Horrible experience. We sat for well over an hour, about two and we're never treated. The woman at registration greeted us politely at the door and immediately took our information. After finishing registration she said okay you can go have a seat and they'll get to you whenever they can. There were four people ahead of us. After us came in a young white male, an African America woman and she was registered immediately and told it would be at least an hour so if she wanted to go run errands she could. The woman opted to go get food and come back. After she left approximately four other patients were register and seated. Every person who entered before us and after us had been called back and we also saw some be treated and leave. All of them were Caucasian. Why was the African American woman told she'd have to wait and hour and I'm watching white patients walk in, register and be called back within 15 minutes? We were the only people in the waiting room and we opted to leave. The woman who registered us immediately said y'all have good day. Not oh wait they'll be with you soon, not are you coming back, not, hold on let me see where you are in line, not I'm so sorry do you want to come in later or tomorrow morning. None of that. We received y'all have a good day. Hmmmmm I honestly had a negative feeling upon entering going there. My gut said no and I went anyway. Don't run the insurance as if we were treated. We never made it past the waiting room. I would have given zero stars for had I been able to. I highly do not recommend. read more

They advertise as an alternative to the Emergency Room and website says they treat lacerations. Went there with my son to get treatment (suspected he needed stitches) for deep cut on hand. They looked at it, then told us they could not provide adequate treatment there and to go to the ER, which was the obvious next step, which we did. Then they sent a bill for $405!!! I called to complain that this was an unreasonable charge for not receiving any medical care at all! They sent debt collectors after me. What a hassle on top of wasting time at their clinic during an acute need for medical care. Will definitely never go there again no matter how long I might have to wait elsewhere!!! read more

Great Immediate Care location! I've been here a few times over the last few years, once was for an issue that needed stitches, another for a test, and now for a broken finger. The nurses and the doctors are extremely nice and helpful. Everyone up front who helps you with paperwork and what not are also super polite! The waiting room is always clean, windows are always open for some great light. There's a kid's section with small chairs for them to sit on along with games and a TV. For the adults, there are loads of chairs and sofa chairs, along with a Keurig coffee maker and a TV. It seems like lots of previous reviewers have given low reviews because of personal/insurance issues. Simply put - if you don't have health insurance, or have insane copays, expect the repercussions. That has nothing to do with Immediate Care themselves. I'd totally recommend this location. I don't know why more patients don't use these types of care facilities. It keeps the lines at ERs down, cuts down on unnecessary prognosis', and is also WAY more one on one with the doctors and nurses. read more

I think that they do a good job here, wait times aren't too bad and they offer a service to the community without sending more people unnecessarily to the emergency room. I've been here and other locations for multiple different situations and I've always left feeling like I was at least taken care of. To a point care is always going to be limited here, you are a new patient every time and they don't have the relationship that a doctor or primary care physician has with you. Good place and asset if you need help and you can't get to the doctor's office. read more

I chose to go to Immediate Care because they say they accept walk ins. I did attempt to make an appointment ahead of time, but my visit was not COVID related and all the options involved COVID. When I arrived, the staff at the Depew location were incredibly rude and basically walked away when I tried to explain why I didn't make an appointment. They didn't offer any help and said they were booking into tomorrow. The whole reason I chose to go to an urgent care is that I was sent by my PMD, who also had no appointments. I would never go back and would discourage people from choosing Immediate Care. read more

The nurse and doctor I dealt with were extremely nice and helpful. The front desk staff on the other hand was unbelievably rude and impatient. They would interrupt me anytime I asked a question. They are just miserable and rude. I get it, COVID is stressing everyone out, but their horrible attitude isn't going to help anything. If you can't handle the stress that comes with a front desk job in health care then go apply somewhere else. And shame on whoever hires these people. read more

I have never been a huge fan of urgent care as I like to know my physician more when I'm being treated, but I have always had great experiences here. When you walk in the place is absolutely stunning and very welcoming. The check is process is fairly easy, both electronically and when you meet with the desk staff. The longest I've had to wait was 30 minutes, and that was simply because someone else was getting x-rays at the time. All of the physicians here are qualified and take the time to really figure out what is going on. Sometimes in a high volume clinic you get Doctors that seem uninterested, but here I've never experienced that. The only critique I have is that if you go towards the later times some of the nurses seem a bit aggravated you are there. Although, if someone came rushing into my clinic 10 minutes before closing after a long day I probably would be frustrated as well. read more

I have had nothing but good experiences at this location. From the front desk to the nurse and physicians assistants and doctor's it has all been great! My only complaint is the method to enter your birth date by scrolling back a month at a time. Once you get to be old like me it takes a very long time to enter it. read more

I created an appointment for today because I am staying with my grandparents who are very concerned about Covid. No questions were asked before I arrived there. When I get there they make me wait 15 minutes then ask if I've been around anyone with symptoms of Covid. I say yes Sunday which is 4 days ago. They say I have to wait 5 days and to come back tomorrow. So I leave and my mother calls and asks "if someone who has no symptoms and been around no one with covid, are they able to get a test whenever?" They respond with yes. So please someone tell me where the common sense is to give a test right away to someone who has been around no one with symptoms but I've been around someone with symptoms but I have to wait a certain amount of days. read more

The service was just Okay a bit rude but with Covid that can be expected. However where they stink and dinged my credit rating was their billing department. They said they would send me a bill if there was one, they never did so my expectation was my insurance covered it. So I get a bill from their collection agency HHRG. I owe them money. WHAT! I unfortunately had a very negative experience with this provider, I was baited and switched. I visited WNY Immediate care (On Transit road by Losson in Cheektowaga/Depew) back in February 2017 with a soar throat / possible concern of strep throat. I am on a co-pay/low deductible plan ($600).and decided I would go visit them (and call MASH - who turned out to be less expensive based on phone conversation) to find out who would be more affordable for my visit since quality is likely similar. Keep in mind, I deal with sicknesses usually and work right through it, I was planning on going home to sleep it off and getting a taste solely for peace of mind of my co-workers. I walked up to the counter and spoke with a front desk / billing associate who briefly asked about my visit then about my health insurance. I presented my ID card and she reviewed the front and then scanned it with her system. I asked her how much it would cost today, she assured me it would be a $35 specialist co-pay and they would bill it as such. She stated this with absolute confidence. I then proceeded to say, "Great, I'll pay it now." She declined to take my credit card, and to me that triggered a concern. I asked her again, "Are you sure this is only going to be $35?" she re-affirmed and said they will just bill for it, instead of collecting it up front. I found that odd, so I may have asked one more time, yielding the same answer. By this time, I made my decision it would be of value to me to go through this visit for $35. Fast-forward a month and a half, sure enough, I receive a bill in the mail for $245. I immediately contact the billing office to discuss it and voiced my concerns, the associate agreed with me that it was unfortunate, then provided me the name and e-mail for her supervisor, Karen as she immediately knew this was out of her control. I e-mailed with Karen several days later, questioning my bill, she asked if I was on a high deductible plan and explained how this would be part of my deductible if I was, for which I am responsible for, completely different tune from what I was advised of at the office. No one denied the statement that was given to me the day of my visit, "$35 co-pay." After trying to obtain relief on my situation from Karen, I was offered at 25% discount on my bill, for which I appreciate because of the inconvenience, however, the visit is still not worth $183.75. to me. I came away with a good bill of health and I would've never had gone through with that visit had I known the investment I would be responsible for. Karen referred me to the office manager or administrator for WNY Immediate Care (Mary?), unfortunately I did not receive any relief from my communications with Mary except deflecting and attempts at validating my feelings. She had made the assumption that I participate in a high deductible health plan, and she tried to empathize by explaining her experience with high deductible plans; I explained that I am familiar with health insurance and I am on a Gold co-pay plan with a small deductible through my employer, it's not a high deductible plan. She told me to use my HSA Account to pay for it, and I told her my plan doesn't make me eligible for HSA, because I don't have a high deductible plan. After falsely empathizing with me (and not even looking up my health plan), she then explained to me in her review, she noticed that the health insurance / office billing system was down that day, and the original front desk associate would've been going off the front of my card only, and it was my responsibility to advise them that I am on high deductible plan (again, wrong assumption.) Basically, at this point I realized I was not going to receive any financial relief on my bill, and will be responsible for the entire bill and not the amount communicated to me at the time of my visit. If I knew any better, I would classify this as "Bait & Switch." I would not recommend this office to anyone, there are many choices for your healthcare these days, and the billing practices here just left a bitter pill in my mouth. Very disappointed with the handling of my situation by WNY Immediate care, their billing department and their office staff. No one wanted to take responsibility for this mistake. I honestly feel as if I was cheated out of $150, I will be filing a claim with the BBB additionally. FYI to Immediate care: as a healthcare provider, you assume the responsibility to understand even the most basic principles and operating procedures for the market for which you participate in: "For a plan to be classified as a high deductible health insurance plan, the following requirements must be met: Minimum deductible: $1,250 individual; $2,500 family" read more

First impression when you walk in is a gorgeous, fresh, and clean facility. Everything is brand new and top of the line (from the very large computer touch monitors you sign in at to the Keurig machine in the waiting room). And the waiting room is separated into about three different areas...all equipped with TV's, magazines, tables, chairs, anti bacterial hand gel. Nothing about this place feels cold and clinical. I was in and out under 45 minutes when I visited. Rapid checkin, give insurance card, called and met with medical assistant, and then seen by doctor. I had an eye infection and was immediately given an eye drop prescription and on my way. No long waits in the waiting room or exam room. Every one I encountered was pleasant and friendly. I am so glad for these new places - such a better alternative to the ER (for something more serious), or your regular primary care (like in my case was by appt. only and farther/out of my way). read more

Didn't clear up completely, went back the next week to be told its viral and will clear up in a week (even though it was now over 2 weeks). And he said the previous provider shouldn't have treated me with antibiotics- he will have a talk with her about it. WOW. Very arrogant and unprofessional. read more

I took my husband there yesterday for care and the wait was 2 hrs which we were told when we checked in but the wait in the examination room was another 45 minutes! While we listened to the staff sitting around and joking/laughing at the nurses station. We also overheard the PA was so busy because the Doctor was not there yet! I thought it's New York State law a physician has to be present while a PA sees patients! The PA also sent a script for an antibiotic to his pharmacy which was closed and when we called WNY Immediate Care they refused to resend it to an open pharmacy. Today he could have seen his primary physician and saved time and money! read more

The secretary's are very sweet. The nurse also very nice. The doctor made me feel uncomfortable with his cold demeanor. Wrong diagnosis is what I found out after I went to me own dr. My experience here was wonderful. The facility is lovely. There is a very large waiting area with a few sections, including a separate section for kids with toys and a tv just for them. There is a large aquarium and complimentary coffee that made the wait very pleasant. Seating, decor, computers, and all equipment seemed very new and up to date. It took about an hour to get in and out, which I thought was quite good for an urgent care facility but the doctor, nurse, and receptionist all apologized to me for the wait and thanked me for my patience. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt well taken care of. All staff made sure to answer all of my questions and wished me well. I am very happy I was able to walk in and be treated for my sinus infection after work (when my doctor's office was closed). I will definitely return in the future for quick and convenient service. read more

The nurses and doctors were so rude to me. Telling me I don't even know why you came in you have only been sick for 4 days usually people come in after being sick for 7. The nurse was the rudest when asking me what was wrong with me she could care less about helping me she just wanted to be done with me and move on the the next. Let me first start off by saying I went here because I was told they were a very nice facility and I assumed they knew what they were doing. Well I was there on Tuesday June 25th 2013. I had a fever upset stomach and I was vomiting and a very very sore lower back.. I was seen right away. At NO POINT was my temp taken, even after I told them I had a fever that would not break since Monday June 24th. I was "examined" by the Dr and he said I had a stomach virus. Gave me a RX to help reduce the vomiting and I was sent on my way. By Noon on Weds June 26th I was extremely worse, Still had the High fever 103.9 still vomiting and unable to keep anything in. I went to the emergency room, there I was immediately taken back treated for severe dehydration with IV fluids (EIGHT BAGS) by the time I was discharged and a chest XRAY showed I had an extremely severe case of Pneumonia , something that IC would have seen on Tuesday If they had bothered to give me an Xray. Also my blood count was down to 7 (normal is 12-14) Therefore I needed an immediate blood transfusion, two units. I was extremely ill Spent two nights and three days in the Hospital. So my advise to anyone seeking anything other then a band-aid PLEASE go to the ER. I am still recovering from my illness. The Hospital was outraged that no xrays or no blood was taken while at IC. I will NEVER go to any of these locations again. Extremely disappointed. read more

Check in was easy. But this place lacks. I only went here because it was New Year's Day & my primary was closed. Plus I was leaving for a vacation the next day & I knew I was going to need antibiotics. I was called into the back, the nurse took my vitals, asked what's wrong, did a strep test & asked if I'm allergic to any medication. A PA came into the room. She said my rapid strep test was negative & did a quick exam. She said I had rhinosinusitis & a viral upper respiratory infection. I was sick but not sick enough for antibiotics. I tried telling her it was more then that & These are my symptoms when I have this type of infection. I also explained I was leaving the next day on vacation out of state & was worried I would not have access to medical care because where I was going is remote. She tells me she's not debating her medical diagnosis with me because I'm not a Dr & can't have a medical opinion, she told me my vitals are stable so I'm not that sick, to see my Dr in a few days if I don't improve & refused to give antibiotics, told me to take Claritin, a cold med & a nasel spray. I told her I'm not able to take a cold med because of a health condition. Which she would of known if a complete medical history was taken. She told me she was not changing her medical diagnosis. What I had was viral, gave a speech about antibiotic resistance & left. Then the office employee came in to discharge me & go over her instructions. A office employee is not a nurse & should not be going over discharge instructions with patients. I told her I was not satisfied with the care & I was told what I have is viral, antibiotics would not help & patients like me cause antibiotic resistance. I left disgusted with the lack of care I received. A couple hours later a family member that is a head RN in a local er stopped by my home took a look at me & was insistent that I go to the er to be checked out because I was so sick. The DR in the er did a examination & said it was a good thing my family member made me go into the er because my tonsils were so infected they were covered in pus & would of abscessed in another day & I would of then been admitted to the hospital. I left the er Diagnosed with a sinus & tonsil infection. EXACTLY what I told the PA at immediate care I had. I also left with 4 different scripts to treat the infections. There is no way I suddenly became that sick in a couple of hours time. I was just as sick when I was seen at immediate care. The PA 110% misdiagnosed me. She is a HORRIBLE medical provider. She is to full of ego & her title to actually listen to patients. I'm glad I did question her diagnosis & went to the local er to receive the PROPER & CORRECT medical care. Shame on you immediate care for the subpar inadequate medical care your medical staff provided. In the future I'll stay as far away from your facility & medical providers as possible!!! read more

This place really downed my day. Since moving out to Depew, I'm not as close to my primary as I'd like to be, so I always saw and kept this place in mind when driving, you know, in case I'm ever in a pinch. Well I recently had that day. Strep throat is going around at work and I leave for vacation in two days. Last night, I had a quick onset of a sore throat and temperature. My primary is such a busy place, I knew they wouldn't be able to squeeze me in before the holiday and who wants to be on vacation without the meds they (might) need. So, I went to Immediate Care on Transit in Cheektowaga around 10:30am. It's a beautiful facility, large and clean. Check in was quick and only had 3 other patients before I would be called. People were brought back quickly. I had forgotten my phone at home this day and didn't bother going back because I thought I'd be in and out for a strep swab in under an hour, right? WRONG. After getting into the private room and having the nurse take my swab, she stated it would be "7 minutes for a rapid strep kit to show results". I'm thinking, okay this is great, I'll be out soon. So she left, and I'm waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Mind you I don't have a phone to pass the time, nor is there a clock in this room. I'm getting annoyed now because this "seven minute" test is now taking 45 minutes it feels. Then I start to doubt myself thinking, ehh maybe I'm exaggerating the time. Eventually a PA comes in, looks at my throat, and says "based on the rapid strep test and your throat, I agree with each one and say no strep". So now, I say "okay, great! By the way, what's the time?" This PA says, 12:15pm. I felt compelled to write this review because waiting almost 2 hours for swab and a "seven minute" test took much longer than it should have. I had so much to get done this late morning and the 2 hours at Immediate Care really messed that up. Please change your practice's name, because there is no immediate care being given. Also, while I sat in my private room for all that time, I was right outside of the nurse's station and could hear a handful of people either saying A) how she was in the hospital for her migraines and how the visit was a nightmare. Or B) the one woman that couldn't get into part of the software system so starts throwing the F word around. They sounded miserable and unprofessional. I get it's stressful. I work in a branch of a hospital, I know how stressful things can get, but get your crap together. No one should have to so long for the answers to a swab test. I'll be sticking with Mash for now on. They always get me in and out within the hour. read more

I have had an opportunity to utilize WNY Immediate Care several times for both myself and my 79 year old mother in the past few months. The staff has ALWAYS been kind, courteous, and extremely professional. The welcoming receptionist was on the level of a concierge at a 5 star hotel, while the medical staff were top-notch and took care of our health problems in a quick, and professional manor. I would rate WNY Immediate Care 5 out of 5 stars, and would recommend them to anyone. read more
