Stone Arts Ltd Granite Worktops
I have recently used Stone Arts in Southampton to supply and…read morefit a large amount of granite in my kitchen in Rownhams. I shopped around quite a bit getting quotes and samples from both local suppliers and online suppliers and was so pleased that I came across Rakesh and Stone Arts. In all key areas such as price, quality and professional advice Rakesh was so much better than anyone else I dealt with. Rakesh spent ages talking and advising me and used his considerable expertise to help me make the right decision on what type of granite would look best with the kitchen I had chosen. I went with Star Galaxy in the end and having seen samples of Star Galaxy from other suppliers I couldn't believe the vast difference in quality. Not only did Rakesh have the best quality Star Galaxy he also had it at the best price! Rakesh liaised closely with the person installing my kitchen and gave invaluable advice on how to fit the kitchen so that the weight of the granite would be best supported. When it came to fitting the granite Rakesh and his team arrived promptly, were friendly, tidy and absolute perfectionists. I love that when dealing with Stone Arts you are dealing with the man who owns the business and has incredibly high standards. If he wouldn't have it in his kitchen it isn't going in yours!

The staff are really knowledgable and helpful and will do there best to help in any way they can. They have helped me out on nemerous occasions when I have come in here looking for obscure sized batteries or DIY equipment. As well as DIY equipment they also sell such things as batteries, lights, kitchen equipment, household goods and they also cut keys. Their prices are really reasonable, often cheaper than the big DIY shops.

What does surprise me is how they manage to translate some of the customer requests into any form of sense?! If you've ever stood in the envariable, short but fast moving, queue to pay you'll have heard it :O) There's no hard sell here and they'll always be my preference as opposed going to some large faceless DIY store...and even if they are not cheaper (which they are in most cases!) when you take into account the fuel for getting to Weston or Bridgwater your better off going here instead....parking being the only problem if you want to buy anything large/heavy/awkward. Good luck to Darren/Phil/Kelly & Denise and hope they keep doing what they're doing! Mark PS: Why do pensioners HAVE to go shopping at weekends since they really should leave these days for those of us who work all week and who's time is precious & (mostly) we know what we want to buy..rest assured you won't see me shopping at weekends when I hit 66 :o)

They also sell some larger items such as patio slabs, fence panels etc. They offer local delivery but there is a charge. There are usually a couple of young members of staff outside to assist with loading the car and getting items down from on racks. The staff are all very helpful and polite although they do look very scruffy but I guess it is a job where you would get very dirty. There is plenty of parking available at the shop.
