, and had no bill beyond my copay. From Women's Care, I received a bill for over $300. I called my insurance company and they said it is how Women's Care is coding things. I called them to discuss it and got no resolution. read more

To start, the doctors here are great BUT, all the 1 star reviews you see are true. The 2 main issues are time and money. Got an appointment? Doesn't matter, you will wait a long time, as they overbook. Billing department will also pressure and force you to pay upfront for appointments and a baby that you even haven't had yet! BE CAREFUL GETTING BLOODWORK HERE! They prey on patients not knowing that they must specify which lab to send blood results. If you do not specify, they will use the most expensive option. This place will stress you and your baby out. Shame on the greed. read more

Be wary of this group. I went there for routine well-woman exam & mammo. They called my insurance and told me that it was covered. then i got a bill for $3000!!!! They would not work with me and the insurnace company or take any responsability for the improper billing. So now i'm stuck with a $3000 bill. I set up a payment plan as I was not able to pay in full. They sent a second bill and sent me to collections when that bill was not paid even though i was advised that any new bills would be added to the payment plan. These people don't care about ther patients. They are merely customers to steal money from. Stay Away. read more

The doctors at the practice are incredibly kind but there are some incredibly shady practices in the billing department. They tell you to do labs onsite and that it will be billed to your insurance, but don't tell you that they send everything to their own lab - not the lab that your insurance approves - so you're stuck paying $300+ when your insurance refuses to cover. When you ask, they'll tell you that it's your responsibility to tell them what to do and where to send it. I've never had a doctors office do bloodwork this way and it's a joke. The office staff have no empathy and will drop the kindness once you have an issue. read more

Staff is kind but not considerate of your time. First appointment, waited an hour and 15 minutes to be seen. I asked 3 times if I would be seen soon and kept being told yes and it didn't happen. Only waited because my concerns are important to me. But things happen which I understand so I made another appointment and was told I would be seen on time. Called 15 minutes before to confirm and they said yes. Same thing happened. Worst place to come. Asking me to pay in full for my delivery at 12 weeks. They are giving me another 12 weeks, until 24 weeks, to pay $2200 which SUPPOSEDLY covers prenatal delivery and postpartum care, but not necessarily a trustworthy practice given that they want me to pay for a delivery that could potentially not even happen. Since you can't even carry a viable fetus until that point that they expect payment. Completely unethical practice to ask for women for thousands of dollars that I'm betting you would not get back if something happened to your unborn baby. Medical care has now become about dollar amount and not care for your patients. Ew. read more

5 Stars for a new facility and really great OBGYNs (big-ups to Dr. Merritt and Dr. Thatcher)! First off, the parking is located on the ground level, with an elevator leading up to the lobby on the second floor. The lobby is large, with tons of windows and plenty of seating. It has big, beautiful lighting fixtures and just makes you feel at ease. Besides the appearance, the front office staff was incredibly friendly as I checked in. I've had the chance to see both Dr. April Merritt and Dr. Parmelee Thatcher at this practice. Both are fantastic doctors, who take care to explain everything and make you feel comfortable (in a setting that can sometimes be uncomfortable due to the nature of the visit). I would recommend either of these kind, positive, and professional doctors. I'm really happy with this new office and everything about my visit helped put me at ease- from the ambiance, to the gentle nature of both the nurses and the doctors, to the way the individual exam rooms are clean, with little touches of comfort (including a small TV screen you face while you wait for the doctor to see you). The wait is short when you arrive and you'll receive a call to remind you about the appointment and confirm a day or two out. Really great new offices! read more

I had blood drawn at my yearly wellness visit - they told me that I could just get it done in the office rather than having to make an appt at Labcorp. As it turns out, I then received a very large bill from Women's Care AND a bill from Labcorp. The physician's name that the claim is attached to is Michael Wagoner. I don't even know who that is, but apparently he reads the labs. Funny thing though, I had a few abnormal labs, but NOBODY from Women's Care has contacted me about that. It really just seems like a complete money grab on their part, because if I had only gone to Labcorp, that would have been the only bill I received. Billing lady then told me that she doesn't show that Women's Care received the results...even more reason to have just gone straight to the lab. I did report the concern to my insurance company and they said that I need to contact the practice. However, I can't get an actual human on the phone from Women's Care to discuss this...the billing dept appears to be a 3rd party that just processes what the office submits, so they were of no help. **Elyse Breit that did my actual visit was great. I had an appointment scheduled today and when I went in, I was told that as of 5 days ago, they no longer take Cigna. I had seen a missed call earlier in the day from the practice that I couldn't answer while working and my voicemail was full but all of their other correspondence of importance has also been sent via email and text so I assumed it was just an appointment reminder (I had received a reminder text the day before to complete registration.) When I first walked in the office, there was a pregnant woman arguing with the receptionist about a change in billing. She heard my issue and when I went to leave, told me many people are leaving the practice due to billing and insurance issues. read more

I was a patient for 8 years and I love Dr.Chambers. But what this office did is just terrible business. I received a bill from 3 years ago stating I owe over $200. I've been to the office since the "service date" 3 times. Not once someone told me, hey, there is a balance on your account. Im registered on the "patient portal" and no where it says I own something, nor I ever received an email about it, but I do receive emails welcoming new doctors. Of course no call either. Upon calling the billing department, I was informed that this unpaid bill was a hair away from the collections and this was their last attempt to collect the money. I told the person that this was my first time receiving this bill and I asked, why wasn't I notified when I went to the office? The answer was, "Yes, they should have" and was told to call my insurance and see why it wasn't covered. Called insurance and was told that the doctors office never filed a claim for the given service date. The insurance attempted to contact the office, so they could file the claim and for the insurance to possibly consider covering it, since it's outside the date range. But there were crickets. I called Women's care few days later, as I was concerned this will go to the collections, and was told that they won't file, since it's outside of the date range. The lady on the phone sounded, like she could not care less about anything I was saying. I told her thank you. I hung up. I paid the bill. I canceled my upcoming appointment. Done. If you care about your credit history, I advise you to stay away! read more

They call, text and email for about two weeks with no mention of patient balances. I scheduled an annual appointment, took time off of work, and I was turned away by the front desk. I'm deeply hurt and disappointed in the way I was treated by intake staff and the doctor concerning my stillbirth from a few years ago. The woman doing the intake was a midlde aged blonde lady, and she said the exact weeks and used the term "my baby" like I had forgotten when taking my information. I just wept and she did nothing but dryly say sorry. Then, to add insult to injury, the doctor came in and asked me if I had given birth before minutes after. Why didn't the intake woman take 2 seconds to say something? Shame on you!! I'll have to be on fire and dying to come back to this place again. I didn't get the woman's name, but I wish I did so I could contact her personally. I hope in the future you'll really care for women, and not treat them like cogs in an assembly line. I love the atmosphere from the time you walk in you're greeted and made to feel welcomed. All the staff was pleasant and helpful. Dr. Chambers was a delight she was full of energy and good cheer. My favorite part of the visit is that she took the time to talk and get to know me. All my questions and concerns were answered. I was able to do imaging and blood work all in the same day. Amazing office. I had a bad experience at another branch of Women's Care, but I am so glad I found this branch. I came for my first visit prepregnancy in May 2021. Saw Dr. Quyen Nguyen and she was great! Got pregnant within 3 months and came back. Super easy going and helpful at all appointments. It's super nice to have the labs here as well. I have been seeing Dr. Chambers for years now. I can honestly say I am excited to go to the gynecologist every year Dr. Chambers and my favorite nurse, Michelle, make you feel like you are their best friend. It's amazing that I go once a year and they remember everything going on in my life and we have such a great relationship. I am rating this strictly based on my experience as a new patient. First, the office is difficult to find. And the parking is difficult to find as well, due to the construction that is going on. Since they are located underneath the highway. I would suggest that they at least make their new patients aware and perhaps email a small map, or at least a state "we are under the highway, it may be difficult to find us due to construction. Please give yourself extra time." (That's called caring about your patients/customers) Second- after getting lost due to the lack of communication- I also came in and was told I needed to pay $350 prior to being seen. Not sure that is the proper policy for ANY doctors office. I have never come across this. It's not about having to pay, obviously payment is needed when services are rendered. But i didn't receive any services. Additionally, the patient should be aware prior to arriving. I work in the healthcare field myself and our patients are well aware of the fees and payment due prior to arriving to our office. This was unprofessional and demonstrates an atmosphere where they lack care for their patients. I will not be returning. read more

Love this place!! I mean going to the OBGYN is probably not the best thing you can think about doing during the year but I never dread coming here - I love it here. There is a doctor here for everyone - most expertise and most ethnicities if your looking for someone specific. I got to Dr. Cherish Chambers who is a God send!! I Don't know here from Adam but she makes me feel like family - she leads with hugs and follows up with a smile. Both her and her Nurse Michelle are everything!!!! Dr. Chambers has smiled with me, frowned with me, and has even almost cried with me - and I've only been going there 2 years. What I like the most is that she's honest- she gives the facts and all the options. She leads with caution, at least with me she does and; with options that are the least invasive first - creating the least problems in the long run. If she's not comfortable with a specific topic or procedure she's say that and refer it out. And refers with confidence which makes me even more confident in the matter. Dr. Chambers is awesome and Michelle is nurse is the most kind person. I'm writing this and feeling overwhelmed with gratitude on how a doctor and nurse can make you feel so at home in a doctors office... weird right. But that's how I feel about this location and my doctor there. - do t get the wrong the East office is awesome too. great overall establishment The front desk staff are so sweet. Wither walking in or calling over the phone I've never had any craziness. Oh and Carry the ultrasound tech -another wonderful person. She really tries her best to remember people even though she only sees most once a year. The phlebotomy people are great - very gentle and I've never gotten a bruise. I've been a patient of Dr. Scott's for about 7 years. I used to see him before he was with this "Women's Care Florida" group. I still really like Dr. Scott, but I like his office less now that he's a part of this group. I must say the office is beautiful. It is located under the 408 downtown so there is always shaded parking. The office is new, modern and clean. They offer services in house, which is very convenient, like ultrasounds. The staff are all very nice- front desk, lab, nurses. I guess I just preferred the homey closeness of his office prior to him joining the group. Before everyone knew you and you knew everyone. You could rest assured that Dr. Scott would be the doctor you got, not just someone in the group. But I digress... I was initially referred to Dr. Scott by someone I would consider an expert, my RT sister who works at Winnie Palmer. She has been at the hospital for 20+ years so knows all the dirt on all the doctors. Dr. Scott has a calming demeanor, no non sense approach and I never feel rushed. He hung out with me in the labor room at 10:30pm (he'd been at the hospital all day- I know because I'd been induced that morning). He was great in every way. I definitely recommend Dr. Scott and if you had never seen the old office you'll probably love the new one. read more

Secondly seems this practice is more interested in the actual reimbursement they shall receive than the actual patient themselves. Went to see Dr. Snow for an annual. I'm so happy they take my insurance and accept new patients. My appointment was at 4pm; arrived at 3:55 and was out by 4:17. Super fast! The entire staff was welcoming and made the whole experience a pleasant one. Dr. Snow and the nurse made me feel comfortable, making small talk during the exam to get my mind off of the not-so-comfortable bits. I'm am VERY disappointed with the service. I have been scheduled two times. Upon arriving for my first appointment I was told that the scheduler had made a mistake for their Waterford location when it was supposed to be for DT. I know people make mistakes and so I let it go even though I took PTO. Today I called to just follow up and confirm my appointment and AGAIN they scheduled my appointment incorrectly. I was referred to this establishment by a friend and all I have gotten is horrible service. It is extremely frustrating to have to deal with situations like this. read more

If you're young and have strong fertility without any underline health problems, and super smooth pregnancy process, then you probably will be okay here( and you will be okay going anywhere else). The reason being that the ob doctors and nurses will most likely follow their routines. However, the moment that you're identified as not as the usual healthy pregnant, the ugly side starts showing. You will be contacted by them about the medical term of complications, but no details explained or follow up be recommended. Nervously and naturally, you go online and search for what you have, guess what, the nurse will blame you for doing so because "it's not from the doctor's notes". Or worse in my situation, they were not checking all the routines in my early trimester, and the symptoms I discovered in my third trimester could result in stillborn due to their careless mistakes. This is the worst nightmare for every expected moms, and there is still no explanation or follow up from the office! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!!!! read more

I was a patient there for many years. Scheduled my mammograms with them because it is offered in house. Well, not true. The technician is in house and your scans go to someplace else. When trying to make my yearly mammogram appointment early it was suggested by this 3rd party, I should not get a mammogram 3 months early. So, womans care would not schedule me a appointment. I was never asked if I was having any problems just told no. I also don't feel I should have to discuss every issue with a scheduler for a appointment. There is privacy issues and they should just get the general information. I have since found a new doctor and feel so worried knowing now, the 3rd party contracted company reading our scans for mammograms are not even here in Florida. Who knows if they are even being read by a radiologist with the company having the ACR symbol. I wish they would have disclosed this information to me and I would have went elsewhere. I was never informed That my Mammograms go out of state to be read. They are also infringing on a woman's right to not make appointments for her health because of a opinion of someone who knows nothing about my health. Silver lining, I know all of this now and made the best decision to find a practice that is trustworthy and understands my needs, not the opinions of a 3rd party contacted company. In my opinion, they have gotten too big and It all boils down to contracts and money. You are not a patient but a number. Larger numbers equal larger profits and customer and patient care is not there. read more

It had been 7 yrs since I've been to a GYN & thought it was finally time to find one due to some health concerns. So, I decided to try this office. I always drove past it on the way to take my daughter to Dr. Phillips Performing Center, so I walked in one day and decided to make an app't. The front desk told me I should see Dr. Fritz since she was available the soonest. I read good reviews on a few other dr.'s but they were booked! I read some bad ones on this Dr. Fritz, but was kind of desperate at this point, and figured maybe they were exaggerating a little. I've had 4 visits with Dr. Emma Fritz at this location and never had a great experience and well...expect to be at this office for 1 1/2- 2 hrs. They make you WAIT & do not care! After the first visit, I already had a bad vibe and didn't want to return, but they are good at convincing you how important it is to have these tests done & try to be sure that I was healthy. I never had high blood pressure, but I'm sure I probably do now! Dr. Fritz's nurse is the worst! She is so robotic, and inconsiderate nurse I've ever met. I haven't been at this office since 3/31st. They also tried to bill me for a co pay when I've always paid my copay on each day I've visited this office! Their billing said it was a mistake after I called them. They didn't even apologize! Both the Dr. and nurse have terrible bedside manners. The front desk staff are not friendly at all. I never plan to return to this office, They are just hungry for money! STAY CLEAR FROM DR. FRITZ! Even though I've read nice reviews about other dr.'s at this office, I won't return here. TODAY is 6/22nd & I received a certified letter in the mail from Dr. Fritz reminding ME that I need to make time to call and schedule for a follow up app't. HA! FOR WHAT! REALLY?!! I already had a pap smear, blood work, urine work, ultrasound, mammogram, and biopsy done...AND all the results were NEGATIVE! So WHY do I need to come back to this office?! OH! I know! Wow! I'm a new patient, recently moved here and had been searching for a great practice especially since we are planning on having a second child. I was pleasantly surprised to see how beautiful this office is. Location is unique(under the 408 downtown) but plenty of shady parking in the mornings. The waiting room is modern, clean and large. There are bathrooms in waiting areas and a baby changing room. The new patient paperwork was done all online through a secure patient portal and they took a photo at check on for my file. The office staff were very friendly which is not always the case at doctor offices. Dr. April Merritt was wonderful. Very personable. She met with me in her office to discuss my medical history and family plans int he future. I did not have to wait long for my exam and the test result were available to check in my online account within 7 days. read more

I just had my 1st Pap in 2 years and I have seen good doctors before but Dr. Scott and his assistant Rosaline were both excellent. They explained everything at least twice and I did not even have to ask. Gentle touch, excellent listeners, provided requested referrals and not rushed at all.
