That said, I am forever grateful for the compassionate care and professionalism that Gary and the team at Ball Funeral Chapel provided during this process. In terms of service, quality and value you just cannot go wrong trusting your loved one with them. I read some of the poor reviews I DO NOT understand the upset at all. Seriously, he was amazing to us. We wanted someone professional, kind, very upfront in terms of cost and logistics and he was all of it. From the very beginning, Gary's approach was nothing short of exemplary. Unlike some other funeral homes we considered, he never once (not. even. once) tried to upsell us on services or push us into making decisions that weren't aligned with our wishes or our budget. In fact, he made it clear that he was there to guide us, not take advantage of our grief, which meant the world to my family. He was always a phone call or an email away, and he was prompt with purposeful response. He helped us navigate the complex process of dealing with the hospital, the VA, and the many other details that we didn't know how to handle. His support allowed us to focus on healing, rather than getting lost in the logistics of it all. Not to disparage other funeral homes, but they seemed to play on folks emotions by hinting that anything else than the diamond package was a stain on our love and dedication to my Dad. Outrageous! I understand that grief affects everyone differently, but if you're looking for someone who is kind, professional, and truly knows his craft, I wholeheartedly recommend Ball Funeral Chapel. Events must be conveyed to bereaved individuals in a thorough and specific manner. This led to much confusion and stress for me. My husband had a grey/black mustache which became a black smudge for his viewing. I could understand if there was an accident but just be honest. Slater's as whole was good BUT the Funeral Director needs to find another career choice. They were caring, helpful and treated my family with respect and gave us welcome advise when we needed it. From start to finish, they patiently walked us through the process and helped us make the best choice for our family even arranging for a special viewing for the grandchildren to say goodbye to their beloved Papa . My mom did not want to split up my five siblings and wanted us all with her so they arranged for a stretch limo. The cemetery had issues with the actual grave site and they help navigate so that my mother and siblings were satisfied, we had a grave side service and they arranged for chairs for all of the older attendees and a tent. They even assisted with live streaming so that out of town guests could join us. My oldest brother had many many demands and required some extra attention and somehow Rose on the Schugar team was his personal aid and made him feel heard and got him what he needed quickly. We had one day to pull together a service, arrangements and shivas and they helped to get it all done. Thank you for helping us while we were at wits end during one of the worst times in our lives. Clearly by far it is the best. They offer funeral packages, graveside packages, or you can make up your own. The chapel is an adequate size for the ceremony. Judaism dictates no open viewing but rather 1 hour visitation before the service. Casket remains closed. Off to the side of the chapel is the mourner's room where family and friends may pay their respects to the deceased' next of kin during that visitation period. They provide you with information on how to find the various cemeteries and give you a small book of prayers, and a listing of the yearly Yahrzeits (Hebrew anniversary of date of passing) for the deceased. Their phone answers 24 hours round the clock so there is always someone available. They provide excellent service and compassion and understanding to the one in need. Another service they offer is a prearrangement which I lean towards. Often times in a period of loss a person is under much duress and as a result has a tendency to overspend. You can arrange an apt with a member of their staff and declare your intentions for your next of kin or for yourself. Around the time of the Jewish High Holidays in the fall they give out complimentary Jewish calendars. I have utilized their services in the past and have been here on a number of occasions. She also made changes to the obituary at the request of an individual who did not have the authority to make any decisions. Not only did Danielle change the obituary without my approval, she didn't even have the courtesy to let me know that she made changes. The owner was unprofessional and refused to do the right thing for my loved one who ended up spending 21 days in their care because she refused to "get involved." She had no problem taking my loved one's money. Shameful behavior from a so called "professional" who cares about the people she supposedly cares for in the end. Would never recommend this funeral home to anyone even as a last resort.

Our oldest brother Steve died suddenly on Thanksgiving. Within in an hour of the call Jess and Frank were there taking good careful care of him. Holding our hands.
