We were here on a recruiting visit for volleyball, it's D3 so the campus was small but it was very nice. The people up there were the friendliest group of people, as a whole, that I have ever met. I promise that just saying that doesn't do it justice, you wouldn't be able to truly appreciate it unless you are there. They have a Pre-law major which is important, and if some other things fall in line I'm sure I'll be visiting Springfield more often. read more

I am a proud alumnus of Wittenberg University class of 1999, and want to reflect on my time at the university as instrumental in shaping my successful career in marketing and leadership. During my time on campus, I was not only a dedicated student majoring in business administration but also an active participant in various organizations. My leadership roles within the Xi Chi chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, Student Senate, and Student Appellate Board allowed me to showcase my ability to manage and lead diverse groups effectively. Moreover, as the president of Union Board, I was given the opportunity to demonstrated remarkable organizational and financial management skills by bringing renowned entertainers to campus and laying the foundation for the now-thriving WittFest. I credit my experience as the president of Union Board at Wittenberg as a pivotal moment that shaped my career. The skills I developed, including leadership, strategic planning, budget management, and revenue generation, have been invaluable throughout my professional journey. The advice I would give to potential and current students is to focus on the importance of seizing opportunities, taking on challenging tasks, maintaining a positive mindset, and believing in oneself to achieve success. First, they are basically milking you out of your money and they do not care about your well being. All they really care about is athletics. Second, it is super expensive to go here and the scholarships are laughable. I could get a better deal anywhere else! Third, disability services never really helped me at all even when I asked for them to help me. They did not get back to me about getting tutors for several classes and I had to drop said classes, losing a lot of money. I received poor advising from them and subsequently started to fall behind on credits which cost my family a lot of money. Also, the dorm rooms were horrible. The room beds were hard as a rock, the walls thin as cardboard where you could hear the neighbors. Requiring 60 hours to live outside of a dorm? This is outrageous, pathetic, and ridiculous. The professors? Oh boy. You either got a really nice professor or a horrible one who hated their students. The campus life? Basically nothing to do on the weekends and there were no clubs that were interesting to me at all. Had no time to do anything social anyway because of my workload. Counseling was no help when I turned to them for assistance on getting through depression and insomnia. I was forced to figure it out myself, leading to my depression getting worse. I wouldn't recommend this place at all to anyone even if it were the last college on Earth. Would give zero stars if I could. You would be a fool to go here and waste your money and develop insomnia from a horrible dorm bed. Don't go here. You will be saddled with misery and debt if you do. read more

Great athletics, beautiful campus, strong academics, high quality people at every turn. Highly recommend.

If you are coming from somewhere with culture and places to spend money Wittenberg is going to bore you to tears. This is not a tier one school. The student body is very average and a lot of the best people, that don't play sports, jump ship first year. Academic clubs are severely under-financed and the amount of gym space is ridiculous. Wittenberg is a one note pony. Lots of 5th year seniors. Once you are in, its hard to get out. Springfield Ohio is a horrible place to live. Lots of $$$ with a name recognized for the school it was up until the 90's. read more

Wittenberg offers a good, well rounded liberal arts education and does their best to make it accessible and affordable for all. Over the past 15 or so years, they have hit some bumps with finances and administration, but have turned themselves around in such a way that there is too much to not notice! Many big BIG plans in the works for new residence halls, academic buildings, and other updates to the historic, stately campus. Students here are among some of the nicest and it is very easy to make friends and get involved. The curriculum is challenging and will push you to limits you never before experienced. The faculty will drop everything they're doing to ensure YOUR success and make sure you graduate Wittenberg successful and confident to take on the real world. There is NO better time to attend Wittenberg University other than right now because the strives, risks, and expansions they are taking will make history. Be apart of that history! Be a tiger! Get through the hardship and see through the rough spots. Find your light and pass it on. You will NOT regret it! read more

Wittenberg is a school of great professors, amazing student life, beautiful campus scenery, and high expense. If you are one of the lucky few who either have well-to-do parents or get great scholarships, your time spent at good old Witt will be wonderful and you won't have to worry too much about how you'll be paying student loans when you graduate with that English degree. While I'll be paying back my student loans until the day I die at this rate, I wouldn't trade my time at Wittenberg for the world. While I wasn't the best student, and Witt and I certainly had ups and downs in our relationship, the experiences you can have there are worth it all. read more
