They make sure they have eyes on all the kids making sure they are on their best behavior making sure their is no issues. Not to forget Shelley the attendance lady is always kind over the phone and has a lot of patience with all her phone calls to make sure she answers any questions we have . Highly recommend this school for all elementary students and the campus has a great team that keeps the school clean as possible. My kids have been coming here for now 4 years and will say it's been the best experience. Thanks so much mrs.lines for being a great role model for our students. They do announce minutes for 15 minutes in the morning teaching the kids on how to learn and interact with one another and always be in your best behavior. Every morning they teach kids to be a leader and I really like that. My daughter two days ago was standing in front of the students and was able to do the pledge of allegiance with confidence and was very proud of her. This school has the kids using the latest technology, opportunities for the kids to participate in music classes, art, singing, dancing, public speaking. My only concern with this school is that there seems to be a high turnover in staff. This is the school's 3rd year and several teachers have left each year, the principal recently left and the vice principal.

The academics are quite challenging, the teachers are exceptional, and the principal, specialists, and office staff have been incredibly welcoming and supportive from day one --truly invested in their students' success. My kids transferred from another school last year and have exceeded every expectation. Both came in with IEPs and received excellent, consistent support. My daughter has since moved on to Rancho Del Rey and continues to thrive thanks to the foundation she built at Heritage. This school was highly recommended by my family members who work in education, and it has absolutely lived up to that reputation.

My daughter was bullied and attacked enough to cause bruises. Knots in her forehead and dirt thrown in her hair and face. With no consequences to the bully. After several investigations they did find that the child was bullying my daughter- but due to privacy laws that protect bullies - apparently I can't know what those consequences are. So if you want to ever feel safe for your child, find a neighboring school. Tragic. Even though now we jus transferred her school I can't help but feel sadden by the way things were handle or lack their of. Theirs no real structure or safety plans- rather only being told " what do you want to do "..... as confusing as it was that they allow this to continue when I had time after time said this is what is happening please watch out for my child- the bully was still allowed to follow my daughter and increasingly hurt and attack her, mostly because their was no real punishment (mind you their in kindergarten) or consequences. this lax attitude from staff and principal is what allowed it to continue and get worst day by day. no sense of urgency or justice for my sweet girl.
