The food here is not good. Not sure what we expected from a place called "Wok On," but the live music and the outdoor seating was what lured us in.
I ordered the rice noodle dish and was told it could be made vegan with tofu, no egg, and a garlic and pepper sauce. My food was bland, the cabbage was raw and crunchy, the tofu tasted like it had been cooked by someone who had no idea what to do with it, and the rice noodles were al dente. Worst of all, when my plate was initially served, there was very obviously large pieces of egg that the server didn't catch. If you have life-threatening allergies, be aware that they won't take your dietary restrictions seriously.
Ultimately my poor experience had to do with the hot and cold service. Our server was super friendly when trying to persuade us to eat here but then seemed like she lost interest in us after we had ordered. She didn't apologize for the error made with my food or the extra time it took to make another, didn't offer us any sort of discount or compensation for the inconvenience, didn't ever ask us if we needed anything or how our food was, and we didn't even get a goodbye as she took away my signed receipt.
My husband did enjoy his questionably authentic rice noodle dish with chicken, and that's why this place isn't getting only one star from me. read more
