It starts about 1:30, it is indoors but no AC. They do have fans blowing so it's not unbearable but the July August months are pretty warm. They sell things like chickens, peacocks, turkeys, rabbits, ducks, geese, pot belly pigs, pigeons, donkeys, and little misc items. You honestly never really know what they are going to have. After the small animal auction, they move outside and sell whatever someone brings that is to large to bring in like this week a guy brought a 2 ton grain bin. After that they start selling goats and sometimes some fruits and vegetables. Although I don't stay for the horses, I think they start selling tack at 5:30 and horses at 7:00 or something like that. My wife and i go all the time and although it sounds a little funny, we have a great time. This week we came home with a baby bunny and 15 baby ducks. It's great to live on a farm :)

I don't think people realize how difficult it is to sort through the incredible amount of items that they handle on a weekly basis. They sort and place items that should be sold together, and their photography and presentation are top notch. Some items brought more than we thought they would, and some items brought less. Anyone that gets upset at the value they receive from an auction, doesn't understand the process. Black and Gold simply acts as a facilitator to bring buyers and sellers together. If your item didn't bring what you thought it should, the buying public didn't think it was worth much. This group does a great job of maximizing value, and I would highly recommend them when you need to liquidate your items.

This included a Shanghai collection headboard, footboard, armoire, dresser, two nightstands, and a table. All in good condition, minus a few scratches. I waited over a month and nothing. I finally contacted them and they sent me a check for $56. The $56 was for the two nightstands, table, dresser. My armoire, they said, had a broken leg, so they sold it for $5. This is not true. I was using the armoire the day before it was delivered and there was NEVER a problem with any of the legs, it was worth at the very least $50. They never even sent me the $5! I've tried inquiring about the headboard and footboard since last fall. Everytime I call, I'm told they'll get back to me. They've never called me back. I feel ripped off, cheated. My furniture was worth more than $56. I will never, ever use nor recommend Osage Action Barn again

After relocating back to the Midwest, and wanting to reclaim my passion for attending auctions, I asked my fiancé if he wanted to see what a real auction house was like; the passion the auctioneer has and the knowledge of most items which are also dealt with respect, not flea market/garage sale style. I was NOT disappointed!!! and my fiancé enjoyed it so much!! Not only on a professional level is this auction house wonderful but also on a personal level!!! Very welcoming. I would recommend them, but veterans should obtain several official loan estimates beyond Navy Federal and USAA and compare rates, fees, points, and lender credits before committing. Brice's service and rapport ultimately saved the deal.
