We bought our home in December 2024 believing it had a new roof installed in 2023. Four months later, we discovered a leak--only to learn that although the roof was new, the warranty was not transferable. The original roofing company did come out and make some repairs at no charge, but they warned us we might need additional work later. A few months after that, we noticed new stains inside the house and decided to call WKL Roofing. We could not have been more pleased with their service. Sarah handled the arrangements and was amazing--friendly, efficient, and very flexible with scheduling. We then met with Jared Clark, their sales representative, who arrived shortly before the scheduled time and immediately went to work. He climbed onto the roof right away, diagnosed the issue thoroughly, and explained everything with exceptional clarity. To our relief, he found that the roof itself had been properly repaired and that the stains inside the house were actually caused by condensation from an A/C vent directly above the spot. He gave us excellent recommendations regarding insulation to correct the issue and prevent further problems. Jared also took the time to explain what a genuine roof leak would look like, showed us how to treat the existing stains, and taught us a simple method for monitoring the area (drawing a pencil outline so dissolved graphite would indicate renewed moisture). His professionalism, courtesy, and thoroughness were truly outstanding. He encouraged us to call him again in a couple of months if we noticed any changes, which gave us great peace of mind. STAY AWAY FROM WKL ROOFING WKL roofing commits elderly abuse by ripping off older people, and not caring! Posting this for my 86 year-old father! My father purchased a 67,000.00-tile roof. This roof has a 10-year warranty on workmanship. His roof had 12 different leaks and has yet to stop in some areas. Durning a heavy rainstorm that came from the east 5 gal buckets would fill up in his home. The ceiling fell down in one area, and you could stick your finger through the plywood in other areas. They (WKL ) tried to fix leaks numerous times but could never fix them. After a while they wouldn't even answer my dads phone calls. This 86-year-old man had to climb in the attic to look for these leaks before his entire ceiling fell down. He has have had to endure thousands of dollars in repairs. They refuse return calls. His roof is still leaking. This company has taken advantage of the elderly. I have file complaints with a State on behalf of my father. The state needs to get involved. I have also hired an attorney to go after them. My parents now have mold in their home because of these incompetent roofers. read more

WKL repaired and coated our balcony and the porch. We had a 4 step process to repair, fiberglass, coat and paint and WKL performed all 4 steps efficiently. The teams also were very professional and took care to access the work from the exterior so to avoid any mess in the house. Our balcony is on the second floor, so they had to access it by ladder. First I never got to the point of having this company fix my roof because I couldn't get any responses back. When I noticed a leak in my roof I call the office and left a message with the receptionist. Kevin who I believe is the K in WKL Roofing called me back and was able to come over to my house and take a look at the issue the next day. He said he would get a estimate back to me and we can go from there. A week and a half later I sent a text to Kevin and a call to the office leaving a message still no estimate. Along with the house, there is a flat roof florida room, and we were worried about leaks in the flat roof but, again, no problems. Everything was done within a day and a half. It has been 7 months since WKL left the roof off of the house for a week and the rain poured into several rooms. They have refused to give us the name of a contractor or set up dates for someone to repair the damage. We reached out by email, calls, and texts to staff and the owner. The owner was often rude at one point stated "You are just a nurse, what do you know about mold?" Well actually, as a professor with a Master's degree, quite a bit! At least they had the air mold tested 3 months after the leak. We have been more than patient and unfortunately we are left with making this a public record. My living room is largely unusable and an embarrassment when we have people over since the ceiling is just unfinished drywall and water damaged drywall. All we want is for them to repair the stuff they damaged and return it to it's original condition. Is that too much too ask? read more

I can not stress how greatly I do not recommend and warn against WKL Roofing. My experience has been one of the worst I've had with a company of any sorts. There are the things that were done we done well. The workmanship on the roof itself is good overall. My main issues come from professionalism, customer service, and conflict resolution. To begin, the issues began the first day of work. They apparently have no ability to check the weather. My roof was stripped and then it began to down pour. Enough to overfill neighboring pools and flood into my ceiling causing it to collapse. This would have been entirely preventable if someone had checked the weather on their team. There was no attempt by anyone on their team to help catch the water pouring through or to help clean the water flooding my home. Due to the section that collapsed showing signs of older water damage of a non-current leak I was placed at fault for this and they refused to fix it in its entirety. They said that it would have come down anyways if someone were to have even hammered above it. This is simply untrue as there were no visible signs of damage before this rain. They met midway with rehanging the dry wall. After some time they sent workers who were not equipped to handle the job. They showed up 3.5 hours late. Took 3.5 hours to cut down he old dry wall and hang the new piece. This ended up being a full day of work missed. In this time they did not give any forewarning of the large mess they would be making. This room holds highly valuable instruments and electronics. The entire room was caked in dust with no attempt to clean. They put my drop cloth beneath the hole into the yard where it rained. There were multiple nails and razor blade left on the floor of the room as well. We have cats and children that come around so this is a great hazard. One of these went into my roommates bare foot. The drywall hung is broken with over and under sunken screws allowing the ceiling to hang loosely. They agreed to come rehang the drywall but have no such attempt. They have completely stopped returning any calls. A brief interlude before the next major issue. When my roommate would go out to smoke as work was being done, the workers would consistently try to talk to her / make moves, making her uncomfortable. Non of these men would speak to myself and this extremely unprofessional behavior. The second and largest issue that arose was the misplacement of a skylight. I took on the responsibility of doing the interior work to save a chunk of change. When I went to cut the hole on the inside where I had marked in spray paint as requested by WKL and as well as giving the exact measurements of its placement they were an entire foot off. They did not respond about this issue for nearly a week in which I wasn't going to let a hole in my ceiling to exist letting hot summer air into my home. I framed it and completed the work because it was workable but not what I paid for. It is now off center of the room and there has been no attempt by WKL to remedy this situation. If you have issues with this company after your roofing service they will not get back to you. They will not take your calls. Anyone who you can talk to can only relay information that goes no where. If you do have discussions about issues they do not take notes and you will end up having the conversation over and over again before they stop responding all together. Communication of this business internally and to their customers is some of the worst I have experienced. Due to lack of good faith of WKL's part this will be taken to small claims court to resolve the damages and incompletion of the job. Do not use this company. They don't give a crap about you or your property. read more

Went to office and spoke with owner, he told me 'all warranty's ' are voided after any hurricanes. Gave me an estimate of $350 to replace two hip caps. I had them out to bid on my roof before hurricane Matthew and they gave me an estimate of around 14,000. The roof didn't really need replacing so I decided to wait. After the hurricane I called them and said I would like to go,ahead and reroof. They stated that since it had been a year the cost of labor and materials had increased ( actually according to my research roofing materials prices are lower now) so the new price would be about 15,400.00 I said fine put me on the schedule. No response. I emailed again...can I get on the schedule..I have a deadline for insurance. Suddenly they have to re-measure....? Result: my roof grew by about 25. percent...who knew? New price...about 17000. What? He then blatantly asked me how much insurance money I had and stated he was sure any bids I had from other roofers would be for at least the same amount. He further stated that if my insurance company measured my roof and said it was smaller they would honor that measurement. In fact my insurance company did measure and the measurement was much less than the " new" measure that WKL stated was more correct than their previous measurement. He also appeared nervous and uneasy...like someone who has been sent on a mission they are not comfortable with perhaps? I showed him to the door and asked to have a supervisor or owner call me as I felt this was an obvious attempt to just charge as much as possible. I also suspected his company is pressuring him to raise old bids because everyone has insurance money to spend so why not? Had he stated, hey it's busy we've raised our prices your new price is.......I would have completely understood. But don't give some lame excuse about measuring wrong the first time. Just be honest. Honest I can deal with. Nothing wrong with making hay while the sun shines. Just tell the truth. read more

We chose WKL after getting three estimates for replacing our roof. They are very near our neighborhood, so we thought that we would support them and that they would be motivated to do a good job. Ken came out and gave an estimate in early August. They emailed the estimates and I responded to the email with a few clarifying questions. No one responded to the email for about a week, so then I called the office and had to leave a message. No one responded for several days, so I finally called Ken directly and left a voicemail and received a response to my initial email from an office staff the following day. By now, it's August 30th. I finally signed a contract and put down a deposit Sept 3rd. Install was Sept 10-13th with final inspection and payment on Sept 14th. It went pretty smoothly. I pointed out that they had damaged some of our siding, which they promised to send a crew out to repair. They were also scheduled to install gutters about three weeks later, at which point they said they could make a couple of other small repairs that the roofing crew had damaged. A couple of weeks passed and I expected to hear from them to confirm the gutter install, but heard nothing...a month, two months, my husband went to their office and they told us they had us scheduled for the first week of December. Closer to that time, we get no calls confirming. First week of December comes and goes and we hear nothing, so I call and they give the standard "no one wants to work" excuse, but tell me they are going to schedule me for the 20th of December. Today is the 20th and again I've heard nothing from them. Honestly, it's not even the fact that the work hasn't been done. It's the fact that I've spent $20K+ with a business and they don't even have the decency to pick up the phone and call me with an update. I guess they figure they got my big check for the roof, so who cares about the measly $700 for gutters? No focus on customer care, for sure. Definitely do not recommend. read more

I had my roof replaced about 3 years ago by WKL Roofing. At the end of the job I noticed a couple of things that were supposed to be done but were not done, and brought it to their attention before they left. They still neglected to do them and had to be called back. Last year after a hurricane there was some damage and I had a very hard time getting an appointment or even a call back. Finally, I was told that the damage was not covered by the warranty. I was very rudely accused of being rude and was disgusted with their handling of the situation. They did not stand by the warranty and I had to hire someone else to do the job. About 2 weeks ago there was again some damage resulting from a short but violent storm. My phone calls were not returned. Getting an appointment was very difficult and there was plenty of lack of consideration for the customer. Again, they refused to do the work that was covered by the warranty. First time I just moved on and hired someone else to do their job. This time... welcome to Yelp! read more
