I had the best experience here yesterday. I had a fight with a Madoline which ended me in need of medical attention. Soon as I walked in I was greeted by friendly front desk staff and immediately checked in. My wait time In the lobby was less than 5 minutes. Where I was sent in the back. Again everyone was so nice, unfortunately I can't recall names because I was too focused on my pain BUT from the woman that took my assessment to the two nurses who took care of my they all were so nice. They were gentle with me, explained what they were going to do step by step and throughly explained after care. In total I was in and out within an hour! I highly recommend this immediate care center. The facility is clean, and a nice size. read more

People usually only review an urgent care when they have an unpleasant experience, but I was taken great care of here. Keep in mind that your local urgent care is *not* meant to be a Norwegian hospital- of course the experience will not be perfect, but if they can make you better and treat you with kindness, you are well off. I made an appointment online for a Sunday evening, which was very easy. I arrived about 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. The woman working the front desk was kind, helpful, and attentive. I waited for about 10 minutes past my scheduled time, and I was helped by a very kind nurse. I wish I could remember her name, but she was the sweetest! She was very thorough in explaining how things would work and making sure I was comfortable. We had a great chat. The provider came in about 10 minutes later, and was very personable and thorough in explaining the process and any follow up questions I may have. I will definitely be back if I need anything, because my PCP is not here in Buffalo. That said, remember it is an urgent care and make an appointment if you can! read more

I sprained my ankle a couple of weeks ago and kept hoping it would get better with ice packs and a clumsy boot. It didn't. So on Sunday, January 18, 2026, I called Immediate Care at 9 AM to confirm that they did X-Rays. I was getting ready to go over when, just a couple of minutes after that, a nurse, Joyce, called me back to let me know that the X-Ray technician would not be in until the afternoon. I was very impressed with this proactivity. I came to the facility at 1:30 and was seen by this same nurse and a Physicians Assistant. Corry, by 2:00 (maybe sooner) They promptly examined me and got me in for X-Rays with Gabby the technician. Soon after I met with PA Corry and she explained that my foot was not broken but advised me to see an orthopedic doctor to confirm that there was no ligament damage. Shortly after that, Bryanna, a Medical Assistant fitted me with an Aircast -- a much better brace then the clumsy boot I was using. And I believe I was discharged before 3 PM. At every step of the way, I was treated respectfully, efficiently, and professionally. In addition all of these folks were very personable and exuded confidence in the care they were providing. I have always had a positive experience at this Immediate Care. This time was exceptipnal. read more

I have to give all possible stars because I went last Sunday and was in a LOT of pain and had no appointment. I waited maybe half an hour for intake. Thought it would be much longer because the parking lot was pretty full. Then maybe another 20 minutes or so before being called in. My suspicion was kidney infection, and was nervous about it because I am diabetic. While at the Immediate Care, I saw a medical tech nurse, a PA and an NP. The lab tested my urine and I was x-rayed to make sure no kidney stone. Diagnosis: muscle spasms in my side. I was given a scrip for a muscle relaxant and sent home. I am now fine, the spasms reduced to an unpleasant memory. The waiting room was clean and comfortable, television working, plants well-tended. Artwork in the waiting area and in the exam rooms and halls seemed selected with the thought of giving people something to think about other than their pain. Worked for me. All the professional people I interacted with seemed concerned and involved with helping me to feel better. I was glad they took my insurance because the ER would have cost a lot more, and the pain was so bad I sure didn't want to wait until the next day to see my doctor. Although, If I had known or even suspected muscle spasms, I would have waited for Monday. read more

Do not go to this place if u actually need assistance. my friend was sitting there in pain for a good 30 mins until the receptionist told us that they actually cant do any blood work or anything like that. if you're in pain and need help you're better off going to the ER than this place. the receptionist also informed us that they aren't allowed to question patients when they come in, instead they're supposed to sign in and wait. not being able to communicate your problems in the place you went to get your problems fixed? make it make sense. read more

My first experience was a good one, the second was not. We were still seen in relatively good time but the diagnosis was 100% inaccurate. I recently received a (required) COVID-19 test at this location with my wife and 18-month old (only parents getting tested). We had an appointment at 2:19p. We arrive promptly at 2:19p and wait in the entranceway to be admitted. After a brief interaction with the receptionist, we head back to our car to fill out 5 pages of paperwork; it seems entirely possible to have completed this online, prior to our visit, but it wasn't the end of the world. After about 15+ minutes, we receive a phone call and are admitted into a procedure room. We waited here for approximately 30 minutes before a nurse came in to administer the COVID-19 test....this nurse muttered under her breathe so badly that my wife and I were just staring at each other having no clue what she said. She never made eye contact, had less than zero empathy, awful "bedside manner" when administering a very uncomfortable test, didn't even acknowledge our extremely scared child, and commented dismissively that the provider would come in to see us shortly. It is now about 3:10p. We waited in this small procedure room for a full hour without a single visit from anyone. My child has now been cooped up for nearly two hours, and our actual procedure took approximately 10 seconds to administer. I finally pop my head out at 4:10p and politely, but clearly, asked for more *immediate care*. I should note that while waiting for the hour, we had to cancel a Dr.'s apt that we had made that same day for 4:30p, as we clearly weren't going to be "discharged" in time (who would have guessed a COVID test would take 2+ hours?). Finally, a Dr. comes in and performs a physical exam and questions us about our symptoms and general health....which seemed unnecessary as this was not the purpose of our visit and we never were told why these additional procedures (checking throat, checking nodes, asking about symptoms) and examinations were being performed (we've had two COVID tests prior to this, and this examination went far beyond the two prior). If we had made an appointment to diagnose a cold/flu, then I understand, but we exclusively scheduled to have a test performed (which had already been done). Unless this Dr. was going to personally diagnose us with COVID-19 as a result of her exam, then why was it performed? The Dr. then leaves us in the waiting room again. We are finally handed our documentation at 4:33p and can leave this Godforsaken place, with my son in a near panicked state of boredom and anxiousness. This process took 2 Hours and 14 minutes!!!! That's insane! Our NYS COVID test downtown took less than 3 minutes from start to finish. Everyone here was cold, unwelcoming, didn't acknowledge the anxiety that goes along with having to receive this test, never apologized or even commented on the outrageous waiting time, and was generally an awful practitioner of medicine. They should be more than capable to either limit the number of tests they perform in a day to allow themselves to provide better care, or at the bare minimum inform patients that wait times can exceed 2 hours for something most people would perceive as a fairly quick procedure. At least this way we could have braced ourselves for what was coming. I guess it's possible they just forgot about us in the room, but that really doesn't change how I feel about their professionalism. I will absolutely, positively, NEVER go here again and I recommend you stay away from this place unless your life literally depends on these people. The end. read more

Absolutely do not recommend for Covid testing. Extremely annoying process with many different steps. Tons of paperwork and wanted my full medical history. I do not have any symptoms and was going to get tested as a precaution. Made me come inside and then go back to my car. Had me wait in a tiny vestibule with a maskless person. 4 people on staff up front joking around and looked at me like I was crazy when I walked up to ask for my ID and insurance card back. Took all my vitals and had me see both a nurse and a provider. If you're looking for a routine Covid test DO NOT COME HERE. I still don't have my results and they said they would call me. I went to urgent care on a Saturday after the on call doctor from my PCP's office told me to get my lungs checked for pneumonia. Please see my old review if you have broken bone, fracture, or sprain. The wait was over an hour but the waiting room was nice and they have complimentary tea, coffee, and water. Hot drinks are from a pod machine plus hot cocoa packets are also available. Let me cut to the chase. Dr. Cronin was great and I wish he could be my regular doctor. He was so nice, so helpful, apologized for the wait, gave me additional medical advice, and was just an all around great guy. He diagnosed my right away, confirmed with a chest x Ray, talked to me about the prescriptions...why he chose the antibiotic he did, how to use the nasal spray...everything. Very knowledgable and caring. Just want to add that the website boasts a flat screen in each exam room. They're 17 inches and it's not clear how to turn them on and no one encourages you to use it, even though you'll be waiting an additional 20 minutes in there before the doctor comes in. read more

I felt compelled to write a review after almost not using this facility today due to the wealth of negative reviews already on Yelp. Since I had no better options, and couldn't get a sick visit at my primary's office for at least 2 days, I figured this was my best option anyway. One thing to note about this particular location is that they DO NOT participate in the online scheduler, so it truly is first-come, first-served. The check-in process was simply, and there were already about 15 people ahead of me. I arrived 30 minutes after they opened, so I didn't think that was too bad -- especially for being the middle of the holidays. I anticipated a longer wait time, but I was in a room with the NP within 20 minutes of arrival. The PA was in with me about 5 minutes after that, and at first did not give me a warm reception. Once she realized that I wasn't going to be a pissy patient, she warmed up. After a thorough exam and X-rays, the diagnosis still wasn't 100% certain (respiratory illness of some sort) but they got me sorted out with scrips and advised that I follow up with my primary. Overall, I was satisfied with the service and was there for about 1.5 hours. I spent minimal time actually waiting for someone to attend to me, so that's good. As with any service industry, employees are human and sometimes have a bad day. I've written my share of critical reviews, and I don't doubt that some of the reviewers truly had horrible experiences here, but I must say mine was that of a positive one. read more

I visited their office in Oct'2021. I spent less than 15 minutes with the physical assistant for ear pain. He spent a few minutes looking into both ears and at at end he prescribed an ear drop. I waited for about an hour before seeing the PA, only to spend less than 15 minutes. What really shocked me is what they billed the insurance. Over $400!!!! Here is information I received from Aetna (In-Network) Office/facility visit - 99204 / Office visit or other non-hospital visit with a provider / Oct 9, 2021 / $403 / Out-of-pocket responsibility after insurance adjustment is $245. The care received was marginally OK at best. The waiting time is very long. The price is insane. You might have better luck if you stellar insurance. YMMV. I went in with a dog bite on Saturday and filled out a report they were supposed to send to the county health department. When I called the health department on Tuesday they had not received it, which is a real problem as there are questions regarding whether the dog was vaccinated for rabies. If they miss simple (and potentially very important) tricks like this, what else is falling through the cracks? There are many other urgent care facilities in Buffalo. Go to one of those. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. I think this may be the first negative yelp review I have ever written, but I don't think it could possibly be more warranted. 1) Physician tried to give me a medication contraindicated by another medication in my system. When I pointed out the issue and requested a med change, all parties agreed that it was a mistake by the doc and a dangerous reaction was possible. 2) Admin incorrectly recorded BOTH my mailing address AND my insurance ID #. As such, after I paid my co-pay, I never received a bill - apparently they don't bother to call, email, or otherwise attempt to fix the problem when they update their system to reflect 'bad address,' despite having my contact info on file. Rather than take any steps to resolve their own mistakes here, they simply sent me to a collections agency. 3) The only reason a bill even existed was because they incorrectly recorded my insurance info. 4) The day I received the collections notice (of course, they don't have any issues contacting me), I immediately contacted all involved parties. The mailing address and insurance ID # on file were supposedly corrected. The person I spoke with reassured me that all was well and the collections account would be closed immediately without consequence. 5) A month later, I got another notice from collections. I contacted all parties yet again and this time requested escalation to a supervisor when the rep couldn't assist me (not her fault). They apparently had some kind of administrative issue/confusion with my insurance company after they updated the ID# - a situation which I have never before encountered or even heard of happening. Rather than try to resolve the issue OR contact me to let me know about it OR even bothering to send me a bill, they simply left the account in collections and never updated them about their original errors. After several phone calls back and forth to all parties, they still couldn't figure out how to submit their claim properly to my insurance company. 6) They had ALSO failed to fix my mailing address on file. 7) An agent from my insurance company kindly volunteered to stay on the line with me to make a 3-way call to this company's billing department and explain to them how to properly submit an insurance claim. I assumed this would be the end of the issue. It was not. UPDATE: I contacted Jamie T as advised in the response to this review on Google. Ultimately, Jamie let me know that the bill was removed from collections and that I now have a zero dollar account balance. Unfortunately, her billing office states this is false and the account is still unpaid, in collections, and that they are unable to assist me with self-paying the bill or provide me with a copy of the bill - which I still have not received. I have a recording of them unambiguously indicating they lied to me about the bill status on that call. This level of incompetence - and lack of ethical business practices - is simply astounding. Dangerous lack of attention to detail by the providers, outright lies to patients, inability to submit a simple insurance claim, inability to provide me with a bill for a YEAR or assist me in self-paying to avoid this hassle..... Go to literally any other urgent care in the area - none of them have these issues. read more

Many thanks to everyone at this office. I came in last Saturday evening, and they were almost closed. I am 66 years old and having trouble breathing. Fearing that dumb virus, I was worried. I was there until after they closed, getting an evaluation. They took a throat and nasal swab and a chest x-ray and was diagnosed with pneumonia in one lung. I got results for the virus after 6 days and was found to be virus free! Thanks and thank God for them and all health care workers. Would give 0 stars if I could. On Sunday morning May 24, 2020 I called ahead to find out if this facility have the ability to give a nebulizer treatment (for asthma/ copd ). I was told over the phone they did and also was told they could test for both Covid and the antibody test. I was having shortness of breath and difficulty breathing. After Dr. Richa Sharma's examination she explained she would NOT give me a nebulizer treatment and I should go to the ER for that. Her explanation was that the treatment would blow Covid germs around. She also was resistant to the Covid testing and antibody Covid test even though I was informed Immediate Care was testing for both Covid test. She acted like I was just wasting her time. When I was there I only observed one other patient. Dr, Sharma'a assistant conducted the Covid (nose swab) and then began the blood draw for the Covid antibody test. Halfway through the antibody test (blood draw) Dr. Sharma told her assistant to NOT do the test even though it had already been started. Dr Sharma called in two scripts (an inhaler and steroids) . When I got to the pharmacy all the pharmacist had for me was the steroids and NO script for the inhaler. I had to call Immediate Care from the pharmacy to see why they did did not have a script for my inhaler. When I spoke with the office assistant inquiring why the script for the inhaler was not at the pharmacy she stated I had to have the Pharmacist call Immediate Care and request the script. WHAT??? She called in the steroids but I HAD TO have the pharmacy call them for the inhaler Dr, Sharma said I needed when I was under her exam. Unbelievable !!! This is possibly the WORST MEDICAL CARE I have ever experienced. I walked away feeling worse from the anxiety and the flawed treatment i received. She showed no compassion whatsoever. I would NEVER recommend this facility and more importantly this doctor to anyone. I do understand we are ALL going through some very trying times but there is no excuse for a doctor to treat a person in medical need this way. Next time I will go directly to the ER and bypass the negligence of Immediate CARE. read more

I came in because I had issues with my left ear and a possible infection. I showed up and filled out paperwork around 9:25 and was in the lobby waiting until 10:00 before the finally saw me. There was only 6 people in the lobby at the time. The receptionist at the front was rude and told me "wait and I'll get you when I'm ready". I have been to WNY Immediate Care about 5x. I find I don't have to wait long to see the doctor and the entire process is fairly easy. Because my own PCP can be very hard to get into, I found this urgent care convenient in the past. I have had good experiences with administrative staff, nurses, and Dr. Chima. The bad news: in January of this year, I went to WNY Immediate Care for a severe sinus infection. I was seen by the PA, Allison. Initially, Allison wanted to send me home without any medicine. I told Allison that I was getting married in a week, and really wanted to feel well for my wedding day. Allison suggested I take Augmentin. I have taken Augmentin in the past and do not respond. I reported this to Allison, that I also had had pneumonia 3x in the past five years. Allison refused to provide me with the strong antibiotic I needed, or any other antibiotic besides Augmentin. If I wasn't getting married the next week, I would have been much more tolerant of her decision. Because my options were limited, I chose to take the Augmentin prescribed by Allison. A week went by of taking Augmentin, and I wasn't feeling any better. In fact, the day before my wedding, I had to be admitted to the ER with pneumonia. As predicted, the Augmentin did not work. I was able to have my wedding, but you know what I remember most about my wedding day? Trying to catch my breath as I walked down the aisle. It's a shame that Allison refused to listen to her patient and effectively ruined my wedding day. I found Allison to be short with me, incapable of treating me as an N of 1 vs clinical data. It was like talking to a pharmacist that wouldn't give someone Plan B because of their religious beliefs. Allison acted like I was asking for Vicodin or Vyvanse, when all I wanted to do was feel well on my wedding day. I don't know what else to say here except if you see Allison as your provider, I'd ask to see someone else. There are other capable clinicians in this practice. Allison is too sure of herself, refuses to collaborate with her patients to develop a treatment plan. read more

I would leave a 0 if that was an option. Last Tuesday my mother went there with a rash that was spreading quicker than I have ever seen anything spread in my life. She had blisters drilled with blood and swelling in feet legs and hands. She was initially diagnosed with scabies and given a cream. After going home and crying and applying this cream all over her rash that in fact made it worse the next day she returned to this place to be told that misdiagnosed her. Then her new diagnoses was cellulitis. They gave her an antibiotic and did a culture and sent her in her way. We then went to Kenmore mercy hospital which told her it wasn't that either. Day five and we still don't know what this is. After going to a dermatologist she was able to be given a high dose of steroids, soaks, and creams and are waiting for biopsies. We were told to call this immediate care and get the report from the culture as it should be available. When we called they said they sent it out for the wrong test so we would have to come back in. Needless to say we will never go back in there and then when my mother said there better not be a bill attached for that test the woman said she did not know what to tell her. Are you kidding me? My mother could be dead if it wasn't for the dermatologist and the care and soaks my family has giving her for the last week. There will be legal representation on our part coming for this medical facility if you want to call them that. You would be better of your web MD than going here. Please save yourself the time and stress and heart ache and go somewhere else. FYI. This is far from over. They will be held accountable. Very angry intelligent daughters at work. read more

I was seen quickly, received excellent and compassionate care, and could not have asked for a better urgent care experience. I appreciated all of the COVID precautions, was in and out (with x-ray, medications, and consult) in under an hour which is impressive for any medical center. Every staff member was friendly, wore appropriate PPE, and was very helpful. I will definitely return to this location in the future. read more

I've been to WNY Immediate Care a few times and I have to say that the level of professionalism is wanting in some of the providers. The receptionists have been very friendly and caring, but unfortunately, what you need in a time of crisis has to go further. It can be easy to love a place that takes you in faster than an ER but the quality loss is too huge to risk it! When I went in for a bad flu, I was treated with care and professionalism. But when I went in for things less easy to diagnose, such as a broken fifth metacarpal or an abdominal pain, I was shocked at the behavior of the practitioners. During my abdominal pain, the doctor tried to convince my I had a broken rib from a car accident two months before but that my "adipose tissue" meant it wouldn't show up on Xray. No sonogram, no bloodwork, no plan for follow up. I went to my primary care physician weeks later to find my liver had a large cyst that was causing pain. When my hand was broken, my trust was truly shaken. After the Xrays came back, he frustratedly walked in to the room and yelled out, "Yep, it's broken!" I wanted to shout at him, "Oh, you're annoyed by this? Imagine how I feel!" The bone needed to be placed, which is excessively painful. No one seemed to care much for how deeply this hurt. I recognize nothing was going to change the pain I was in, but bedside manner can go a long way in at least making you feel hopeful about the future. When X-rayed again the doc waited to see about his placement- going so far as to HIGH FIVE the technician about how well he had done. Afterward, I was placed into the most make shift cast imaginable. I would have to stay in it for three days until my official orthopedist appointment. When I was able to get an appt with the orthopedist I learned that not only was the bone placed completely incorrectly (he had high-fived the tech to celebrate, remember?!) but the cast was completely unsafe. The orthopedic PA said he'd never seen worse work and that "the place should be shut down". He struck me as a person who strives to be extremely profesional, so this criticism really stuck out. The offices are nice, the service is typically fast, but if you want to avoid potentially permanent harm? Look elsewhere. read more

The facilities and staff are great. The entire experience took only about 2 hours, which was probably lengthened only because another guy receiving services was extremely sick and required a lot of attention. The nurses and x-ray tech are the highlight here. Very friendly and genuine when asking how you're feeling. The doctor was a little weird. I could barely understand his broken English and he was very disheveled. Looked like he just rolled out of bed. He was abrupt and asked me no less than 3 times if I needed a work release - clearly he just didn't remember. He also spoke down to me a bit - I know I look younger than my age but I certainly don't look like an uneducated teenager. I was there in a business suit. I understand he was busy but overall I just didn't care for his bed-side manner. Still, he seemed knowledgeable and diagnosed my issue quickly. One weird thing about this place is the patient rooms open up to a back administration area where staff and nurses can be clearly heard communicating with doctors and outside agencies. HIPAA violations anyone??? I could clearly hear staff using patient names and listing their conditions as they talked with others. They may want to do something about this, even if it is simply making sure they close patient doors while someone is in them. read more

I went here when I had a lapse in my insurance coverage. I wasn't sure if I had the flu or what since I was severely sick for almost a whole week. I was able to walk in without an appt. You do have to check in once you arrive (can be done prior as well online, not quite an appt. but pretty good for an ER alternative) using a computer with a touch screen. (That's fine for me, but what if you're elderly or computer illiterate or don't speak English?) After she checked me in I paid $248 for the visit and was warned that I may have to pay for extra lab work etc. I then was told to wait in the wait area. I probably waited for about 20 minutes-30 minutes. It definitely was nowhere like an ER, and was a bearable moment because there are plenty of TVs to keep you entertained. Only negative was that there were plenty of tissues but no waste baskets in the waiting room... A medical assistant came to ask me questions. His bedside manner was fine. He was professional. A LPN came in to take my blood and run my tests. I ultimately ended up seeing a P.A. Can't remember his name--but he was professional and answered all my questions as well. The tests were done on location and all I had to do was wait 15 minutes in the room for the results. They gave me a remote to use while I waited but I got the results so quick--no need. Overall: For an ER alternative this definitely is much better. Having had to go to an ER before--the service is a lot quicker. I would recommend this place if you were in my situation--you're sick but you know you're not dying. This place is not staffed with RNs or Doctors--if you're fine with licensed practicing nurses (2 yr vs. 4 yr degree) and a Physician's Assistant (not full medical school but still extensive training) then I would highly recommend this place. PS All I had to pay was the $248. I'm sure if I had insurance it would've covered most of it, and would've been comparable to a visit to my regular doctor. read more

Ok, they have to get some credit for seeing me one minute before closing on a Saturday night at eight. And, the X-Ray tech was very helpful and nice. On the other hand, I was not impressed with the PA on duty. It Ened up being OK, though because they actually had a radiologist read my X Ray the next morning and called on a Sunday to let me know the findings. Its a mixed bag. If I had another non-ER situation I would go and hope there was a doctor on duty. read more

Good experience. Came here around Lunchtime with severe back pain. Made an appointment online ( recommended ) and was in and out within 45 minutes. Immediate care's are unfortunately a little more expensive than seeing your primary care but on a Sunday I didn't really have much of an option. Very clean / modern facility with good parking...the check-in process was fairly painless although I had to tell them I had booked it online which seemed to surprise them ( maybe on the sign in sheet you can indicate you booked online so you know ??? ) nurse was friendly but all business, the doctor was certainly friendly and put my concerns at ease. Just because a place has 3-stars doesn't mean it's terribly bad. Front foyer was elegant and clean. Check-in staff girl was calm and pleasant to talk to. Nurse was pleasant to talk to. Waited a while in the exam room for the physician to show up. She complained how she didn't want to be there on a Sunday. Other than that, she was professional and got business done. It's kind of interesting reading reviews from people who have gone here multiple times. Either you have something really wrong with you or you need to plan ahead and go to your actual doctor's office instead. I just took my daughter in today who was very sick. I can't say anything about the actual care there because we did not stay. The lady at the front desk had deplorable customer service and was absolutely rude and condescending. I simply asked how much longer it was until we got checked in and she rudely stated I don't know. Her tone and demeanor was absolutely unacceptable. I'm very sorry she had to work on a Sunday, but that's her job. A little kindness goes a long way. I then took my daughter to MASH Urgent care on Sheridan Drive near Delaware. An Absolutely wonderful experience!!! I am a doctor myself and would never have my staff talk to anybody in that fashion. I will be calling her manager tomorrow. read more

This place is so awful in every way, including violating HIPAA laws since you can hear every word that the nurses or doctor says through the exam room door. I'd rather go to the ER than go back here. read more
