We couldn't have been happier with the location of our apartment. We were half a block down the way from La Grande Epicerie! (We frequented this amazing market several times a day, and I wanted to cry when I realized we were leaving and I wouldn't be able to shop here again for a while) So, here's how the Clickappart booking went down: - We found a location online and selected it, then put down a down payment via credit card. I'll admit, I was kind of skeptical but went with it. Totally smooth transaction. - Literally, the night before we were supposed to arrive in Paris, we asked Irene( from Clickappart) to book us a private Taxi. We weren't going to be near our computers or phone but when we got to the airport, our taxi guy was waiting for us and didn't drive all crazy getting us to our apartment. The ride was smooth and it was a fixed price, which was nice because there was a ton of traffic. - When we got to our apartment, someone from their agency was there waiting for us to show us our place, answer any questions, and take the rest of our payment. His English was great and he was super pleasant! - When it was time to leave, Irene booked us another private cab and he was also on time. We needed him there at 6 a.m. so we were very pleased that we didn't have to try to get a cab with our poor French for that time of morning. This was very very helpful. We made some last minute requests and Irene and staff were very accommodating They had no issues with speaking English to us, and it seemed like they were very service oriented. Our place was sooo old, but clean and spacious. I was very happy with their service and would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future. Negatives: We did get a bit cold because the only heating was the radiator and I guess I'm spoiled with our heater back home. Also, they advertised free WIFI and that basically consisted of MetroWifi which didn't always work for us even though they gave us a code to use. We do rely on the Internet for a lot of things, and this part was inconvenient.

He made sure our WiFi was working before he dashed off for his next appointment. The apartment is immaculate with everything in good working order. Though, it's nice to know we have a contact close by just in case. We've rented apartments in Paris before and find them a much roomier and less expensive alternative to hotels.

The bathroom is shared by the floor (basically it's a college dorm with a communal kitchen and washing machines). The proximity to the metro AND the tram (for those hungover/lazy days) was also pretty awesome! Tram being right outside my door and the metro 2 blocks away. _______________________ WARNING: If you do decide to stay at the Cite-U, make sure NOT to arrive on a Sunday or past 17:00h Monday-Saturday because you will be locked out (you have to be given the key by your individual house's receptionist). Make sure once you know which house you will be staying in, to CALL the house and ask them their hours and inform them of your arrival! ________________________ Moving on, My fear of being the anti-social American loner rejected by the French was gone by my 2nd day in Paris! Every night we'd drink wine and sit on the steps of the house and gather a big group. By the end of my stay our group had grown to around 25 people. On nice days, we'd sit tan on the quad and at nights we'd party at other houses. The dining hall food was pretty good for what you paid for it, but there are also a bunch of supermarkets by the port d'orleans train stop. AVOID the Lidl.

I had come to Paris to study the French language for a month. The people at the front desk spoke broken English (probably on par with my French) so make sure you know your basics. It is very dorm like - shared bathrooms and kitchens but it all adds to the wonderful experience. Very convenient location. There are grocery stores, restaurants, the metro and the bus within minutes. Oh, I miss those days dearly!

Terrible. I made…read morethe mistake to rent an apartment through this agency. They were really nice till I signed the contract. They were really fast to cash the checks (among which 2,500€ of agency fees for a 2-room apartment, which is quite high). And then? Well, they disappeared. Which was unfortunate, since they only gave us 1 apartment key (I'm living there with my boyfriend, so two keys doesn't sound like a stupid requirement) and no mailbox key. So we are supposed to have received our contracts for electricity and internet but cannot access them since they are in the mailbox! It has been 3 weeks now, and they return neither my calls nor my emails. In short: Just DO NOT RENT THERE. No apartment is worth the trouble of dealing with dishonest people.
