$112.50 these thieves charged us to come pickup our one (1) medium size garbage receptacle. They raised their rates by $15 on their bill without any notice or explanation. I can make a trip to the dump for that. And this company could care less about the planet. They are the ones destroying it. A totally disgusting company from their collectors to their nonsensical billing to the customer service. Warning!! : Never use these thieves. You'll be sorry. read more

And then, I guess as a slap in the face, we receive a bill for $14.95, the following month, yes, a month later... FOR ADMINISTRATIVE FEES?!?!?! (after these crooked jerks charged us $95 to pick up their one small garbage receptacle). LMAO---- kiss my ass WM. You ain't getting jack squat! Lol They are price rigging. Overcharging. Do not ever use these crooks. I'm helping my neighbors get rid of Waste Managment before they try the same stunt on them. The new company we switched to is about half the cost and they arrive mid afternoon on the same minute each week. We are overly satisfied and paying SO MUCH LESS. DONT GET CONNED BY THESE THIEVES (WM) AND THEIR CROOKED STAFF AND FIND YOURSELF IN THE SAME CON JOB NIGHTMARE. THEIR SERVICE STINKS, THE STAFF STINKS AND WM STINKS. read more

I requested recycling to be added to my trash service and they brought me an extra tran can that I did not request and charged me for it. Contacting any kind of support is a joke. I finally got my recycling can and I left it on the curb for 2 weeks and has never been picked up but my bill went from $24 a month to $150. I finally got fed up canceled the service in witch they automatically charged me $251 for no reason. Luckily iv recorded all my conversations and text support messages with this company. Complete incompetent. $24 a month to $151a month i canceled and they charged me $251 read more

Terrible service. If they damage your cans, you have to put you cans in the street, not on the curb or driveway, for up to days. They will not tell you what day they are coming. Also, the cans have to be empty. Causing me problems with the neighbors and the HOA, as well as being unsightly and causing problems with every to store the garbage while the empty cans are out. I would not use WM except that my HOA requires it. I will be urging a change of companies for our neighborhood. read more

I wanted to speak to a person with regards to my bill and I was on hold and I finally had to hang up and try it again perhaps Monday morning at 5:00 a.m. because I cannot believe this is an acceptable practice for a business to have someone wait an hour and 13 minutes and beyond to speak to a representative. If I could put a negative star I would read more

Stay far away, I share the same sentiment as the rest. Customer Service is nonexistent. I am getting charged fees for their autopay service not working correctly. I've updated all my information on multiple occasions, and it continues to malfunction. When I finally got ahold a "customer service rep" she told me it was my fault. I entered the information in wrong, or I don't have funds in my account. Both not true. read more

Waste Management just increased their service price AGAIN from $82 last quarter to $97 this quarter! Geez.

Called to see if they could pick up a missed Pick up and was told that I would need to pay a $125 pick up fee for them to come pick it up or I would have to wait until my next pickup cycle. I would definitely suggest Republic due to they at least well come back to pick up without fees. Do not recommend waste management read more

I live one block north of the Tucson city limits, in Pima county. And I have been a Waste Management customer for three years. Every four or five months we have service interruptions. When I use their app or website to report a missed pickup, I get a confirmation number, but have yet to have a missed pickup actually picked up before the next scheduled date. And they are getting worse. They no longer have a customer service phone number on their website. Yesterday I spent 30 minutes waiting for a person to CHAT with on their website. Then that person told me that I had not set out my bin (it is always set out after dinner, the day before pickup. ALWAYS, for three years). This is the 30th week of the year, and even though there are 2 scheduled pickups each week (trash and recycle) they have missed 18 so far this year. read more

Twice in less than a year my dumpster has been damaged when they have picked up the trash. The first time I knocked the dents out of it myself so I could continue to use it. last week it was dented so much i could hardly move it. I requested a new container via the chat and the customer service responses were less than stellar. I called back today and was told how the replacements ACTUALLY work, which was not explained last week during the chat. So I have to leave it out empty for 1-5 days until they swap it out. I have to figure it out what to do with my trash until their 3rd party company shows up. Too many other choices in Tucson to put up with this. I see why my neighbors have other trash service companies instead of WM read more

Why didn't I do more research into these guys? Brand recognition doesn't mean good service, and that's true with WM. Been a customer now for 6 weeks and NOT ONCE have they picked up my trash on my assigned day. 15 minute hold time to talk to anyone and they make web chat extremely hard to find. They keep telling me they'll fix the issues but every week the same thing happens again and again. read more

As dumps go, it was fast and easy. Both employees I met were friendly and professional.

They take my trash out. I wish they would complain to the hoa about the cars that park illegally.

Trash pickup was missed Tuesday - December 26 - 2023. Since Christmas Day was on the 25th, pickup was scheduled for the next day, the 26. Recyle bins were emptied. The trash pickup truck drove quickly around the Hartman Vistas TJ Bednar neighborhood but didn't pickup the trash. Today is Friday, December 29 and trash has still not been picked up. It's basically impossible to talk to a live agent at WM. I've tried multiple times. This time I was on hold for over two hours!! Their Chat doesn't work any more either; They deleted the page (they said they did this "sustainably" LOL!!) After 2 hrs and 15 minutes (I just left the phone on hold and did grocery shopping!) an agent finally answered. Of course they assured me that pick up was scheduled for today (12/29/23 ) by 5:30 pm. They said this was what they call a "Code Red" and should have priority for pickup ASAP. When our HOA manager called WM he didn't speak to a "live" person, but saw on the pick-up schedule that there was a scheduled pick up today by 5:30. Of course they didn't come by 5:30 pm 12/29 as promised - again. Unfortunately, it's their usual MO. Now we'll see if they schedule to pick up Tuesday, Jan. 2nd, miss that, and then only pick up on the following Monday - January 8th! Ina Road WM facility in Tucson and corporate WM apparently do not communicate. I'm adding to the one-star ratings on Yelp and continual problems with impossible communication and with inconsistent pick up. read more

I was please with my services until WM decided to raise their prices by 18% which they admitted was the highest they have ever done and then when I called to cancel at the end of my period told me I had to pay another $75 for can pick up because I was canceling due to their service rate hike. So now if you finish your contract but don't accept the rate hike they charge you to cancel basically trying to force you into accepting a large rate hike. Have to say this is one hell of a shady practice WM. read more

Our HOA chose Waste Management for our garbage and recycling. They are courteous and reliable - picking up our garbage and recycling consistenty and on time. However, I question recycling glass as I've found broken glass on our streets much too often. When recycling we're not able to put the glass in a garbage bag to prevent broken glass going all over, and so I'm not sure exactly WHY the glass is all over the streets, but it's a health and safety hazard. I'm out there sweeping up broken glass on my street way to often, in order to 1) keep it from spreading, 2) getting into our shoes and tires and ending up in our homes and most importantly 3) to prevent injury to our children and pets. WHAT IS THE SOLUTION? I've called and complained. The only solution I see is to stop recycling glass. Any other suggestions? read more

Waste Management skipped my scheduled pickup which was Wed. and when I called they promised to come out the next day and pick up my trash. I called later in the day why it hadn't been picked up, I was told it would be the following Monday, 5days late. This has happened 2 times in the last 6 months. One star rating is truly a gift...an insult to our solar system. So I have to trash them in writing because they need to hear this. Absolutely impossible to contact them. Just now, I twice spent 15 minutes on hold and then phone connection went dead. Then I tried their poor excuse for a live chat --their chat response to me was: "Albert is typing" but after a 5 minute wait for a response, there was no Albert on the other end--- and live chat hopes went into the garage bin. ......so I never got my billing issue resolved. Total rubbish. I'll try snail mail next and see how messed up that will be. I will be entering another WM debris field. There is a a very valid reason that so many consumers rate them with only one star. They are a hauling monopoly, so they couldn't care less. Their message to us is to swallow hard or haul it out yourself. No wonder they can't be contacted....I'd hide, too. read more

You guys are charging WAY too much for bad service. You complain that my recycling is contaminated when it isn't, and my service has gone from less than 40 bucks to over 125. You're just making enemies. FIX IT! .. or I'll do it myself. You suck! read more

Buyer beware! WM has a post card that has service for $19.00 per month! The sign up was easy and the lady even told us when to stop our service with the other company! And on September 2nd. we would have our new cans! A smooth transition? Not at all what I expected The Cans never came now it is a week with no where to put my trash! The Man I called said it could be weeks before I get my cans! The third Party Company is that far behind! Just put up to 7 bags on the curb and we will pick them up! Does this company not know we have wild animals that will destroy the bags and drag the trash all over! I never would have let my other Dependable service go if I knew that Waste Management is a below standard company! Going back to Blue! read more

I'm having a series of issues with waste management here in Pima County. I have emailed, spoken to a representative in another state who also emailed customer service and a supervisor, on hold for two hours at a time, attempted the chat option and no response back. The more I pay the worse the service. Each week for the past couple of months, there's been a missed pickup. Their service has gone way down, their trucks are gas guzzling, belching messes & the drivers pee outside the truck at the end of the road. UNACCEPTABLE! I've made complaints about the bad service and the peeing, (both garbage and recycle trucks), I guess that just makes the service worse. I finally tried to cancel and got the runaround, wasting an hour on the phone only to end up with the person I started with. I'm going snail mail my termination since the folks there don't seem to know what they're doing. Their recycling guy sure doesn't. read more

This company is a shining example of why it should be 0 to 5 stars. One just isn't low enough. Confident every employee is required to have their masters in making customers miserable. Never do business with this company if you have an alternate!! I cancelled my service on June 18, and the tote was retrieved by them within a week. On July 6, they withdrew from my account the service fee for July-September! I complained to them about it at which time their agent told me I would be given credit for that fee on my final bill. On July 15 I contacted them again when I received my final bill, without any credit for the service I paid for but had no way to use. The agent told me she could do nothing about the July payment that had been taken but helped me revoke WM's authority to withdraw any more money from my bank account. I verified on my portal it was turned off. The 2 payments were similar with the balance in WM's favor so they would have been fully paid for the money they were owed. On August 6 I received verification that the July 15 payment had been withdrawn from my bank account as well, AFTER I revoked authority for them to do so. If you have to do business with this company, never, ever, give them access to your bank account. They will still take out any money they want, even after you tell them to stop! Pay them only by check or the Bill Pay service of your bank. read more

I really shouldn't be surprised that WM has one star as I sit on hold AGAIN for over 1.5 hours to try and get my bin dumped AFTER they claim it was picked up as scheduled for two weeks in a row. Try to call as soon as they miss and sit on hold for hours before the line goes blank. This is honestly pretty ridiculous... There should be something that could be done. Maybe if they lost tons of residents and businesses they would have time for ACTUAL customer service for the ones that are left. Realistically they know we are in a spot and can't really stop service due to contracts and the fact that trash accumulates. It's a garbage garbage service and if you ACTUALLY want to get your trash picked up REGULARLY, I would NOT use Waste Management. If you want a company that wants their payments on time but wants to choose what weeks they service you then go for this crap company. I've never waited on the dang phone for so long for no one to answer, especially when it's a dang trash company. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR $. What a lousy company. I think they hire ballerinas to pick up the trash. Twice they put pretty little stickers on our bins saying they were placed in the "wrong direction ". Ok. We took photo of their placement and diligently placed bins in exact position. So apparently they were very sensitive garbage men who refused to empty the bins, because they decided the position wasn't EXACTLY as they required. No refund of our fees for not picking up trash. After calls, NO manager contacted us. Result: stinky rotting garbage. No room for garbage piling up in house. 80 degrees. You get the picture. Am trying to hire another service ASAP. read more

Watch out. There is no way to contact these people. Neither the Tucson number nor the Phoenix number work. My bill in Oro Valley went from$105.00 quarterly to $315.00 quarterly. My neighbors billing remained $105.00 quarterly or $35.00 a month. We had the same service. Pick up twice a week and 2 cans, with recycling one of the 2 days. When we called to complain about the outrageous jump in price, Hillary, at waste management said she would hate to see us go (I bet) and would put the price back down to $105.00 quarterly (BECAUSE THEY WERE FOUND OUT FOR PRICE GOUDGING) she never mentioned reimbursing us the over payment.
