The weather did not co-operate with him or his crew at all. There were so many rain delays, but through the entire process, he was patient and kind, and he and his crew continued to work away when the weather would allow it. Watching the welding crew put the frame together was a wonderful experience. Metal footings are installed in the concrete when the foundation is poured. Then they weld the entire frame structure to those solid footings encased in concrete. That building is not going anywhere! He built us one fantastic workshop. We didn't want a "Me Too" spray-on cool-deck with plastic dec-o-drains like everyone else. We wanted something really special and finally decided on a Turkish Travertine deck. We quickly found out there is very little travertine expertise in the Austin area. We feel very lucky that we were able to find TJ because as you can see in the pictures he is a true artist! He did all of everything you see except the pool shell and pump equipment. He did all the base-work, concrete, coping and laid over 1000ft of "Autumn" travertine stone in a Versailles pattern. He also engineered the awesome drain systems in the concrete to work with the slotted travertine drain tiles. No plastic deck-o drains here! We couldn't be more happy with the results. We get raving compliments from all our friends and everyone that sees it. The guy with the pool company that came to turn-up the pool and give us pool school said "I absolutely love your deck! I turn up over 300 pools a year and this is my hands down favorite!" Now that's quite a compliment TJ! TJ was a really great guy to work with on this project. He takes great pride in his workmanship and doesn't cut corners. His prices are very reasonable and we are so happy with everything he did for us.
