When I called to follow up and make an appointment, I spoke to Donna, who lied and told me "we haven't received the referral yet - we'll call you when we receive it." I know that was a lie because my PCP is very thorough and faxed the referral last Thursday - with transmission confirmation. I had them re-fax the referral on Friday after calling to set up the appointment. I waited until Monday late afternoon before calling again. Once again I was told by Donna, that "we haven't received the referral yet." When I pressed more and indicated that my PCP had confirmed that the faxes each transmitted successfully, I was put on hold. When Donna came back, she said "both the orthopedist and neurologist have reviewed your referral, and there is nothing we can do to help you. We've released the referral back to your PCP." Really? Without seeing me for a proper evaluation, you know that there's nothing you can do? I've been in chronic pain for the better part of a year, to the point where I can't sit comfortably, and there's nothing you can do? I find this not only unprofessional, but I've never heard of it happening. Sounds like they just don't want to see any new patients. My advice - go somewhere else that takes you and your pain seriously.

Fixed it... No more pain! The 2nd procedure was again, arthroscopic surgery on my right knee also for a torn meniscus. This time the surgery was performed at the NASC (Nashua Ambulatory Surgical Center) right next to the NH Orthopaedic Center on Riverside St. Nashua.. What a tremendous facility and crew! I was very impressed. Kudos to the prep nurse Cindy, the anesthesiologist, Bill Kelly and nurse Celine. In at 6:30am and out by 10am. All without the drama of the hospital.
