Wolf Pond Bay stretches out on both sides of Hylan, and it has a number of very different faces: there is the woodland pretty dense and refreshing in summer with paths going up and down the hills, and with a long, dreamlike lake on the south side. There is the 'Polish zone'. This is mainly a large parking lot surrounded by patches of parkland, where mainly Polish families come on weekends to pick nick.
And then, there's the beach. As crowded as the parking lot may be, the beach is always quiet, and the view is beautiful: it really is a bay, with a settlement of houses planted haphazardly among the trees on the left side. Here, you find beautiful small pebbles, and the swimming is good. I always heard that the East Coast had a cold Gulf Stream while Europe has a warm one, but I can assure you that the water is surprisingly warm much warmer than the North Sea and this from June until well into autumn.
