I'm a big fan of enterprising retailers - and used to be a regular customer of this particular business. However, after a sizable furniture purchase & serious quality issue, Ive changed my mind. One would think that spending $3000 on a quality leather item, (backed by a supposed 10 year warranty), the item would last. Yet after just a few weeks, the poor workmanship really showed through. this wasn't a cheap import, rather, a claimed craftsmanship, locally built item. I called the store to advise of the fault, the salespersons "quick remedy" was to supply me with a bag of stuffing, to place myself. I said then in the store - this wont fix the issue. Still, I was coerced into fixing the issue on my own. When this remedy didn't work - I again contacted the store. They promptly arranged collection, & supposedly made repairs. After a few days home, the issue reappeared. I called the store again, and finally convinced the Manager to come to my home to see the issue. He agreed that the matter was serious, and agreed that their 2 attempts to remedy the issue had failed.
I am now left with a 6 month old piece of furniture that is unusable. I will not ever shop at Wohlers again for "quality" - sure, the coffee is nice, the nick knacks serve those who need that stuff, however I do not recommend that you buy their over priced, poor quality furniture.
and, another thing - the same item at Nick Scali Furniture resides in excellent condition after 2 years, in my lounge room, showing no sign of the poor quality of the Wohlers item that lasted just a few weeks. read more
