The room set-up was perfect and the 2 servers assigned to us were great, even helped carry things out to my car when we were finished. We had a luncheon for 60 guests following my dad's funeral and the owner was very kind and accommodating. We told her what we wanted as far as the food, drink and space, and she made suggestions and worked with us every step of the way. We bought several bouquets of flowers the night before and she placed them all on tables with white tablecloths along with a large photo of my dad, so when we walked in, everything looked inviting. We ordered 5 different appetizers and everything was very good and nicely presented. The owner was present but also unobtrusive, seeing to our needs as the luncheon progressed. The best parts about this place were the free bread and our server... the positivity ends there. :( The chicken tenders tasted burnt. The fish and chips were soggy. The french fries were bland. Unbelievable. I never leave bad reviews, as I feel it is not necessary, but this is BARBARIC. We walked in with high hopes. We had never heard anything bad about this establishment; only positive remarks. We were sat down and greeted by the waitress. We ordered only waters, and my table and I decided to split one pizza between the three of us, which she seemed upset by. She even made a face, immediately giving us the impression that if we didn't order more, we weren't welcome. Some time passed; up to 30 minutes, with no waitress in sight, not even to let us know the wait might be long, which we would have been completely fine with. However, it was funny because we saw her go to every other table that was above our age range. I figured it was because of the stereotype that young people don't tip. After another 20 minutes of waiting, we openly expressed that almost an hour for ONE PIZZA was ridiculous and that we should leave. That is when the waitress finally decided to drop off the food. Frustrated and furious, we ate a half-cold pizza and immediately decided it wasn't worth waiting another long period of time with no service. We asked for the bill right away. This seemed to upset the waitress, and she walked off. We had to ask another waiter for napkins, which she saw, and then decided to casually stroll over with more napkins and a sarcastic attitude. We paid the bill and still tipped, but I have to admit it would have been higher if you hadn't made it so obvious that you didn't value us as customers. It felt like if the bill wasn't high enough, and neither was our age, we weren't welcome. THE CHERRY ON TOP was the fact that we all got food poisoning from the pizza. I WISH I was joking. I thought it was only me, just to find out my WHOLE TABLE experienced the exact same symptoms. I will NEVER willingly go here again. I wouldn't have even written this review if we had received even decent service. Between the dismissive attitude, the excessive wait for a single pizza, the lack of communication, and ending the night with food poisoning, this was easily the WORST dining experiences I've ever had. This place is hit or miss; it's a common choice on the direct area, considering Volare across the street is a bit more fine dining and Alex's Pizza also across the street isn't very good. They have a good set up and can accommodate groups in a private room. Plus they have a street side porch for dining as well. Atmosphere is generalized, no real persona or character, which is fine. I booked a reservation ahead of time since it was a busy night this particular evening. Was disappointed when I showed up for my reservation and was told I'd have to wait even further. Waited an additional 30 minutes on top of my reservation to be seated; not sure what a reservation does if you don't honor it? We did have a great server who was upfront and very green at his craft but he hustled. Food selection is American which is agreeable to me. We shared some apps and I liked the steak bites but in no way were they "Cajun" as labeled. Mushroom chicken quesadilla had no real flavor and no dipping sauce and was a bit too "wet" for my liking. Also had the sliders and they weren't very good. No real taste besides some sweetness in the bread or something. Didn't care for it. Couldn't taste the actual meat of the burger. I was a bit alarmed by the downward trend of the reviews from 2016 to the present. None the less, my wife & I had a great meal at Wixom Station. The dinner portions were generous. My wife had the fish & and chips. I ordered the fried shrimp with onion rings. Wow! The fish, shrimp & onion rings are not from a box but hand battered. Really large shrimp & onion rings. First time here and had a mixed experience. Here is how it breaks down: The not so great: - the music was pretty loud for 4pm (I am hard of hearing and to me, it sounded like the music volume was turned up and down the entire time we were there) - a sign letting us know to be nice to the staff that did show up (getting tired of this) because (see next) - slow service from server despite it being early and only two other tables filled. After our food was served, we never saw server again until we were done eating - glad our order was correct but I could have used more ketchup for fries. A quick check in would have been appreciated. - sadly, our server was having somebody new shadow her so this new employee may probably learn bad service too - tilapia Diane had little sauce on it (why be so skimpy on the artichokes, capers and sundries tomatoes - each piece of fish had 1 caper, 1 sliced artichoke quarter and maybe one sundried tomato). I really wanted to give this place a good review. The first thing we noticed was one of our booth seats had a big square of duct tape on it. The other side was uneven and sloped down when two people sat there. The meals were disappointing. One person ordered a mixed green salad which was nothing but iceberg lettuce. The chicken caprese ciabatta sandwhich came without fresh basil. We mentioned this and our server offered to have it remade but were then told they were out of basil. Another diner ordered the mushroom quesadilla with added steak bites. He was brought 2 separate meals! The only meal worth praise was the fish tacos. Popped in with my sis for a bite after the Sip 'n Stroll event. Like so many places, Wixom Station is hurting for help, but we understand and acknowledge dining out may require a bit more patience right now. We decided on a few appetizers, and started with the tomato soup, which was yummy. The bread sticks were warm and fresh. Eventually more event patrons came in and our server grew more frazzled, but we were pleasant and supportive - and patient - and soon had her laughing and relaxing when it was clear we weren't going to throw food or insults at her. We ordered the mushroom quesadilla to share, which we both enjoyed. The booth we were in was cozy, but the seats were uncomfortable. My sister won a gift certificate in the drawing that night. I asked the girl on phone to repeat order, she got it all right. What did I get? A very plain burger w bacon no cheese, no tomato, no pickle, not a condiment to be found. I had to add cheese and my condiments at home. Seriously? I've decided that its not the food that's bad here, it's the employees that are idiots. Perfect example of mediocrity. It's pretty clear whoever owns or runs Wixom Station has stopped caring. The quality of food and service has sadly declined since Wixom Station first opened. The Egg Plant Parmesan was a joke, if the owner is Italian he or she should be ashamed! Menu has not changed since the day it opened. Quality has dropped significantly over the years. Friendly service however the service last night was slow for a nearly empty restaurant at 7:30pm. Good independent restaurants flourish when they pay attention to the quality and details. Refreshes to the menu should be done at minimum on an annual basis. I hope whoever owns and runs Wixom Station invests a refresh for its menu and training for its staff. read more

We had a reservation, arrived, and as someone walked by they said "15 min" to the hostess. The hostess then looked at us and told us it would be 5-10 mins. There was 1 table occupied in the dining room at the time, and was leaving. There were people at the bar and at tables on the patio. So I came here with a couple friends because my buddy lives out this way and he gets an hour lunch at work so he said this was right next to his house and he really enjoys his place and we should try it. So of course I looked at the menu and read some of the reviews before coming just to see what they would have that I would enjoy since I am a vegetarian. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place because it was definitely really cool how it had a theme with an old style train station but it definitely was a modern building which I don't know the old train station was torn down and this was put in place of it, but I did like how it felt inside. So I ordered the spinach dip and the mushroom quesadilla for myself. My two friends end up ordering a burger and a sandwich for themselves and of course they got fried pickles and onion rings for the table. So my friends burger looked phenomenal and so did my friends sandwich. I did try the onion rings and they were phenomenal in my opinion, and so was the spinach dip. I didn't try the fried pickles because I'm not a pickle person personally but both my friends said they really enjoyed them. My one friend said they really enjoyed their sandwich. But personally for me, I enjoyed the spinach dip of course but to me, the quesadilla was just bland. I enjoyed that they try to do something unique with a mushroom quesadilla but personally, I feel like it was too big of cuts of mushroom and other items inside of it, and it all just kind of fell out all over the place. There was no flavor really to the quesadilla and that kind of put me off on it. I personally wouldn't come back just because nothing stood out to me when I came to this place on food wise other than the appetizers and I'm not gonna come back to a place just for appetizers.
