Great artists played, but the same songs over and over and over and over again. Having relocated here in Richmond in late 2016 from the major media market that is Los Angeles, 96.5 WKLR and that SOS classic rock station to your left on the dial have made me realize how good I had it with 100.3 KSWD and 95.5 KLOS. I grew up with the famous 94.7 KMET so maybe my standards for Rock & Roll Radio are elevated. The WKLR Program Director surely makes a good case for drivers to find another station or subscribe to satellite radio. I've been thinking 'certainly they will update or change that playlist' for 8 months, but nope, there's that same worn out Bob Seger/Kiss/Bon Jovi/Steve Miller/Bad Co/Def Leppard song I heard yesterday. And the day before. And the day before. I love the artists but jeez Bad Medicine AGAIN? How does WKLR sell any advertising? If you want your Arbitron ratings to improve, try the 'never the same song twice on the same day' policy that 100.3 The Sound in LA uses. Or maybe mimic 105.5 SAM FM in Charlottesville, as they have it right but Richmond is on the fringe of C-Ville FM reception. Best yet, just go Top 40 since your song library has maybe 40 songs in the rotation. This is my first Yelp flame folks, your station is just that bad. We Richmonders are a bit more intelligent than your Station Manager realizes. For now, I'll play CD's in the car while I ponder a Sirius/XM subscription.
