Bliss, the nail manicurist, and Tiffany, the receptionist, Krystal family owner and operator, handled my concerns in a way that I found unprofessional and dismissive. I felt nervous about my hair even before I went in because her texts got increasingly dry and short the closer it got to my scheduled appointment. I wanted to cut my hair short by a few inches after having long hair for a while. I had to tell her that I want to see how my hair looks by cutting an inch at a time. I stopped asking her to cut it shorter because it was not looking any better. After she cut and blow dried it, my hair looked uneven and choppy. Usually hair stylists give you a mirror to see your hair from behind but not this time. I didn't know how it looked from the back until after the appointment. After she blow dried my hair, my ends were heavily swayed to the left. I grew more suspicious that she didn't care about my hair. I asked her to curl it hoping it would fix the uneven cut but my hair looked even shorter after curling. I thought it looked okay at the salon but after washing my hair and seeing it in its natural state from behind, it's actually more uneven and choppy than I thought. I felt horrible and still regret trusting her with my hair. As for color, I asked for a brown dimensional balayage and showed her pictures before the appointment and day of the appointment. She disregarded any of the pictures I showed her and left streaky random highlights from the 2000s around the base of my head that's not blended in with my hair. I had a bad feeling going in, and it only got worse. I feel embarrassed about my hair and my confidence plummeted. I want my long hair back.

And points me in right directions while still giving me similar to what I had in mind but in a way that suits me best. Jessica is also just the best vibe reader. If you want to gossip and talk? She will gossip and talk. If you want it to be quiet and just read or scroll, she will be mindful to only speak when it's important information and walking through steps of what she is doing for you to be informed. She fluctuates so well and is just a super kind and gentle person. In addition the head massages she gives are amazing. I am autistic and I have sensory issues up the wazoo that I can't have people touch me for long periods of time or even (3 seconds sometimes) like a massage, especially my scalp and you can imagine how tense I am if I never get the kinks and tension massaged out. For some reason, Jessica just does it right. I melt into her hands and she gives perfect pressure, she gets all the good spots, and keeps the water warm (if you like it warm). I brought a photo to Sherri, of the style I wanted to get, angled bob. She cut my hair, and used a lot of thinning shears, instead of the precision cut layering. I did not like it. She attempted to fix it, but could not. She does not know how to cut thin hair! But she has a nice personality, and I think with more training she can do better. I would not go back to her. I think she should also ask a client if they are OK with photos being taken. She took a number of photos of my haircut, under protest. I asked to see my haircut in the mirror with a smaller mirror reflection, she would not honor it. I think taking photos of people without their permission is a violation of their human rights.
